Scion News: Scion Misses Youth Market, Struggling In Sales
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Toyota
Kirkland Toyota Dealership just moved into their new place and where at the old one Scion had their own actual building, the new place, it is just a section within the dealership building. They have totally toned down the whole scion is a separate brand/platform. The Toyota dealership on highway 99 in edmonds also just converted their Scion stand alone floor into a large multilevel parking garage to store their inventory rather than have it off site. They have gone to a single sales floor with a section dedicated to Scion and the rest all about Toyota. I see this brand dying on the vine not surviving more than a few more years. Why else take away dedicated sales space in a separate building and going to a single building with a kiosk inside for the brand. -
I wonder if it is really a bad injector or just a dirty partially clogged one that needs a professional cleaning. Here in Seattle we have Dr. Injector and he has saved me a ton of money. My daughters Durango was acting like a bad injector and the dodge dealership wanted to replace them all at over 1K plus tax and doctor injector did an assesment of the injectors and recommended a professional cleaning was all that was needed and to stop using arco gas. Just under $500 including tax later and 3yrs down the road and it still drives great. I have come to the assessment that dealerships have turned true mechanics into parts changers with no real troubleshooting skills to understand what the problem really is. I do not know what all is included in the so called ASE certification in regards to actual troubleshooting skills training to really fix problems, but except for my cadillac dealership which has a clearly older mechanic base, experiance at chevy, ford and dodge of the last few years has not been good from a repair stand point.

Cadillac News: Rumorpile: Cadillac To Change Their Emblem
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
I think you take the Cadillac shield, add the ducks and then have the V go through the emblem would be sweet looking. -
Awesome pictures you posted, thank GMTruckGuy!

That looks freaking amazing. Love it big time. Show us the engine bay and some internal photo's please.

Cadillac News: Rumorpile: Cadillac To Change Their Emblem
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
While I am more than happy like everyone else here with the current logo, I can see going with a more modern V logo that would attract the youth more to the brand. -

I like that Idea Drew, would be great to see what people think. I personally like the V, but a modern take on the V with the Caddy logo so it looks fast and modern on the V series auto's but also gives a modern take on the rest of the family. -
Bentley News: Bentley Announces SUV For 2016
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Bentley
Will that trickle down to the A8? Expression 'trickle down to the A8' reads kinda funny, being that the A8 is Audi's flagship sedan You just wanted to give the A8 a complex problem being it will get the Hand Me Downs from Bentley.- 10 replies

Chevrolet News:Revealed! 2014 Chevrolet Malibu
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Would be interesting to see this as I have not noticed this on Fusions around Seattle nor on my Aunts Fusion. -
Anything is better than the Garbage Lexus puts out especially the LS. My aunt has owned two LS's and they both were always falling apart. Trim, fit and finish I just shook my head at. Asked her why she keeps buying this garbage and she says it is better than anything America builds and all her friends own them. Perfect example of lemmings following lemmings. Yet she did say she was frustrated at going back to the dealership every 2-3 months to have something fixed. She finally decided earlier this year to look around and traded it in on a loaded Ford Fusion and loves it and 5 months into the ownership has had zero problems causing her to go back to the dealership. I asked her how she liked the style over the Lexus and she said it reminds her of James Bond recent car and loves it. So strike one for Ford gaining a 76 year old Lexus owner now a Ford owner.

Independent Observations - July Car Spotting
G. David Felt replied to Camino LS6's topic in The Lounge
That is in amazing shape for an amphibian car. Totally rocks -
Excellent review, I do love the heads up display and the AWD system. For most people I agree with you that they will find this a worthy Cadillac and a big step up from the DTS/STS. The TT V6 should be a great shot in the arm for the car. I really like the heads up display on the glass and the flow of the dash. Makes for a wonderful driving experience. I can say from my own personal experience of driving one that at 6'6" tall while a very short person or kid could sit behind me, anyone over 5'8" tall will have to straddle the drivers seat as for big tall guys you loose all that rear leg room. Very nice write up, way to go Mud.

Chevrolet News:Revealed! 2014 Chevrolet Malibu
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Got it, now I see what your talking about and thinking about this, I do remember select cars that were low seating where your legs are pretty much straight out versus the bench chair style of seating. -

Which still doesn't tell the whole story. Cars like the Leaf and Beetle allow for much more upright seating. I love Upright Seating. The worst thing for me is being reclined trying to drive. Not sure how select youth can drive being reclined and barely able to see over the dash. Weird in my book. -
Chevrolet News:Revealed! 2014 Chevrolet Malibu
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
I agree that the width is an issue, I hate and suspect most hate to be bumping elbows with people as they try to be comfortable driving down the road. Packaging is an interesting area as a few have pointed out to me that the so called full size CUV triplets have just about the same internal space as the full size Tahoe SUV. Yet I bump elbows and do not have the head room. So while some might feel that these mid size CUV's are equal to a full size SUV, the packaging just does not go with the numbers. I will have to relook at the Malibu as I do not remember it being that bad as reg seems to state and his versa is clearly not that in the picture. Show us just how close that front seat is to the steering wheel. -

Jaguar News: Rumorpile: Jaguar Plans To Launch Entry Level Models
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jaguar
I am excited by this as I love the Jag style, so will be interested to see what they come up with. Will be far better than when Ford tried to do a 3 series fighter. That was just plain sad.- 3 replies

Amazing how many 70's and 80's low mileage Eldorado's are on the market. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/searchresults.xhtml?endYear=1990&zip=98043&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&sellerTypes=b&mmt=[CAD[ELDO[]CADOTH[]][]]&Log=0&modelCode1=ELDO&makeCode2=CAD&modelCode2=CADOTH&makeCode1=CAD&startYear=1981&numRecords=25&searchRadius=0&showcaseOwnerId=100016026&captureSearch=true&Log=0 Have to say that this 1985 Eldorado black with red interior is a nice one. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=98043&endYear=1990&modelCode1=ELDO&modelCode2=CADOTH&makeCode2=CAD&showcaseOwnerId=100016026&startYear=1981&makeCode1=CAD&listingType=used&listingTypes=used&searchRadius=0&mmt=[CAD[ELDO[]CADOTH[]][]]&listingId=348289842&listingIndex=25&Log=0 I could have so much fun with older caddy's if cash was no problem. -
Great Break down of Info Balthazar. I agree with you that Caddy needs a traditional Full Size Luxury Sedan in this price category with an Ala Cart listing of options. This should be a car that you can build how you want, not a pre package option of 2 or 3 choices kinda car.

Have to agree with you Drew here that especially on the black car these rims look undersized. Better on the silvery white car but still look small and yet it does not look like you can get much bigger unless you run the run flat tires.

Chevrolet News:Revealed! 2014 Chevrolet Malibu

That rear leg room is funny as I have only ever seen that on this car with people being under 5'6" tall driving, get taller people or people with long legs short body and you have very little leg room.
