  1. Ah, the moral superiority of not cursing...So here are the problems I have with your post: 1. You equate cursing to acting like a 13 y/o. Not cool. Not only is this just completely wrong on many levels, but a couple years ago one of the prominent ettiquette authorities reversed their prior position on cursing by saying that when used judiciously, those words are necessary for conveying strong emotions from time to time. 2. The overwhelming moral superiority of your post. If you don't curse, fine. But are on a crusade to change everyone else's behavior? 3. Schools block plenty of sites for the most arcane reasons. I remember Nintendo.com being blocked at my middle school. Why? Because it was not appropriate to be accessing that site in a learning environment as it had no educational or research value. 4. You assume that anyone who disagrees with you curses a lot. I for one don't... 5. School is not the optimal place to dick around on the net. I bet your administrators would be apathetic to complaints of C&G getting blocked.
  2. Why is this being discussed? We should have better things to do than police and NetNanny our fellow members. Also, here's a thought: since C&G is a very community-oriented site, why should we worry about NWS stuff? Now, I definitely think threads or posts should have NWS disclaimers, but most of that stuff is in the Lounge anywayss...and if you're at work you really shouldn't be dicking around in the C&G Lounge. Honestly, unless your monitor also projects up onto the office projector screen for everyone to see, no one else should really be seeing this stuff. I don't think filters are necessary and I don't see anyone cursing much...also "ass" is not a curse word. It might have vulgar connotations, but so do many slang phrases that use perfectly acceptable words otherwise...as far as I'm concerned, BV loves donkeys and Satty mentions pink tacos as part of some promo gimmick by a local place for breast cancer awareness month. Hey, if Einstein Bros does it to their bagels, Taco Cabana Hut can do it for their greasy tacos.
  3. I kinda like it. Will wait until I see it in person for final verdict.

  6. TOOT TOOT!! What's that I hear? Why, it's the Josh E. Oliver horn a-tooting!
  7. WORST. THREAD. EVERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
  8. No drugs for me...
  9. Go back and read it again. Again the article was an excellent read the second time around. It posses the question' date=' "What does GM and Ford do in the misized SUV segment, when: 1) Both companies are heavily leveraged by those vehicles. 2) Sales drop off a cliff. The BW aticle is sound analysis back up by hard data. I can not dispute any opinions or judgements in the article because when the authors do opion or occasionally use colorful words here and there, it is back up by the sales data. There is no disputing that GM just put out a stop work on the NG GMT 360s and there is a crash GMT561 lambda program to cover themselves in the midsized segment as the market transitions OUT of BOF midsized suvs. There is no disputing that a 40% reduction in midsized SUV sales hurts GM and Ford a heck of lot more than the competition. That is hundred of thousands of vehicles compared to say only thousands for Toyota or Nissan. The significance is apparent when the volume is so much greater for GM and F. He's prolly just pissy about some arcane trivia fact being off.

    Damnit!

    Sucks.
  11. WORD. Everyone fakes it out there...and yes I'm in Indiana currently. No, everything's going right Loving it!
  12. Technically, yes. My main point though was that the FWD models were FWD before the onslaught of FWD on the marketplace, and as a result, retrofitting those old cars for RWD defeats their original purpose.
  13. Agreed. Monte and Impy should go RWD really...But I'd be hesitant to make anything less than a fullsizer RWD simply due to the fact that for traction purposes the extra weight is needed and anything smaller would be too unstable in adverse conditions for most of America. RWD is best suited for performance cars and cars likely used for towing...as well as big sedans/coupes. But the midsized and smaller stuff really should be FWD, unless it's like the Solstice and is explicitly a warm weather vehicle.
  14. No she's not...all she is is yet another wannabe Californian with tacky annoying music and artificial blonde.Rule #1: If you wanna pass as a Californian...don't be so whiny and LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! IM SOAKING UP THE SUN!! ...JUST DO IT Rule #2: Pop is a no-no. Stick to a harder or edgier sound. Rule #3: Going blonde? Yeaaaaaaaaaa SoCal is definitely brown. No I used to like her back when she wasn't so damned affected, but when she decided to go pop and blonde and try to be Britney Spears except twice as old? Not feeling it. Gimme some "Leaving Las Vegas" any day of the week, though...
  15. Oh good grief do you freak out everytime you think you see a new laugh line only to discover a hair on the mirror?
  16. Well hopefully everything will work out in the end.
  17. Yea, except he was talking about the older ones, hence the -OLDER CARS- tag.Yea, before the 1980s FWD onslaught people cared about the drivetrain because of their flat floor as well as superior traction in the winter. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you comment. FWD traction WAS their main luxury feature back in the day.

    I'm pregnant

haha any name is better than some of the ones celebrities use...geri halliwell recently gave birth and named her little girl Bluebell Madonna Halliwell...WTF???????????
  19. woops didnt see the saturn caveat...ummmmmmmm do you NEED a car? I'd almost wait another year or two for the EPIIs. Or RWD Impala. Honestly GM's current offerings do not excite me much, save for the SAAB 9-3 and SRX
  20. ok...i think this was a realistic question, not one for fantasyland. G5 sales would not grow if it were RWD. Riviera/Toronado/Eldorado wouldn't experience RWD sales growth...why? because their mojo was being the first mainstream FWD vehicles back in the 60s. Wanting them RWD just displays a gross ignorance.
  21. thats actually a real nice property...sucks you wont be there anymore
