I agree. I would add the the downsized B Bodies of 1977-1990 as well. Actually, all full-sized RWD GM platforms up until 1990.

Supercruise offered in a 31 000 dollar GM vehicle? THAT, I believe, would be the lowest priced vehicle by GM that Supercruised is offered. Am I right? PLUS a sunroof... A base Camaro is at 28 Gs I believe. Unfortunately, even though the Bolt EUV is a tad on the smallish side of family hauling duties, I think, that it does a better job of that than the Camaro... A fully fully equipped Trax tops out at 25 Gs? The Buick equivalent reaches 30 Gs? The Hyundai Veloster N is 28 Gs. YES...like you have said, THIS particular EV is DEFINETELY just a hair more expensive than a comparable ICE CUV. But is that really a surprise, though? But...is that really such a huge deterrent? I dont think so. *SIGH* You TRY to steer the conversation to a more positive area, but the conversation keeps on getting sidetracked by absolute nonsense. Thank-you for trying to be rational about it as I too, would prefer to talk about the good things that GM did with the Bolt EUV, but certain things will NEVER change. Enabling bad behaviour seems to be a common theme lately...

So....if Im to understand, Chevrolet is actually offering a brand new electric vehicle, that actually went DOWN in price, yet here we are, questioning the dimensions of it and how closely it resembles the older model? With a few shytty reasons to hate it. (BIG surprise there...) Range staying the same, the vehicle becoming slightly bigger, BUT the price dropping a WHOPPING 5 grand yet we are bitchin' about useless things. A REAL 5 grand too. Not a phantom price that the consumer will NEVER see... The point is, as I called it, AFFORDABILITY for EVs starts and ends with the old guard OEMs. The ones that are established with factories built loooong ago, with the expertise in manufacturing quickly and with economies of scale. I wanna know why we arent focusing on the, what I deem to be, a BREAKTHROUGH in the START of AFFORDABILITY of EVs coming from General Motors.. THIS on the heals of Tesla announcing a 25 thousand dollar EV... https://electrek.co/2021/01/08/tesla-25000-electric-car-coming-sooner-than-we-thought/ I think talking about a REDUCTION in price for EVs seems a more interesting conversation than what you folk have been doing... But that is just me, I guess...

You guys know its a parody, right? A satire if you will. Its sarcasm just as much as how CERTAIN snobbish EV owners act righteously (Prius owners as well) as how CERTAIN EV haters WANT to view EV adopters... I saw this vid a year ago. The guy does FANTASTIC parodies of politics whether left leaning or right leaning, vegetarians, health advocates, exercise freaks, free speech and cancel culture, and all walks of life, really. Tezzla is just HIS way of poking fun at pompous Tesla owners AND EV haterz at the same time... But when one has an agenda AGAINST EVs...that one person took this parody as gospel... THAT is what is REALLY funny here. And the ONLY way I saw his post is when I log out, the IGNORE feature is not active... I would have NOT replied had it NOT been for Balthy's post... I replied to make sure Balthy understood that this guy speaks a certain way in his videos to accentuate the satire.

LOT TROLLING: 2021 Buick Envision Photos

If Lacrosse was two words rather than one, then maybe. But then again, une crosse could also mean a scam. Much ado about nothing really because Quebecois arent uptight about sexuality. And they get a good laugh about such things as well. Hence why GM went with Lacrosse on the next gen. Ill tell you what was a scam though. A REAL crosse. Buick not giving us a phoquing Riviera. Those Chinese Riviera concepts at the turn of this century sure were sweeeeet. Its like Buick in China had some real "FREE SPIRIT" back then. Ill tell you what, IF the Expos come back to Montreal sometime in my lifetime, an Andre Dawson "HAWK" edition might just sway me to buy one. Even if it was one of those a cute crossover thingys... -
And Alfa Romeo is as good as dead. WITH new investment I might add. Chrysler is a forgotten brand. Chrysler NEEDS product. ANY product at this juncture is better than waiting for new investment to come through. Chrysler might not have that kind of time to spare. Barely over 100 000 sales in 2020 with stale, old news stuff. The 300's last update was a decade ago. The Charger at least has been kept fresh with all kinds of exciting updates and marketing appeal. Pacifica and Grand Caravan. The latter is LITERALY a Dodge. Two minivans of a previous generation in a CUV/SUV world. At least they are 4 generations NEWER than the 300... but still one generation going on two for 2021 behind in the REAL world... All three Chrysler vehicles are in nearly extinct niches. ANY product is a PLUS for Chrysler the brand. Couple that with great marketing that Chryco usually gets done and Chrysler is alive again.

You know what would really be phoqued up? If Chrysler got neither a Fiat nor a Peugeot as a badge job, but an Opel. But seriously speaking. For the near near future, ANY badge job from ANY make is better than the alternative for Chrysler the brand. Chrysler has NO 3 models to sell, which at this point in time is as good as none. Stellantis CEO Tavares has to 1. give Chrysler some products to sell IMMEDIATLEY as Chrysler is starved to almost death 2. Which means badge engineering for the short term future. 3. get an awesome marketing program in place for Chrysler to help sell the new badge engineered product. 4. High end Peugeots would be ideal as Chrysler needs to maintain a high end appeal. High end Peugeots have what it takes for Chrysler to succeed. 5. After and if this succeeds, the next generation platforms could be personalized for Chrysler. 6. If it fails, Chrysler fails. But lets be honest, Chrysler is on borrowed time as we speak anyway. Stellantis does NOT have the time to engineer NEW product JUST for Chrysler. NEW product JUST for Chrysler will take 3 years at a minimum and Chrysler does NOT have 3 years of life left...

I share your sentiment regarding "autonomous" driving. Including Supercruising. I have never thought it it that way but ABSOLUTELY YES! -

Evy (as in Heavy Evy... There was a girl in my high school who was...lets say... pleasantly plump. Her nickname was Heavy Evy. Ive done this exact word association before in this thread with heavy. I cant help it. Every time I see the word heavy....I immediately think of Heavy Evy.)
