This seems more of a regular rich person car...the uber rich will go for a Bentley and the mega rich will go for a Roller.. I like your thinking! Course they are all ubber rich compared to what I make.
-
Looks like any other normal high end conservative car. Seems to have noticeable body role. Not a fan of the 3 weird circle tail lights. Will still be very successful for them. Excess that the ubber rich will be happy to flaunt.

Camino, CTS will have Turbo 4 and DI 3.6 V6. Yet while the numbers are posted, they have not stated what the new MPG will be. Most who have driven a 3.6 V6 find it more than pleasant on power/performance. So why would they not have a boost here for MPG needs then a step up to the Twin Turbo for better performance and then for the limited crowd the V8 V. This seems to make perfect sense and I think people are hung up on the Twin Turbo V6. I just hope it is reliable. 2L I4 Turbo 3.6L DI V6 3.6L TT V6 6.2L Supercharged V8 Or what ever the new V V8 engine will be.

Chrysler News: Chrysler To Give 2014 200 A Short Run
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chrysler
This should be interesting. Wonder how long before someone slips out the new images online. -
No Cubical, this engine is a Caddy Engine. Camaro can have a twin scroll single turbo v6 of it's own marketing brand. We need to build the speciality of each brand and stop watering it down. The last thing we want to hear is people saying "There is the new XTS or CTS with that Chevy Engine.

Back again...GS style this time
G. David Felt replied to caddycruiser's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
At your rate of driving, I think you need to do a major road trip, the whole east coast, then from Alantic to Pacific on the southern route then up the Pacific Coast and back across I90 or Canada Highway 1. That should be a nice trip. -
On the way back down the mountain from Skiing in 25" of over night fresh powder and still dumping up there I saw a International pickup truck in a gold color being put up on a flatbed as it clearly had broke down. Not sure how old it was but it reminded me of all those 40-50's era pickup trucks.

Blocks are Blocks, I do not see this costing much, but I would think building the heads with cadillac logo's on them and the valve covers as a start and giving the rest a personalization so it really reads Cadillac would go a long way with peoples perception. I agree GM needs to start engines with Cadillac and build their luxury image as special for the brand and then allow use of the blocks in other lines. Starting off with saying this is a chevy engine we will use in Cadillac does not come across very well. Example is how many lemmings buy Accura and pay the premium for a honda engine. When honda was sponsoring F1, they would introduce engine elements into the accura line up as their Formula F1 proven technology and yes it would also show up in Honda products, but not with the fan fair Accura got to put on it.

The more I look at this car, the more I wonder just how or why they would put a nose on it like this. It would seem to me to cause unneeded air drag as the edges would cause wind to build up and resist against the car rather than smoothly flow around it.

Is it me or does this have some of the front end on the Oldmobile Drawings? Seems that funky front I have seen someplace else also. Main body reminds me of a Datsun 280Z with a funky front end. Not bad, but not great either.

Fabulous Flops: Chrysler 2.2L and 2.2L Turbo I
G. David Felt replied to Blake Noble's topic in Opinion
I think these engines worked fine as long as you did the maintenance and took care of the needs that come with a turbo engine, but as we have seen. Most people only want to drive an appliance and do nothing to it so engines that require routine maintenance tend to fail early and had many people complain about it when in reality it was their own fault. While these were not the best engines engineered, they do last if taken care of. -
Agreed, the FWD/downmarket mass production will hurt not help BMW/Audi/MB.

A proper review of what is current in the market from a marketing standpoint needs to be done so that GM can best understand how to put a twist on having a superior V8 beat the Marketing Fluff of a twin turbo v6. GM has always done a terrible job of market research and market understanding to build a proper story that drives people into the show room.

First question, what does MPLS stand for??? Agree with Drew and OcnBlu that advertising has already disappeared and the Encore which was awesome to sit in at the seattle show should be on the floor for people to get in and check out. It is a home run hit, just have to let them sit in it and sales will come.

Karma News: Henrik Fisker Resigns From Fisker Automotive
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Karma
Sounds like someone wanted his golden parachute, did not get it, saw there would be no more he could take from investors and exited stage left. Now we see what the investors will do and if they sell the technology to out of country companies or keep it American.
