  1. I am amazed that they say it would be 2014 at the earliest. I would think they would want to get it in ASAP.
  2. Build your own reaper mobil, engine, paint it matt black, put in red LED's to have the headlights glow and you have your own death mobil. Ted Bundy would have loved it. JK about the Ted Bundy part.
  3. Debt
  4. If this car does inspire people like the original 240Z did, then they will have a hit on their hands. Yet it might just be me, but I see a dramatic shift by people to expecting certian level of refinement in an auto and I have to wonder if a bare bones driving machine will be a hit like it was in past years. Plus with all the government ninny devices, it makes the over all excitement level of driving to be very boring. One reason to hold onto and keep your older auto's.
  5. Drawings mean nothing today as they rarey ever allow the public to get any kind of feel for the new vehicle. Visualization is a lost art on the public. I can see what they wan to get across with this drawing, but I wonder if the public can see anything? So far in the last 10 years, previsualization has gone way down.
  6. I thought someone had a 12 speed tranny in the works.
  7. I would not be happy if GM kept changing the name of the Suburban or Yukon. Names need to carry on through good and bad times. This is the name recognition one wants. Only time a name change should be warranted is like the Nova I believe in spanish community it ment "No Go" or something like that. Names really need to be thought out for the sake of the image of a company, good will it builds.
  8. Sweet ride, it does look like it was an ambulance at one time. The roof line looks normal in regards to being it came from manufacturing this way, but it does look a few inches taller than other like versions of the same SUV. Over all it would be a very cool an fun truck to fix up as a classic.

  10. You Rock, thanks for the link. Guess I am not the only one to notice the subtle changes.
  11. I agree with you that the US has nothing like this and that on paper it seems like alot of power, but so far my experiance with scion is that their cars are slugs, cheap interiors, cheap cars. Remember, though, this is a Subaru...from what I've read in the magazines, it's a fun little car. It's a light RWD sports car, sounds like the ingredients are good. This is not a typical FWD Toyota appliance. True, but it is Subaru's first RWD, so I am being my normal hesitent self till I see the proof in the Pudding. Lunch Time
  12. I agree with you that the US has nothing like this and that on paper it seems like alot of power, but so far my experiance with scion is that their cars are slugs, cheap interiors, cheap cars. I do not have much expectations for this, as it will just be another way to try and get people into the toyota fold. GM and Ford could so do a better job if they really wanted. Just look at what Fiest and Focus have done around the world.
  13. Nice Photo, one reason I always turn off the time/date stamp. I would use Photoshop and then use the blend spong and just grab the surrounding darkness and go over the stamp and let it blend it to match the surrounding area and you will be pretty happy with it.
  14. Exactly, Bring in the new Trailblazer with the Duramax Line of engines with awesome fuel economy and towing and you will win over converts I truly believe.
  15. Drama
  16. Great that they will have the Blue TEC with AWD. That is the configuration to get. I love the external look all around, a nice refresh of the body. Inside I have mixed emotions, The air vent scream ricer racer boy mixed with overload of button technology. Just seems to really be a cut up dash still. Did anyone notice the g CLASS suv in the background of picture 17. It is a bit different than what they show on their web site. Wonder if this is an updated G SUV?
  17. WOW, The Trannies are getting more and more complicated. I can only imagen the amount of work to rebuild one of these. This should make it really smooth shifting besides the usual fuel savings, etc. Makes one wonder if you have a 9 speed or 12 speed tranny, just what benefit you gain or loose by using CVT. I would think that the whole band running up and down the two cones of a CVT would not have the Torque capabilities of a traditional geared tranny. Anyone else have input as to the benefits of one over the other? Do we have the traditional CVT camp versus traditional tranny camp? I wish Honda/Acura the best as they really need to inject some much needed cutting edge technology into their products which are extremely stale to the point of Mothball smelling.
  18. Tragedy
  19. There are plenty of people who have small fishing boats or waverunners and could use a smallSUV like this trailblazer without needing the big Tahoe.
  20. Seems Hyundai is going to lengths to really put the pressure on other auto companes to refresh and stay competttitive,
  21. Ug, Pass on an under powered POS. Yet someone will still buy it and ricer it for the next fast and furious movie over american models as it is a toyota and must be better than anything american.
  22. Yawn, Best Idea is Cubical for the hint to history of fins by putting the antenn's on the rear tips of the quarter panels
  23. I hope they kept the cool LED blue lighting they had in the ceiling. It will be interesting to see actual pictures of the production blazer to see how much detail from the concept they kept.
