Ugh. This is where you need the Harbor Freight $99 MIG (sometimes on sale for $89)... that's about 6~7 extractor kits. I don't use the extractor kits anymore, as they almost ALWAYS break and make the problem worse. Using the MIG to build up bolts has been great... plus the high heat shrinks the threaded part, so many times they come out finger loose. Yeah, its plastic. First gens had a metal plenum but second gens have a plastic one. I'm thinking of using Krylon Fusion next time I paint it. That's a good idea, although in that case It would probably be difficult to get a MIG in there in a tight space that's surrounded my plastic and carpet though. That's the bolt I sheared. Thankfully it wasn't stuck in there or I would have had a real hell of a job getting it out. I hear Shearing and HELL go hand in hand!

The problem with the recharge cans is that they contain oils and sealer... the R134A (or R12) will escape the system and leave the rest behind... and there is not a lot of volume in modern systems, anyway, so you can only top off a system a couple times before you really need to evacuate the whole system and start new. Thought I'd give it a try before going to the shop..never had any service on the A/C before, this is it's 13th summer..still cold, but not new-car cold.. Cubical I have used from O'Riely's their Nasa Space recharge can with adapter and it got both my 98 Dakota and Durango Ice Cold again. I am impressed and it saved me lots of money. A complete evac is the best way, but in todays economy, the can makes Financial Sense.

I agree with Balthazar that the number would be closer to around 500 - 1000 a year at most. This would be an excellent Halo car for Cadillac. I see the point that DADO is making but I think the real Question is would this car compete with the Farrari, Lambo and Bugatti of the world or more a AMG / M6 competition or maybe in between both. I think this would allow GM to build an amazing mid engine sports car that would truly rival the world and help them move technology forward. BMW M series and AMG both are using engines that are high reving but still have big Torque numbers just like the V engine. I personally am not thrilled by the way Farrari and Lambo have these 600HP motors with 400 Ft Lbs of torque. I would take a AMG or M and best yet V engine over what they build. Yes GM needs to focus the money on building quality mass produced cars that sell and bring in money, but they also could start on a Halo Car. I think GM should Partner with BMW since they have their Carbon Fiber plant here in Mosses Lake Washington where they have poached Carbon Fiber enginers from Boeing to build parts for their cars. They have a Carbon Fiber Bucket for their performance Auto's. Do not see why they would not want to recover their R&D costs by building a bucket as a core for a GM Auto.

WHY???? A dealership who sells lots of cars should get a better assortment of the new car than one who barely sold them. Because the Caliber is a pile and has been since it was introduced. I would feel differently if it were even halfway decent at the time of the Caliber's introduction. I know the caliber had corners cut, but still was a nice over all Entry level car in comparison to others out there. My point still stands, why should dealerships who can sell cars not get a better assortment in comparison to dealerships who do not put much effort into selling them.

Buick News: Buick Trademarks Electra.. Could This Mean A New Vehicle?
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Buick
While many of you have found memories and want to stay with the past memories, THIS is a GOOD thing for GM and Buick. Remember, to grow our AMERICAN AUTO COMPANY, we need to give stepping stones which are clear steps up the auto ladder as people earn more. The VOLT is sexy in it's own way with tech people and as people get more comfy and aware of it, they will buy more. Chevy Needs to do more Drive Volt Shows so people can come to learn about the technology and drive it and compare it. The best thing one could do is have the Volts and Prius side by side and even include the ugly Nissan Leaf for comparison and let the chips fall. Buick and Cadillac will have a successful hit if they keep to their own design language. Buick could sell tens of thousands of these in China alone which will help reduce the cost for the rest of the world. Caddilac will end up being that special one people will strive for to outdue their neighbor. -

Buick News: Buick Trademarks Electra.. Could This Mean A New Vehicle?

Electra is PERFECT for a Buick version of Chevy Volt!!! -
WOW, That is amazing, as I figured like the others maybe $500 for the frame so they could be rebuilt for a restore job.

The more Iook at this car, the more it makes me think of Japan Anime. I wonder if these morons are so hooked on their animation that they cannot think in the real world?

Makes sense for people to be able to test drive a dart and decide if they want to put money down. You know some will be pissed that they cannot drive and buy at the same time, yet supply and demand tends to dicktate this.

Volvo News: Meet The 508 HP, Polestar Volvo S60 Concept
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Volvo
Impressed or Not, that is the question. While numbers would seem impressive, the over all look and feel I get is a Gussed up Ford. It does not have the IT factor and leaves me wanting. Torque is low considering how many auto makers create this HP and have equal or better Torque. They come out with impressive HP and weak Torque. The inside is Volvo Bland and I while I do like the Racing Blue, the exterior just leaves me blaw. Never have I wanted a car to blow me away more than a volvo and yet I am still left wanting. -
This man, Toshinobu Minami is a F*@cking Idiot!!! To stay with such a stupid design language that has not allowed them to grow their brand truly reminds me of GM, FORD and Chrysler and every other idiot company now dead that made mistakes and never learned from them. TOO MUCH PRIDE is in the way of correcting a outragous styling mistake. The world keeps telling them how bad this is and they continue to ignor it saying people have gotten used to it?????? This man might be Text Book smart, but common sense stupid. I go as far as to call him out as an IDIOT in the Automotive World of Design. Acura deserves to continue to shrink and die with stupid people like this in charge.

WOW, Sounds like a variety of nice cars. I have to say that I still do not like the design language of the Lexus, Hyundia or Kia, but that is a subjective issue. Question for you, was there no GM Auto's there for test drive and if there was none of them left you with any impression to talk about?

I would for that price take the costco package of two lens and their support over Target.
