  1. It sounds like that person is calling for open/free markets... i.e. get the government out of the economy. I'm sure some of you think i sound like 68 : rwd vs fwd ... i'm for limited government. the oil speculation is mostly driven by the price of gold, then speculation comes in. price of gold has come down compared to a few months ago, but inflation hurts everyone that's not very well off. The FED is illegal, and the paper money everyone uses, even I, is worthless. Corn is hella energy intensive to grow. industrial hemp would be a great way to really drive down the price of biofuels.
  2. "as the days go by". had to look up that it's "talking heads"
  3. i'd think to high oil pressure would mean something else.. and maybe pump cavitation. just finished a semester of fluid power. the hole in hydro. lifters...i'm not familiar enough with what the difference is... but i'd think the oil pressure would have to be upwards of 300psi to move something that has such a small contact area to the valve assembly.
  4. would combining your debt be a bad idea? as in both your names would be on the bills...
  5. that's awesome!

    next Cobalt?

the side kinda makes me think malibu/cts..... is there any front view of it? this seems like it'd work very well.
  7. maybe 2.0L turbo when the 3.6L gets DI? or replace the 2.4L with a 2.2 DI ?

    next Cobalt?

hopefully the SS will at least have a good 6speed auto to offer for those lame people that need it. lol
  9. i don't think it'd be a valve float problem, but more of a foaming oil problem.... from too much hitting the crank all the time..... I thought valve float was when you rev it so high the valve never fully closes before it opens again.
  10. looks good.
  11. what i heard from st.A i lost faith in them.... we'll see. also i heard a chance that they're considering a NIN style of release...?
  12. i don't know, but wouldn't the 60 degree block use less material than a 90 degree----more area inside the V, more material.
  13. wow. hope they're alright. hope that driver gets what's coming to him.
  14. i won't be there. got summer classes. lol
  15. diesel? hahah
  16. if it gets gas engines i think the 2.0L turbo di and the 3.6L di would be great engines for it. the concept was was fuel cell right?
  17. if it's comparable to a 3.8L (reman'd in 93 or so) 3speed regal wagon. 22 would prolly be accurate for a mix of driving. i used to get 17-18 on trips to and from highschool ....about 1/2 hilly 30-35mph and 1/2 45-55mph of an ~10 minute drive. steady 55-60mph with a lot of dead weight in the back on a trip to kentucky lake (sr. trip) i think i got 23...maybe 24 average. but those numbers were when gas was maybe 1.20 a gallon. aka 6 years ago. wish i still had it.... slap a 5speed or something on it, it'd been fun(ner)
  18. imagine if the 2.0diT was used instead of the 2.4L. i bet it could hit 35 cruising at rpms from 2100 up to 2300. get on that GM! hehe the 2100rpms @ 70-75mph is impressive...that's about what my parents 04 lesabre does at 70
  19. that VVT hemi will be impressive. it did gain 30-35hp
  20. nice. i've paid ~50% of all my tuition... my parents have been nice
  21. nice. lol the beer i typically buy is 3.50 / 16 ozs ( microbrew ).... but i'll drink a lot of "commercial" beers too.
  22. i'm gonna make a good guess saying that if you want to gain weight 2500 calories is prolly needed, and slowly increase your activity level...add maybe 30 mins / week every week. start by just walking...? i did take a health class last semester, ....that's all my qualifications. hehe I'd like to gain about 20lbs.... mostly muscle. i'll be biking again this summer, but i need upbody strength.
  23. only about 15 seconds of real sound.. boooo. love the car, not impressed with the videos though
  24. i've been on an Interpol kick lately
  25. it's not necessarily cancer, but we have so much technology that is wasted(or not used) souly (sp?) because of regulations. the batteries of the future will barely be that. pretty sure ultra caps are going to over take batteries...or some hybrid of them
