Thanks that was a good response and yes we need real performance based AWD / 4x4 trucks and SUV's. Caddy needs the wannabe's on V for the added profits it helps the company with, but no reason to not also let the CUV have some fun. I agree that I hate the BMW Coupe X series, ugly, useless in regards to the examples you supplied. But then I would never take my SS off road and I doubt anyone would take their GC SRT off road also. Kinda like the Porsche SUV.
-
What is wrong with a corvette based SUV? Trailblazer AWD SS that I own is a blast to drive. The GMC Typhoon was a blast. We need a V series Escalade. That would get me to trade in my current one. For those of us not fitting into performance cars, we need performance SUVs.

New York Daily News Published UPDATED list of Takata Airbag Recall Auto's Pretty cool that here is the updated list of all affected auto's talk about a crazy long list. Interesting that the Toyota HighLander is not on the list. http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/news/takata-airbag-recall-list-cars-article-1.2602999 Seems GM products are limited to the full size trucks and SUVs only unlike Dodge and MB have everything listed.

Very cool, maybe Holden can then apply the performance part to get us a new SS / performance AWD CUV for Chevy and GMC.

Howdy all, So doctors are coming in a bit to tell us the game plan. I totally agree about taking care of myself. I have already built a schedule for family and friends that have offered to stay with my mom in 8hr shifts. I am sleeping tonight and since I did the bulk of the stay with mom, everyone told me to take tomorrow off. So Skiing I go to get a good burn and work out. To bed tonight for a decent night sleep, ski and then after I get back home check in with the family. Wishing you all the best with your own family and Friends and hoping for a better flow as we move on with 2017.

Kia News: Kia Stinger Could Boast Hybrid and Electric Powertrains
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Kia
EV and Hybrid should be in everyone's plans moving forward. -
Thank you all for your wishes and my heart out to you all dealing with senior parents. Never easy. Just got home from the hospital. The MRI's have shown she had a total of 3 mini strokes. Doctors say she will fully recover with therapy and that it was caused by the stints they put in which causes minor blood vessels to reopen breaking the calcification causing the strokes. They are monitoring her to make sure no more complications as they also start therapy. Off to shower and back to work and plenty of caffeine. Crash this weekend when my sister stay with her. Sadly neither of my sisters can push through multiple days of staying awake with caffeine like me. Have a great Day to those excited for the new Prez and my condolences to those that feel this is a Dumb and Dumber Inauguration.

I see your point you are making and will agree to disagree. He was an obsessive controller, he know what he wanted and to hell with everyone else. It might never have come to him in email or letter form or any group presentation, but he would want to know the details of how they were getting this done and when it would be ready. I doubt he was that blind to it. Can VW get his outrageous golden parachute returned as they will need it to help pay the fines.

indiana Indiana Slaps new fee on EV's.

I get what you are saying and yes many products require Oil to be made. Still pissed with the Oil companies but I do get the point your making about pricing for Oil and currency manipulation. Still do not like it, but understand it. -
OK, I am putting EVERYONE on notice that My 2017 officially SUCKS! If I am short or snippy it is because I spent last weekend at the Hospital after my mom had a heart issue and got two stints. Just got to work as my sisters took over after I spent the night at the hospital again as my mom had a stroke yesterday. Fuck 2017! This year officially SUCKS!

BMW News: BMW To Begin Production of 2017 Diesel Vehicles
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
I think all auto companies are rethinking their Diesel strategy and I believe this could be the last go around by those that do get their EPA certification. Was looking at Def and shocked that MB on their Diesels charge $317 to refill the DEF tank which is needed to be filled twice a year based on 12,000 miles driven. Costs are much higher than they used to be for driving Diesel and I do not see the MPG off setting that cost much. I think Hybrid and EV's will clearly replace the so called benefit of having a Diesel car or SUV. I really only see value in having a Diesel in the trucks or FULL SIze SUV's like a suburban. The torque could be well used there. Course EV's once Batteries get better will replace that too. -
Cool, not a mini van person but still very cool! Will be a hit for the Pot head Crowd! Guess that covers much of Washington, Colorado, California!

Move over Kitty, The Demon is About to Slap your Ass

Good Question, I wonder who could answer who is using the MB Pee Solution versus building their own pee solution or an afterburner solution which is how I believe GM is doing it. GM's on PDF is an interesting read: http://www.chevrolet.com/content/dam/Chevrolet/northamerica/usa/nscwebsite/en/Home/Ownership/Manuals and Videos/02_pdf/SilveradoHD_DEF.pdf Wikipedia and Yes I know take it with a grain of salt states that VW is now licensing their BluTec solution. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlueTec Interesting Read on the EPA and their emission testing: http://www.autonews.com/article/20160927/OEM11/160929847/the-car-emissions-sleuth-whos-costing-fiat-chrysler-5-billion Interesting emissions story about VW and the rest of the auto industry with a good chart showing real emissions in testing. http://www.which.co.uk/news/2015/09/vw-diesel-emissions---its-only-half-the-story-416730/ 2007 based but good paper on Diesel emissions and control solutions: http://www.meca.org/galleries/files/MECA_Diesel_White_Paper_12-07-07_final.pdf Cool Info on Detroits DEF solution for their Class 8 Semi's https://demanddetroit.com/why-detroit/emissions/ Interesting info on the Wiki page about Emissions for the US auto market. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_emission_standards Some very good info on DEF. http://ppcdefsolutions.com/ Still I could not find a listing of who has built their own DEF exhaust solution versus licensing from MB the original DEF emissions solution builder.

indiana Indiana Slaps new fee on EV's.
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I get what you say and why I love EV's, the best way to BREAK the back of BIG OIL and their stupid Billions they get in R&D grants while making 100's of billions in profit by screwing over the little guy. Time to change things up, sadly we are on DUMB & DUMBER Inauguration day! -
indiana Indiana Slaps new fee on EV's.
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
According to a recent Forbes story more states are now charging additional fees for EV auto's. As you know Indiana has their $150 annual fee for EV's. Now add the following to the list: Georgia has started a $200 annual fee. Idaho has a $100 annual fee. Michigan has a $30 annual fee. Wyoming ch -
indiana Indiana Slaps new fee on EV's.
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
In the US, most states have either emission testing that is done or safety check before you can renew your license. This would be the time to record the odometer. Unless they go GPS module that is also installed in older auto's, they will only ever have my Odometer to check my miles in my 94 Suburban. So true Drew, I hate and do not play the suck up game of Office Politics. I have come to accept it, I make a solid good income and still working on a way to make my own company dream come true. -
And that is why EV's are AWESOME! No messy oil changes, gas fill ups, etc. Nice Clean plug-in.

indiana Indiana Slaps new fee on EV's.
G. David Felt replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I agree with Drew, some of us work damn hard and rarely get promoted and yet we survive merges, downsizing, up-sizing and seem to never get promoted. I also due to the work ethic my parents instilled in me will never do anything but 100%+ effort. I eventually will find my true calling that allows me to work for myself and achieve my wealth desire. Desire to work hard, make society better and grow can make even those of us who have been screwed by others a far more optimist than many others who get beat up once and quite. I have found that most of my growth has come from moving onto new startups and taking on new challenges than from promotions and I admit, I do not play politics well so that will always be a hurtful thing to my career since many others that do next to nothing but can kiss ass so well end up promoted even with their stinky brown lips.
