Cadillac News: Cadillac XTS Refresh Surfaces In China
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
@oldshurst442 I get you do not like it, but the baby boomers love it and as long as we have millions buying them here and the Chinese who love their versions as personal limos it makes good sense to tweak and continue to build it. In fact I can see the XTS being moved to the classic form and still being built especially for the Limo, Livery and private auto chauffeur business at the airports past 2020. I agree with many that it is a relic of the past GM, but does make money, has a clear market that wants it and no reason to kill it. Why kill a money maker just because. Kinda like the stupid decision to kill the Avalanche / Escalade Ext.- 27 replies

I would have to agree with you, I have rarely seen the diesel trucks get above EPA MPG. I think this is mostly a car thing.

Lamborghini Urus SUV To Pack 650 Horsepower
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Lamborghini
I think depending on where you live you have two types of users. The look at me soccer mom where the luxury suv never goes off road or rarely gets messed up and those that want the luxury but do use them in the mountains. I see plenty of the luxury suv at the ski resorts during winter but more so during summer off road on the logging roads out camping. Weird? Yes but true for washington state. So many tree huggers want their luxury and be out in the wilds.- 19 replies

Lamborghini Urus SUV To Pack 650 Horsepower
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Lamborghini
I think allot of their previous customers are wanting SUV/CUVs now and if they want to hold onto them, they have to deliver what the customer wants. Cars are out of fashion as the hot trend is SUV/CUV crazyness. Not because they really need it.- 19 replies

Lamborghini Urus SUV To Pack 650 Horsepower
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Lamborghini
So Uranus is finally getting built. Just a car on steroids to be a CUV. I wonder how it will really stand up to the world wide competition especially when they have been building them for so much longer.- 19 replies

I can understand that and respect it. For me, I got my Escalade ESV Platinum edition as it did not seem that much more than a fully loaded Yukon XL Denali edition plus I liked the style and the few features better than the Yukon. With that said, I can also agree with you on the SS over the ATS. I would take one too if I could not afford a CTS-V edition.

And yet myself and @Cmicasa the Great who have put our money where our mouth is do not seem to have the problems so many of you state CUE has. So is this just repeating what other magazines are stating due to a lack of familiarity with the system or what?
-
That is not able to be confirmed. Marketing and sales are a fickle thing and without thousands being interviewed and documented that they have refused to buy Lincoln because of being FWD one has a hard time saying that this has stopped people. More likely the poorly built auto's, cheap material and fit/finish played a bigger part in people not buying Lincoln.
-
Buick and Lincoln do not need to emulate this 1980's warm over nor do they need to follow the whole RWD thing. FWD and AWD works and has not stopped plenty of people from buying Audi. CUE is good, but can be even better with more responsive touch system and a current nav equal to google or a couple other industry leaders. For the most part, CUE works just fine except when you get to non-GM drivers that seem to think CUE should be just like the germans or asians and cannot seem to figure out how to use it. Kinda like Apple or Windows. two different interfaces and part of the group is always confused.

Very cool, if I could fit in one, I would love to drive a Vantage. How did you get a test drive? -
@balthazar Sorry as I am sure the auto is very nice, but that interior is

Hell, they should just make that the standard for the last couple years of production. It is an awesome car as far as full size cars go.

@Drew Dowdell Cool, let us know how it lasts. FYI - Too funny on the Vacuum hose comment!

Interesting, if they truly build it from the ground up, having a 90 kWh battery to be better than the competition is what they should do or at least start with a 70 but also offer a 90 and say 110 kWh battery options.

Old warmed over auto. PASS The style is dated and dead on arrival. Dash reminds me of something out of the 80's. Overall nothing I would want Buick or Lincoln to emulate.

Get a Gel Battery, they usually will last twice as long as normal batteries and after sitting for 90+ days still have 99% of charge. I use them in my Suburban that sits for half the year. Awesome and always start.

Agree, that is a nice upgrade to the model to better fit in with the whole family. Sweet!

Ram News: 1 Million Ram Trucks Being Recalled For Software Issue
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
This should take just minutes, hell FCA could just release it on their web site and allow people to flash their own trucks. I bet this is a stop by, wait and we flash it and you go on your way deal. Sad that they messed something so simple and out there for so long up like this.- 5 replies

Sounds like people better get prepared for a slip in the actual building and delivery of the Tesla 3. I question if they actually build and ship 25K this year.

Sounds like they are hiding a much bigger problem that could pretty much bankrupt them with no recovery. UGLY!
