  1. Awesome, congratulations on your new and better paying job! Always good to make more money.
  2. This I call BULLSHIT on as my brother In-law bought a diesel new for his appliance repair business and less then 100K miles the interior is broken to hell, the diesel engine has had to have major repairs by the Benze dealership and finally at 97K miles the Transmission has gone out. Yet his Ford and GM full size vans all have 2-300K miles and except for basic repairs for brakes, tires and a few other little things, neither the engines or transmissions have failed on him. O'h last thing is the mounts of the rear dif to the cab for a 1 ton dually broke also and had to be replaced. I see more and more Ford, GM and RAM vans out in service than Sprinters and I see plenty on the used lot. Sprinters are garbage and if they do last 300K miles not kilometers in Europe, then they are getting a better built van than the garbage they are here. Every service person I have talked to that has had Sprinters hates them and thinks they are garbage. Definitely NOT WORLD CLASS BUILT!
  3. Very cool info, thanks for keeping us updated.
  4. Allot of this will change as more EVs enter the market. EVs will show people why Torque is King!
  5. Agreed, while a Turbo 4 would be better than the 4 they are putting in there, the turbo would probably negate any improvement the e-assist would give.
  6. Love the AWD, but way too weird to use such underperforming engine.
  7. @Cmicasa the Great +1 I totally agree with you on the Chevy over the Benze!
  8. I can totally agree with you in regards to most auto's. Come to full size truck or SUV, I want it new no other drivers with minimal mileage just like how my son bought it.
  9. We so need to REBOOT Marketing on Auto's and drop this HP is King crap. Without proper Torque, all the HP in the world will do NADA without torque to get cha moving! Torque is King!!!
  10. Really? Where cause I have not seen it on the west coast yet. Especially in Seattle.
  11. I have to say with the cost of Auto's, buying a new one is understandable if like me you hold onto them for 10 years or longers. Offering them on used auto's older than 3yrs old is indentured servitude. I can see future generations working to pay off their parents bills still. So Sad, So Stupid.
  12. I have to disagree with the story about Lincoln. This might be hitting it for select markets, but I have to question the Highest loyalty rating of the luxury segment. I do not see Lincoln in the luxury segment yet. Lincoln is like the first generation of CTS and is a step towards that but has a long way to go. Every other auto in the Lincoln family right now especially the Navigator is very dated, Heavily a poor badge job and the interiors leave much to be desired, mainly on par with MB of the 1990's. So what they did their market survey by just talking to Baby Boomers who remember Lincoln of the 70's and early 80's?
  13. Went to my Nephews birthday party on Saturday. Stopped at the local target to pick up some last minute items I was asked to get before getting to the park. I pulled in and as I always do, I park far away to keep door dings at bay. In a couple pictures you can see my Escalade in the background. Not sure of the Year @balthazar I leave that to our might good of age recognition. But this size truck is what is needed for the inner city folks. Talk about a lovely AWD Scout truck.
  14. Complacent could be said about Benze. Looking from the street level of my local MB dealership. https://www.bing.com/maps?&ty=18&q=Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood Lynnwood WA&ss=ypid.YN925x15766918&ppois=47.8377494812012_-122.301597595215_Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood_YN925x15766918~&cp=47.837749~-122.301598&v=2&sV=1 I see a ton of Commercial vans, a bunch of used auto's and very few actual new MB auto's. One could say they are just as complacent. My local Cadillac dealership. https://www.bing.com/maps?q=doug's+northwest+cadillac&mkt=en&FORM=HDRSC4 I see more Cadillacs than MB auto's on Display and nothing commercial unlike MB.
  15. Your MADE IN AMERICA MB auto's are not that Made in America as you think. https://kogodnow.com/autoindex/ https://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/04/21/the-truth-about-american-made-vehicles.aspx Plenty more stories that cover American Made and the differences between Assembled in America and Made in America. Remember, Profits go home to Germany, engineering is pretty much all done in Germany for the MB product line up. End result is when you look at the bigger picture. MB does little for this country in comparison to companies headquartered here, Engineering here and building here.
  16. As some one who is always blowing the MB horn and saying it has to have the most powerful engines in every class at every model. Your comment makes no sense for the first two sentences. Now the 3rd sentence is what you should have started off with. It makes sense to keep it priced where they have it for their customer base of which many will not be looking at the competition nor at the Horsepower. Yet for those that do, this car is a failure in the competition of this class. I get the feeling that Honda Marketing really does not research their competition very well nor cares too. It is as if they are happy with just their loyal car fans who will follow what ever weak attempt they make.
  17. So very True! Time for some human pruning while sad, ya do have to clean up the DNA tree from time to time. We seem to have some very stupid peeps in society from the top down in this country and around the world.
  18. Right! With the latest Fast and Furious, which I hope is the last. Good movie but I think the franchise has run it's course. I see lots of ricer fans buying these and plowing them into things due to stupid decisions.
  19. So true, how else can anyone actually stand to drive it as a daily driver.
  20. Quoted for Truth! As to why I own an Escalade!
  21. I agree, as of right now there is NOTHING Lincoln or Infinity has that would excite me over Volvo. That could change once I see the new Navigator in person.
