i'm thinking of just test driving an hhr ss myself, for the hell of it.
  3. we do get the most imports from canada... to bad we didn't invade them instead. LOL just kiddin the cunucks on the board.
  4. yay on no whale tail spoiler. lol I think the plate holder ruins it a little, but it's ok... it does look meaner than without it
  5. gotta admit, while not like the concept, the rear kit looks good....? ( not the wing though )
  6. technically all concept engines fit this. production... <10 for sure.
  7. china's pollution? just blame them anyway. lol
  8. I lived with a 3speed in my wagon. it got 17mpg in a mixed setting, hilly 30-35 and some 55 with barely getting the 3.8L to operating temp. the one trip i put a larger amount on on it it got closer to 25... with something around...maybe 300-400 lbs in the back of the car. but that was an '83.
  9. i want to see more. the grill looks odd in that pic though.
  10. this is awesome. lol the color looks... muted/flat... prolly not a sunny day. nice otherwise
  11. check your local library, ours had a hayes book for my 99 monte.

    Kia Koup Concept (NYIAS)

    Hellooooooh!!!!
  14. the 1.6L that's going into the aveo, it'll be better, supposedly getting 10% better fuel economy with an auto, or 15% with a manual will that be the aveo or the NG 'balt? either way, sounds like this combo will help with GM's economy in compact/subcompct arena. a 6speed will definitely liven up this size of car

it's better, may even run better than before ( wires/new plugs ) just replacing pcv valve/elbow and hoping an ordered hose/tube has a gromet on it for the rear valve cover.

it's certainly civic with some euro focus.
  17. it sleeted in my area for a little. then melted. but then again, we've had 1 very bad ice, another icing, then a flood, and several very nice days in between all those times. Happy Easter, and to all the pagans... just another holiday we "stole" from you. hoping for some more typical weather than this.
  18. the 3.6L would be very welcome in the H3 i'm sure.. along with a 6speed or 2-mode. as far as the alpha... ..... hm... 6.0L , just a tranny/slight tune option, or it'll die. wonder what gm will do with the 4cyl in the CO/Canyon.... 2.4L DI, DI the current one, or ..wonder how viable the 2.0L turbo would be...?
  19. sorry, I have to disagree... at least for the reasons you stated. If gas was still even $1.50 you think all this talk would still be as crazy as it is? oil hasn't gotten more expensive in terms of gold, the slowing economy and lagging $ is causing unrest (and all the other things going wrong) we do need to grow a pair, but for other reasons, not the population "explosion" in the past 20 years.
  20. lacross and the 3.8 dies early next year, yes? 3.6 into the lucerne, and then replaced on zeta for MY '11? it has been a great engine(if not updated), minus the broader gasket issues, but for the good of the brand/company, KILL IT.
  21. guessing this will just be most powerful motor( S )/lightest battery/lightest vehicle... the interesting part would be classes and if they have a transmission mandatory class.
  22. totally back to the original statement. the 2nd gen BAS better be affordable and put on the 3.6L before this 4cylinder talk comes back... cause if "they" want "real" performance and economy, either look at 'balts or wait for the lightest weight Alpha

got it put back together.. well, mostly my dad did, he drove it, it's much better from what he tells me. going to see what SES code is in it tomorrow and replace one boot that cracked that's on the valve cover. what was done, replace intake gaskets, ..didn't run, tore back down to them (vacuum leak, found the hose), rebuild it, idled rough, compression checked 150 - 175 psi on each cylinder, new plugs, wires from a 99 pont GA 3.4. hoping every thing's better, or at least back to only a seldom misfire in #4 (had the least comp)
  24. i thought the ultra only moved to the 3.5L...? oh that was 06 and 07s nvm.
