  1. I understand and respect you for what you have stated here. Hopefully the break and rest will allow you to find peace and balance to jump back into the auto enthusiast world for the current and upcoming models. Good luck Camino,
  2. We'll seems you got your wish as the Gov and Chrysler seem to have reached a deal to save the company. Chrysler and Gov reach deal.
  3. MSN Auto Top American Auto's Pictures Here is the full story on Auto's American cannot live without. The link above is purely the pictures, nicely done. Link below is the story to read about. Not a bad piece in my opinion. Auto's American Cannot live without!
  4. Being a Software engineer, I never promised anyone I would be good with Grammer or Spelling. I understand everyone who liked the Heritage of Pontiac being mad, but I feel deep down there is much to be excited about in the near future and long term.
  5. I am Sure DF or one of the admins could assist you with a name change if you would like that. While I have not looked, I would think you could do it in the profile settings but I could be wrong. Good Luck.
  6. +1000 Balthazar, I have to say you really stated it well. This is a very hard time for the General and things will always change and at this time it seems we need to do some very painful change, but as a person who grew up with a dad running his own auto shop and saying every year one of the detroit 3 has a better year than the others and be flexible, he also said if you loved a maker of a car line even if they killed it off, give them time as they always end up coming out with something you will love. Unlike some who seem to just want to rip on the so called bland styles of auto's. I have stayed true to my heart even when GM did not have much that I liked in the late 90's. Yet I ended up supporting the General well in the last few years and will still support them.
  7. Sorry I was not Clear enough, I understood they are not going to rebadge the Vibe, but if they want to build a small higher gas milage small auto then either plan on a chevy model or go mid lux model. Do NOT try to have GMC or Buick sell a Chevy Equal auto. Compete against the foreign auto's and not themself's.
  8. I could see a Vibe as a GMC or Luxury Buick version, if they want to keep it cheep like the current Vibe then put it in the Chevy portfolio and drop one of the other cheep Chevy's.
  9. WOW, I know Toyota builds some crappy products but it seems they are now surpassing GM as the garbage builder of the world.
  10. Then you might as well start by dropping the CaddyXLR-V since it is a dead product and choose something from a company in business that makes a current product you like. If everyone not onlyl bought what they like but always bought non American product we would never have amounted to the country we became before the last 8 years of Rich indulgance and self destruction that has left us in the current possion we are now in. Demming and Drucker attempted to teach to the American Auto industry, all industry about long term planning and quality products. Sadly most Americans tend to think of only their own selfishness and instant gratification and now we wonder why we are in the poor shape we are now in. I agree and support peoples right to buy what they like and freedom of choice, I just ask that people take a hard look at where they spend their hard earned money and does it really help our country and your fellow citizen or does it help a foriegn owned company and country.
  11. Saw a Viper on Sunday at the winery I was visiting and then saw a Mclaren on Saturday also at another winery I was visiting.
  12. Hogwash, they have both built a number of cheap garbage auto's and still charge outlandish prices for lousy small auto's that only fit a portion of Americans. A real American will stay with their American companies through thick and thin. If you are not happy with the direction of GM then go with Ford or Chrysler, but not a German nut can car company.
  13. Only 5 inches, do we call it short and stubby????
  14. Yup, those brands are dead, as an American, support your fellow citizen and buy from an American Company. My heritage is German but I will never buy German, only American. Plus why would you want to buy a car from a company that charges $1500 for a basic service / tune up compared to about $500 for the same service from an American company. As far as I am concerned, my CTS, SRX and Escalade ESV Platinum beats anything that BMW or Mercedes has to offer.

  16. Very Sad, I think Chevy could benefit by bring the Ute back as the ElCamino. But I dought it right now due to to many Bean Counters and stupid Granola Munchin Tree Hugging morons that will influence the loss of quality Auto's.

  18. Sad you feel that way as the future will be bright once we get over these hard decisions that America must deal with.
  19. Sad but true that they will probably axe these product when a rebadge on the G8 could very easily bring excitement to the Buick label and give people that step up from a FWD Monte Carlo to a RWD Grand National auto. Too bad the auto Zars are not listening more to the public as I think the public is all for saving American companies and there are plenty of good Ideas out there for them to use.
  20. Over all Corolla is an Eco Box, whether you like Asian built, European Built or American Built Auto's, these type of cars are usually frugal, cheap and nothing impressive. On a personal Note, even though the auto is not built in america, I would still SUPPORT GM as the profits stay with an American Company here and will tend to support American jobs rather than buy from toyota and have the profits go back to Japan as an example. Over All, I would suggest and recomment a cobalt ove the Corolla any day.
  21. Death of Pontiac while sad is not unexpected. It would be very possible for the G8 to be moved over to Buick so that it becomes the New Grand Natioanl. just a thought. But at least they still have the right 3 step selling of Chevy, step up to Buick/GMC step up to Cadillac. love all that is left still.

  23. My Friends Resturant has Breakfast all day long, of course they are only open from 6am to 3pm as they only do breakfast and Lunch. Now with that said they have the best bacon in the world. They use premium extra thick Pepper bacon. It is always well cooked and no grease as they dry it off so you get a nice thick piece of bacon and you can even get them a bit crunch if you like. Never burnt. Perasonally I love their farmers plate. Cube Potatoes with 3 eggs, onions, chives, 6 slices of bacon all diced up, seasonnings and the who thing is put on a hot plate and covered in your choice of cheese. Come all melty and yummy. Big meal but oh so worth it. In regards to Eggs over medium, that is what the hash browns are for and any yoke left over you use your Biscuit to mop it up and leave a clean plate.
  24. As my friend who is a chef said, as long as the internal heat hits 160 you are Bacteria free. This is why Red Robin Gourmet Burger Joint asks you if you want it Rare, Med Rare, Med, & well done. Your Choice. Personally I love my Royal Red Robin Burger cooked Medium Rare. Awesome burger and I bet this burger will be the same way if it is Medium Rare.
  25. Great read, So true of GM. They can survive and come back stronger than ever. I think this will be the pivitol point of GM finally cleaning house and getting into a strong position with Chevy, BPG & Cadillac. I see a bright future for GM.
