  1. Corvette purists are not really pissed and not on the same level at all, I'm one and I'm happy with the ME car so are many other Corvette guys. We do wish that they'd keep the front engine layout as well and GM may reconsider in the future.
  2. Yep, that's it. Oh yeah Mustang purists are pissed, I know a couple guys who are not happy about it at all.
  3. That's all you got out of it? Lol! Definitely wasn't cheap. I've been told it's because they were in the midst of changing the logo from the Wreath and Crest to the new Crest, but it hadn't been completed yet. First ELR's in 2014 had the old logo and the newer 2015's and 2016's had the new Crest logo on the grille and trunk lid along with a small "Cadillac" script on the trunk trim.
  4. The Adam Corolla Show was awesome, loved that show. Top Gear was one of my favs as well both British and American versions were great in their own way. The original Top Gear USA with Rutledge Wood, Adam Ferrara and Tanner Foust was hilarious and fun as h3ll to watch! They'd screw with each other like Clarkson did with May and Hammond. What a dream job! Get to drive exotics or clunkers to hammer on that aren't yours and if you break it the show pays for it 😂
  5. The one that comes standard will be a small box with interchangeable plugs for 120 or 240v similar to the one GM offered as standard in the Volt and ELR with a specific place to store it in the trunk. It won't pull the amps that one will want on a regular basis or be as good as a wall mounted dedicated Level 2 50 amp charging station, trust me it makes a big difference even if they say it will pull 32 amps on the mobile charger that's MAX and will vary greatly depending on the circuit and the environment the car is in. Attached pics are what Caddy offered for the Level 2 50 amp station with J1772 plug and 18 ft. cord, it was a pretty cool setup.
  6. Yes, they need to at least offer a Level 2 station to the buyer. EV buyers are very finicky and some feel entitled to one and will want options, trust me working for Blink I've seen and heard some pretty extravagant requests from early EV adopters. They can offer a Ford branded OEM station like Cadillac did with Bosch. They won't want to give the station to and pay to have it installed for the customer like Caddy did for the first 5k buyers/lessee's, but it's not going to be expected like it is from a luxury brand like Cadillac or even Tesla.
  7. That's good, the hardwired 48 amp wall mount Level 2 charging station on a dedicated 50/60 amp circuit would be the way to go for sure. Then leave the mobile switchable 120/240v box in the rear storage for traveling where there may not be a public station like rural areas.
  8. I don't miss many episodes either! Jay is a luck guy to have all the cars he does! I hear he's pretty cool and down to earth in real life. 👍🏻
  9. No reason to get defensive dude, I wasn't trying to correct you or show some sort of GM supremacy, that's a good one though! I have experience in the BEV and EVSE industry so I was giving my take on it. Take a couple deep breaths I didn't say the Mach-E was a POS like many already have. It's pretty much 2020 dude about 40 days away so 2022 MY vehicles are less than 2 years away normally releasing in late 3rd qtr. or early 4rd qtr. of the prior year. It's a Cadillac luxury vehicle so either way it will be FAR better than a Ford. If it were a Lincoln like it probably should be then it may be closer. There's always going to be haters of every brand especially large storied brands like GM and Ford and haters gonna hate. I'm not a Ford hater and hopefully for Ford's sake the Mach-E does well...they NEED IT to. Here's some good 'ole 'Merican built footage for ya! 🇺🇸💪🏻😎😜 Oh I've had Ford products along with GM and Chrysler products in business. I think you know which one I've had better luck with. Oh you and my "Mopar or Nocar" cousin would get along well! He's a Dodge nut!!
  10. CEO Hackett is just preaching to whatever shareholders they still have. Shows FoMoCo's lack of experience the EV industry as well...we shall see.
  11. Ford really needs to offer a Level 2 home charging station with this MACH-E-ATO. During the the reveal the Ford execs talked about an estimated 80% of charging being done at home and about offering a Ford "Mobile Charger", but it sounds like it's similar to the Chevy Volt style Level 1 110v 20amp wall plug unit, that would be DISASTROUS as it takes FOREVER to get any recharge range with a Level 1, I know first hand from a past EREV I had where I ended up installing a Level 2 unit with a dedicated circuit in my garage. Hopefully they do like Tesla does and Cadillac did with the ELR in offering a Level 2 240v 50amp wall mounted home charging station that they will even have professionally installed for the customer. I've worked in the EVSE industry with Blink Network here in Phoenix so I also know first hand that the "Ford Public EVSE Network" infrastructure that they are working on will take longer to complete than they think and most people do not want to have to sit in a long line for 30 - 45 min. or longer to finally be next to charge their EV, so the Level 2 home charging station would be where it's at. First Ford BEV? Well they had the Focus EV with a miserable 75-80 mi. range, real world was like 60 mi. when our engineers field tested it...it was an EPA compliance vehicle, but was still their first BEV "try". When GM launches their new BEV skateboard platform (BEV3) line in 2022 or '23 starting as a Cadillac SUV they'll be making some pretty good progress in that regard. GM also has a much better view and/or background with the EV market in the U.S. and really worldwide than Ford, being that they've had the Volt (EREV) and Bolt (BEV) out since 2011 and 2016 respectively. Also, like others have stated the Bolt is 2nd to 4th overall (depending on the publication) in a crowd of 40 total EV's available here in the U.S, not a bad showing at all. I'm not really a fan of the Bolt looks and it's too small if I was even in the market again even though the Bolt EUV will be larger, but Bolt does sell pretty well in the EV segment, you can't argue that. https://www.torquenews.com/1083/chevy-bolt-sales-comes-strong-september-making-it-number-one-affordable-ev-america I would still probably go with a Tesla Model S, X or Y at this point though.
  12. Good luck man! Sounds like you already had some bites recently on Indeed with your resume. I've had pretty good luck finding decent job on there in the high tech. industry as well.
  13. Well, we know they're not expanding Chattanooga for the Atlas because it's not selling all that well and Passat is nearly non-existent with sales in the crapper here. It's obviously just for their EV platform ID.x and battery packs they're going to manufacture there as well. https://cleantechnica.com/2019/11/15/volkswagen-ev-factory-in-chattanooga-will-include-battery-pack-manufacturing/
  14. How cool would this old girl have been? https://www.motor1.com/news/376247/cadillac-deville-roadster-rendering/
  15. Oh I know and I told him Rovers are not reliable at all. It was that or the GLA and the Mercedes dealer sales guy screwed around too long. He's in the medical field in ATL and not a car guy.
  16. Dieselgate turned a lot of people away from VW for good. Buddy of mine was a VW Golf diesel fanatic, but when that hit and they put the owners through hell to buy them back or keep with a payback he took the lose traded it for a Rover Evoque and didn't look back. VW sales are still pretty abysmal comparatively ever since, they need to just keep the majority of their production in Europe, where they thrive. Their US bread and butter SUV only sold just under 60K units in first full year and second year in production, 2019 is looking the same as 2018 66K through Oct. 2019. Volkswagen Atlas 2018 59.677 2017 27.119
  17. Drive it like you stole it!! Just get it back with 4 wheels still intact. 🤣
  18. Exactly. Even both names are 3 syllables that end in "ade". Can't blame Hyundai for tryin' 😁
  19. My point and @balthazar is that Cadillac has had the distinctive vertical LED light piping design cue front and back for over a decade and no other manf. has gone there until now with Hyu/Kia Palisade and K5. To your own point Cadillac has been doing it for 7 years in the front.
  20. 2008+ CTS. I had a White Diamond 2013 CTS-V Coupe (first pic) so I know first hand what it had. With the 2014 CTS it was more defined and went further up the fender, but the large headlight fixture had the long vertical LED light bar from bumper to top of fender in 2008. It's a distinctive Cadillac design cue long before the CT4 and CT5. Super aerodynamic in reverse though! 😂
  21. Fugly POS car! 🤢🤮
  22. Angus beef is still my fav. grilled animal, grew up on a farm where we raised our own grass fed beef, nothing better. A T-bone or NY Strip grilled medium with taters on the side please!
  23. Love some good seafood including tasty shell fish myself. Growing up in Oregon an hour drive from the Coast and eating some of the freshest seafood including the best dungeness crab I've ever had. Surprisingly, Phoenix and Scottsdale have some really good fresh seafood in fine dining restaurants and better grocery stores that's flown in daily just an hour flight from So. Cal. I've had some of the freshest and very tender grilled salmon and fresh shell fish here in Scottsdale at The Capital Grille, Eddie V's Prime Seafood, Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar and daily fresh oysters served at Dominick's Steakhouse. Gotta get your natural Selenium everyone!
  24. Corolla? LMAO! Relax dude, I was giving @dfelt a hard time. It's called friendly banter.
