  1. This will be interesting to watch and see what really happens. Right now things might seem to be aligning but with all things China Owned, I wonder if it will really work out. Range Rover buy out by India has not worked out yet for improving their quality and China is famous for cutting corners so gotta wonder if the quality will go up or down? Definitively a wait and see moment.
  2. Awesome MPG!
  3. The Bolt doesn't compete against the Model 3. The only thing in common is that they're electric and have four wheels. That's like saying the Nissan Versa is a BMW 3 competitor. I disagree, All we have seen are pictures and allot of hyperbol and nothing to indicate that Tesla is really building a Model 3. They need to and hopefully will get the Model X CUV out the door thought I think without the gull wing doors. The BOLT done right will and can compete in the 30K segment against the Model 3 from Tesla. I also suspect GM will get it out and successfully sell the heck out of it compared to Tesla.
  4. Plus makes dried on Bug goo easy to clean off after a nasty summer of bug squashing and drying from a road trip. I really think even if you do only hold an auto for a couple years, the investment in the 3M nose cover that stays with the auto for life is worth it as it keeps the resell of the auto higher due to being chip free. http://clearmask.com/ http://www.invisiblemask.com/cgi-bin/products_ip/browser.cgi?prevtype=Automobiles+and+light+trucks&prevyear=2015&prevmake=CHEVROLET&prevmodel=COLORADO&prevsubmodel=&prevseries=&type=Automobiles+and+light+trucks&year=2015&make=CHEVROLET&model=COLORADO&submodel=LT Either one of these sites can handle that beauty of yours. Course I am sure your dealership could also do this for a fee as I do hear the labor is the hardest part of getting it on. Your truck besides the bumper, headlamps, hood, in otherwords the whole nose can also have the a pillars and top of cab done too. Very cool
  5. I have to say that Range Rover only has Old World Name recognition and proven off road warrior in the UK and some Europe areas. The Range Rover / Land Rovers are garbage that consistently breaks down and I see more on the side of the roads and in the shop than I see jeeps. Their product line truly sales only to inner city Badge Snobs as real world off road users want a Jeep, GM, Ford or Ram for their 4x4's. In fact I can honestly say I never see them in the mountains, at the ski resorts or anywhere but in the inner city on the west coast.
  6. Suspect GM will Beat Tesla with the Bolt and steal their sales. This is why Tesla introduced the Home battery pack, they know their days are numbered as GM and others jump into the competition. Tesla cars look dated.
  7. Suggest you get the 3M protective cover on the Nose of that beauty. I have them on all my auto's and they are chip free even after 10 years.
  8. Still the ELR was awesome improvement over the VOLT. Worth of a $55-60K Price Tag.
  9. Interseting, found that at 100K miles these autos tend to have over heating issues and it boils down to clogged radiators, clogged hoses and dead spot on the electric cooling fans so that the fans do not always work when you thing they will. How many miles on your auto?
  10. That works for the US market, but what about all the Morons in Europe that allow taxing on the size of the engine. The 2.0T is perfect for that market. You OK with it being there?
  11. Yeah. That's what I'm wondering here... I get what you guys mean as Maserati has the luxury level that if they build a competent SUV they should compete with Land Rover, but Jeep could bring the off road toughness to a competitor of Land Rover that Maserati could not bring. So many around here say Land Rover are the worlds best off road luxury SUV's, I believe Jeep could beat them at that game.
  12. I agree that not every auto in the companies lineup needs to be the most powerful for that class compared to everyone else. Driving dynamics can make up for less HP / Torque.
  13. Brand is still butt ugly with the Predator mouth Grill.
  14. Interesting times we live in as Jeep just announced they are going to build a luxury SUV to compete against the Germans and Cadillac. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-05-13/jeep-plans-luxury-model-to-take-on-mercedes-suvs-and-range-rover So it will be interesting to see how everyone else deals with the model change of who is a luxury maker and what auto's they actually sell. I think this slow down is good as it will get rid of the dealers who really do not have the pockets to serve the luxury market and have survived based on just moving steel. Better stronger network of dealers and those willing to invest in better showrooms and service centers will position Cadillac as a strong brand to compete against.
  15. I am Excited for Elio to get to market. I think we will see many more of these type of enclosed bikes. Once they get it CNG or Electric I can see it as a consumer hit for all. Now what was that Spell Hogwarts taught us that made idiots forget so we can repeal these stupid state laws against selling direct?
  16. Found this interesting story on a New Taxi that Singapore has created to help reduce green house gas and clean up their cities. Taxi can go 200km or 125 miles on a single charge and recharges 100% in 15 min. Full story here http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singapore/transport/story/made-singapore-electric-taxi-charges-fast-goes-the-distance-20150512
  17. Here are some very COOL Transit Connect Custom jobs! Clearly some get it that custom can make it happen and Rock a cool Look!
  18. Interesting at least the Chinese money is going to have a factory here.
  19. Interesting, I wonder how many they can really sell to be profitable.
  20. You mean the same types of subsidies that go towards CNG and Hydrogen vehicles? Also: those 'billions' aren't anything compared to the near $4.8 billion in subsidies that US oil companies receive yearly. Your country could've rebuilt $11 billion-worth of infrastructure instead of bailing out GM. The federal government's $2.4 billion electric's pledge goes to research, development and encourages local manufacturing. California's rebate program is around $110.2 million, and most other states/provinces count their rebate program pledges in the low million area. That's a drop in the bucket. Your government isn't forcing anyone to buy anything. They're making electric's more attractive, but you're still free to buy a Durango if you desire. I would agree that the OIL COMPANIES DO NOT need the billions they get from the GOV. I also think all alternative forms could be killed off for tax dollars and let the market decide. I get nothing from the benefits of CNG in WASHINGTON state. For me I sell a product that is better than traditional Petrol. Long term it pays for itself. When your tall like me, small auto's do not work. So I need my big auto's and the CAFE just needs to go away.
  21. Wonder how long till a quad turbo V6 as the new race engine of choice. Or as proven by EV West web site who built an electric race car that set a world record racing up Pikes Peak. Had 840 HP and 1120 lb-ft of torque. That puts the Viper to Shame!
  22. How about the fact that millions of vans have just been worn out by the trade industry and services need to replace these vans finally. So now we have a demand. Once all vans are updated / replaced we will see another lull. Personally most are pretty ugly to me.
  23. & Care to provide examples? The only 'restrictions' were market-driven high fuel prices. How about we start with the billions given out of tax payers dollars for electric auto's. We could better use that money to pay down debt and rebuild basic infrastructure than give away free electric everything. If the product is built right then the people will buy it and not need incentives.
