  1. Very Cool! Now drop in the Supercharger and you just destroy the Hellcat!
  2. So in other words, they got a talking head with no real passion about the auto product line or any real knowledge of the auto's and use cases by the end users.
  3. Using Series makes far more sense to me a 46 year old Cadillac lover than the CT crap that I feel cheapens the line. Taking nothing away from Corvette, but you have a C6 corvette and now you want a CT6 100K lux sedan? This cheapens the branding to me, does not help it.
  4. That interior looks so cheap in the pictures, it better be upscale in real life as the pictures make it look like a plastic wanna be ricer race car!
  5. It better be a true change rather than smoke and mirrors as NY is over rated, Over Priced and Reeks of DECAY!
  6. So eventually the ATS and CTS will die as they are replaced like what? ATS = CT3 CTS = CT5 What about the SRX & Escalade? What does CT stand for? Cadillac Tempest? So far I am not impressed with the new head of Cadillac. His rebadge of Infinity hurt sales and confused everyone. I wonder about Cadillac with this moron at the head. Seems to be no imagination other than to follow what what done by the Germans. Car and Driver had more info including a note about Cadillac becoming a stand alone division and moving to NY. http://blog.caranddriver.com/you-dont-mess-with-the-johan-cadillac-names-new-flagship-ct6-future-products-to-follow-new-naming-strategy/ This statement is concerning "we’re certain “Escalade” will remain in place, even if de Nysschen can’t figure out why people keep buying them." Following the mention of that in the story and it takes you to the following story: http://blog.caranddriver.com/new-york-state-of-mind-cadillac-to-move-hq-to-nyc-become-standalone-business-unit/ Seems GM wants Cadillac to become a Global Stand Alone Brand and so will have a seperate HQ in New York City to allow freedom of growth and design. Anyone have any other info on this?
  7. SMK will love this and sing their praises. Yet over all it is just an average looking car. Nothing special for an AMG badge. Sad.
  8. SWEET, Yes this will shut up most but not all as haters love to hate! GM ELR 2.0
  9. In reading through the MSN/MotorTrend auto section today there was an interesting write up on the new Nissan GTR and how it will be a hybrid. Complete story here: http://preview.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/nissan%E2%80%99s-next-gt-r-details-emerge/ar-BB5nNfe Current GTR Concept GTR MotorTrend rendering I have to say I really like the MotorTrend rendering of the potential new GTR.
  10. Do it before winter hits if you decide to pull the trigger.
  11. Reminds me of how Dodge talked up their V6 for the Dakota and yet the V8 actually was more fuel efficient than the V6 even with Manuel trans in 1998. I agree that the V6 is the more impressive engine choice here even at a 1200+ cost. The best way to go.
  12. While some aspects of the car are interesting and do not follow the lead of other luxury makers, the car over all body of a coupe style is the same ol design. Boring and been there.
  13. OK, I am building my Colorado to see what it would come in as and I am shocked by one thing, it offers Rear Wheel Liners to keep the bed clean and reduce noise and dirt. I know the Chevy Luv trucks of the 70's did not have wheel liners but I remember seeing them on all trucks after that. Is GM going backwards in exposing the metal bed to noise rock chips and rust out just to save a couple bucks? $165 is a small price to pay but at the same time this seems stupid to not have them on the trucks by default! I love the premium Green color, but am shocked by some of the nickle and dime items that GM is charging for that I feel should be standard on a truck in the 21st century.
  14. They changed the web link but story and video still there. http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/olympia/2014/08/05/13403566/
  15. Cadillac could probably do just fine with the following Engine line: 2.8L 4cyl - 200 hp Duramax Diesel 3.6 V6 - 301 HP 3.6 TT V6 - 420 hp 6.2 V8 - 460 hp 6.2 V8 S/C - 650 hp
  16. This is the right move and I also agree that while there are still plenty of baby boomers who are buying those that only would consider German or Asian brands will find as more and more positive products hit the market and come to Cadillac as they see it is in deed a superior product. Dealerships who want to be a Chevy seller need to move onto those products than. Those dealerships are also not much on service or about the customer experience. We need dealerships that will cater to the luxury car buyer. Too many dealerships tend to try and go middle of the road. This is not what I expect from my Cadillac dealership.
  17. I agree with everyone that it makes no sense, but it does bring up an excellent question, what would be your list of the most improved cars of the last 10 years? Cadillac Escalade Cadillac CTS Cadillac CTS V Chevy Trucks GMC Trucks Ram Trucks Hyundia Sonata BMW M3 Chevy Impala Chevy Tahoe / Yukon
  18. That is SWEET!, Yes that is one configuration I have been looking at. The other would be a Mini Pickup or in this case the Mid size with the TT V6 and call it a Syclone! Thanks Roger, that is an awesome truck!
  19. Any update on what you have done to your new ride?
  20. Would love to see what you are doing to your baby.
  21. Nice write up, I am surprised to see a drop in bed liner. In today's auto world, I would have thought they would have done a Spray in bed liner like Rihno or LineX. Seems old school for the drop in and it always causes rub / rust issues unless you take it out once a year to wax the bed. I would rather it be spray on bed liner. I am also surprised by what to me looks like a bland dated dash. The air vents look like the same cheap plastic flip and spin ones that FORD uses. While functional as is the rest of the dash, I would have to say that this is sadly lacking in quality compared to what GM, Ram or even Ford is building now.
  22. Interesting, I would say the weight of the auto is part of the low MPG numbers for the 4 bangers and you are right being only 1MPG lower by going to the V6 makes one say why bother with a 4 wen I can get almost the same MPG with the 6. I am also looking forward to the numbers for the diesel.
