WHY WHY WHY, THat is a freakin shame! There is a shop here in columbuis that continually has 10-15 older GM cars outside, they build tons of Donked vehicles. Saw a Olds cutty, 1969, with W-31 decals on the front fenders...IIRC W31 was a rare package...it had been donked....and it looked like they started with a high dollar nut and bolt restored car... Second W31 I've seen donked. I agree...but love the BRZ. That may well be my next ride, if I don't go for a Verano or a focus ST. Donking rare cares should be a crime. I never understood why you would do this as it just looks silly. Do you really get any better road handling? I think not.

Nice write up, you have been consistent in taking us on a journey. I have enjoyed it. I know you know your photography needs work, but always keep in mind is there things growing out the the person, the bike, the car etc. When you have poles growing out of the main object, it takes away from the image. It also helps people to show a before photo before disassemble so that one can get the right orientation of the part. I assumed based on your write up that we were looking at the inside of the fuel filling area. Very interesting design I will say that . Hope you have a good ride and nothing more goes wrong for the rest of the season.

This makes total sense. I really doubt you will find a dealership in the Ozarcs that would be able to sell a Viper. Same with a chevy dealership in boondocks of Idaho trying to sell a Corvette ZR1. When your dealing with 6 figure auto's, they should be kept to those dealers that can truly offer the best experiance available to the buyer.

My CTS had this sport mode... it was meant solely for hard driving situations. Put it in sport mode and drive it like you stole it, otherwise, let the transmission stay in normal mode. Very true I agree with both your statements, my CTS with sport mode is awesome when I drive it hard the way it was engineered. All luxury vendors have price value engines and I have yet to meet one that is truly buttery, I would say the writer would have done well to avoid making that statement about engines.

I actually have to disagree with you, I felt the whole story was a fair assessment of the ATS. We all felt the base 4 banger was the entry price value leader. It is just sad that the writer bangs it without mentioning that BMW and Audi also have their price leader. Over all the rest of the car was very positively reviewed.

Interesting, Interesting, Interesting. I think this is the right approach to not have this in Europe. Focus on the ATS and CTS for Europe and then add other new models as Cadillac's fortune grows.

I have to say that the grill is a knock off of the BMW, the headlamps scream Honda to me and the dash screams Subaru. Does Hyundai /Kia have any of their own DNA / Style trends or is it just copy bits and pieces from other car companies? Over all long term reliability and Resell value along with them finding their own style is their biggest challenges.

I agree for small people these cars will become a large part of the future, but for people north of 6', they will not be.

You can explain around it but the modern BMW line was built on the back of the 3 Series and as the owner get older and more money they moved to the 5 and 7 Series. The history from the 70's up shows the path of growth. BMW must have retains a good number of people as they are not selling less cars each year and have been keeping profitiable. When you are poor you buy a 3 series and when you finally make it you buy a 5, 7 or even something better. We also have seen Cadillac try to sell the big dollar car with no love for the line and we know where that went. You have to earn the public trust and then you can enhance your image. Once you do that then it opens the door for a flagship. If you can make a $40,000 car worth a damn then why should someone trust you with $80-100L? Either way GM is doing it the right way and has the cart behind the horse for once. +1 I totally agree!

Cubical I have to totally disagree with you. Out of College I bought my first pocket rocket, 1991 Ford Escort GT, the one Mazda built and it was a blast to drive till a moron trucker re-ended it and totaled the car. Then came a SRT4 Neon and that was a bad ass FWD. Look at what Audi has done with FWD luxury. You can so have a solid small FWD appliance without needing it to be RWD. If they tune it right, you will have a fun car to drive. Different niche...look at the original post. The FR-S and BRZ are RWD...if they are going to try and compete with them, then it needs to be RWD. FWD would be fine if they were doing a Mini competitor, though. Small RWD sports cars like the Miata, FR-S, etc and FWD 'hot hatches' like the GTI, Mini, 500 Abarth, etc occupy two distinctly different niches. Other than Driving dynamics of RWD versus FWD, if they are in the same price point and are well built fun machines to drive, I do not see the public caring about which set of wheels drives the auto.

Great review, I do Disagree with you as the Chevy Twin is way to Female for me. The Terrain is awesome looking. Still Wish GMC would make a Black Diamond edition. Metallic black paint with lots of clear coat, Black Chrome rims, all body chrome is black chrome and then black out windows. I think that would be a perfect package. I do agree after having driven one a couple months back at a dealership when my son was shopping around, I was disappointed in the V6 and would say the 4 is more than enough for now and people who want the power should wait for the 2013.

Hope Chevy/GM is listening and watching as those little hot concept cars they showed off will sell if they build it.

Very Cool, that is one of the better ad's I have seen Ford do. About time they got a pair of balls in putting their cars up against some top performance cars. M3 for sure is high but no reason not to show off just how well the car can handle.

Yea for me at 6'6" tall, sun roofs eat up valuable head room. I will pass on them also.

Freakin Awesome link, thanks for posting it. I loved the black race car on page 6 that has the glowing red hot header showing. On page 7 the 1959 Abarth is what they should have used for the current Abarth. That body style is lovely compared to the current but ugly Abarth.

So if we can get GM to bring the Opel Adam to the US shores, then we could have 3 versions: Entry - Buick Agile Middle - Buick Agile G Top - Buick Agile GS - This would be a Turbo Model
