  1. Inspiration: Also...it kinda looks like a high on meth Ford designer was trying to green light a Taurus coupe.
  2. Yup...in Quebec too. We still have that in some ways still today. Stores close at 5:00 PM on the week-ends. Actually, it has been barely 20 years that stores open until 9:00 PM on the weekdays. Stores closed at 5:00 PM all week long.
  3. Are you buzzing again? JUST because there isnt a Silverado SS 454 or Ford F-150 Lightning like there was 20 years ago...doesnt mean these machines do not have performance... A Silverado has a a 6.2 liter 420 HP and 460 horsepower V8 under the hood. Also...the Ford Raptor IS a performance machine... And you saw what I wrote? I said 20 years ago... PERFORMANCE muscle trucks EXISTED while Elon Musk was still a baby... 1978 (And yes...it was performance for the time...) And there are a slew of other noteworthy performance trucks from then until now... The Cybertruck is still not in production but Ford will gladly sell you a performance pick-up right NOW And there is another that Ford could sell you RIGHT NOW The rest of your post is just word pollution...
  4. Correction... I just researched and I will retract my statement. Dealerships in Quebec are indeed closed. Along with the auto repair shops. Until April 13. I misunderstood the news from a week ago. Quebec shut down all non-essential business last week except pharmacies, hardware stores, grocery stores and gas stations. Restaurants with drive thrus could remain open (YAY!!!) but only serve peoples through the drive thru... Dealerships are closed and the auto repair shops would remain open...but 24 hours later, our politicians deemed auto repair shops non-essential, so those closed after. As of now, all auto related businesses are closed. But..the idiocy shall remain... Bicycle repair shop owners complained and convinced our politicians that THEIR services are essential so...BICYCLE repair shops are open... Also...we are in complete shut down of ALL businesses EXCEPT pharmacies and gas stations on Sundays.
  5. Any econobox FWD sedan, coupe, CUV made from 1975ish up until April 4, 2020 from any manufacturer fits into that description right there. I dont understand why you only target EVs that way... These arent even econoboxes...just generic GM FWD re-badges. and have a personality of dry, whole wheat toasted bread. OK...the Caddy with that weak ass transverse V8 is butterless whole wheat toasted bread with a smidgen of orange marmalade. Not even strawberry jam but shytty orange marmalade... Oh...look...its got amber style fog lamps,. This is EXACTLY what maniacal Honda fanbois and gals WANT from their cars... (up high mind you making them totally useless in foggy conditions but that discussion is for another day). Yeah... "VTEC just kicked in Yo" just oozes from this machine...
  6. Quebec closed auto repair shops deeming them not essential as well. And check this out...the dealership part to buy cars are open. Try to figure out that idiotic move... Other than that, Quebec politicians and health advisors are managing this pandemic quite well. Kudos to them.
  7. Which leads to the 1980s version Which then leads to And then to Funky Town Im having a blast listening to all this!!!
  8. Now I feel listening to loud arena rock. Too bad my wife wont allow me to sing on top of my lungs to disturb to whole damn neighborhood!
  9. And now Im into 1950s rock-n-roll love songs
  10. Santorini Blue And since I started with reminiscing of traveling back to Greece...with Mr. Orbison's angelic voice, I might as well continue listening to him.
  11. ^^^ Very soothing

  13. That is how my dad did stuff too. He did all kinds of stuff around the house. And when he wanted to make more than one of a particular object...he created jigs to replicate that very object he wanted fabricate. Working at Canadair and manufacturing aircraft, he learned that skill as that is how aircraft production was made back in the day. It's awesome Balthy that you could work with metal to fabricate jigs like that. And I bet you could work with any metal you could find. Scrap metal or otherwise! Just like my dad. I snapped his Chevy Celebrity's rear beam axle that connects both rear wheels (dont ask how I did that) and he, with a scrap metal bar he had laying around, he Frankensteined a repair job. Wasnt perfect. But it worked. We didnt have a lift either. He used what we had to lift the car. A couple of jacks and a jig to hold the car high enough so he could bolt and weld the shyte together. Aircraft grade nuts and bolts and the like... I just wished I was more serious about learning those skills from him. I just wished he FORCED me to learn those skills. He taught me. I observed, but I know he was aware that I was more into playing sports than to learn do it yourself skills from him. He was the one to teach me how to catch a baseball, how to bat, how to skate too... He taught me how to use tools as well... I guess, he knew I wanted to play sports more than fix things, so he was more serious in showing me how to play sports... Cant fault him there.. He was in tune to what I wanted more. (You were a GREAT dad, dad! I love you!) (tearing up as I write this!)
  14. The 755 HP ZR1 coundnt put the power down efficiently. It was barely faster than the Z06 in various performance criteria and hence why Tadge Juechter, THE Vette engineer pushed hard forand got the mid-engined platform for the next gen Vette, whcih happens to be the C8... so nothing new that you are bitchin about here...nothing of importance in other words...hence why I decided to make the font so small...because I dont care for that....its pollution and wate of time coming from you and nothing else. When the track focused C8s arrive, the REAL track focused C8s like a Z06, and its coming soon, very soon, your question will be answered...again, small font because just pollution and waste of time... Your question about what happens to the C8 now for 2020 and 2021? Here is your answer: https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/a31976328/2021-c8-mid-engine-corvette-updates-report/
  15. I wish I was also 1/10th as good as my dad as a handy man. My dad was born in 1926. Folks then...whether they were adults in 1926, or were born in 1926, all had to BE handymen. It was a necessity. It was THE way of life. No choice. Many reasons as to why that was. My dad was a soldier during the 2nd World War. The Canadian infantry and the war taught him very valuable handyman and survival techniques. My dad joined the USAAF in 1950. He went to Korea. He was a Staff Sergeant. He was taught many trades while being with the USAAF. Car mechanics. Generator mechanics. Aviation mechanics. Electrician. Plumbing. Wood working. Metal working. He had to improvise on how to fix things with the scarce materials he had, etc... I learned many things from him. How to check if brakes are good. Drum brakes, disc brakes. How to flush the radiator. If Im stuck, without coolant, to use water....in fact...before there was antifreeze, water was THE way to cool your car. He told me stories on how all owners of cars then used to flush the water out at night so it wont freeze over night...hence the name anti-freeze... I observed and learned how to fix things. Learned how to use tools. Problem is...I NEVER put that into practice...so now...without his guidance, I am not 100% sure of myself on how to approach handyman stuff. I do the easy things around the house, but I will not tackle the more laborious stuff. Example: In Quebec, you need a license to perform electrical stuff, because if you mess up and cause an electrical fire, you wont be paid insurance money and might even be pursued in a court of law. My dad had no electrician license, but he did all renovation electrical stuff on his own in his home, but he knew what to do... Plumbing same thing. Well....I will never touch that... Like I said...Ill do easy stuff. Ill fix a leaky faucet. I wont change the entire sink reconnecting the hoses and drains and stuff. Ill know what to do, on how to cut the hole in the wood cabinet to fit the sink in, how to caulk it properly, etc, but Id rather not. Ill caulk and re-caulk the bathtub, I wont install a new one. Ill change a old lighting fixture for a new one. I wont re-wire... Although I understand what needs to be done electricity wise concerning amperage and voltage and what breakers to use and the like... Lack of confidence, maybe? I can cut wood. Measure twice and cut once. I could screw and glue it together to make a project or two. But I lack that confidence to do so.
  16. Ouais!!!
  17. Quebec City
  18. Blu was a rebel from the day he left school He grew his hair long and broke all the rules He'd sit and listen to Thorogood's records all day With no ambitions to everyone's dismay His parents tried to teach him what life was about So he grew up the type they warned him about They said his friends were just a unruly mob And he should, get a haircut and get a real job Get a haircut and get a real job Clean your act up and dont be a slob Get it together like your big brother Bob Why dont you, get a haircut and get a real job He even tried that nine to five scene He told himself that it was all a bad dream He found a band with some good songs to play Now he partys all night and sleeps all day He met this chick, she was his number one fan She took him home to meet her mommy and dad They took one look at him and said, "Oh my god! Get a haircut and get a real job!"
  19. A similar sample for your viewing pleasure, perhaps?
  20. So. What kind of tip do you give her? (wink wink) My wife buzzes my hair also. We’ve been married for 17 years making her my sexy hair stylist for 16 and a half of those years. In the beginning, I used to cop a cheap feel here and there when she buzzed my hair. . Not so much now... The fantasy has been played out, I guess.
  21. Yes. I think they were and still are very strict about their lockdowns. There is no phoquing around. When China says its a lockdown, its a freakin complete and total lockdown, for EVERYBODY. NOBODY is roaming the streets. We whine about our rights and freedoms for SUGGESTED self isolation and we are willing to put our very lives for a way of life that is cancerous anyway... All for business and for the love of money. By Trump...but by ignorant (greedy) American and Canadian businessmen. And our stupidity to not take this lightly is our demise. (Example....those idiot kids in Florida Spring Break and our reaction to all of this as nonchalant as nonchalant could be. Businesses could be rebuilt and restarted. What is the phoquing panic and the fear? Quite the irony I see as our business and political leaders in the beginning were saying that the virus itself is overblown and its fear mongering by the media... And anybody saying otherwise that businesses could not be rebuilt is a liar and a con. The Big 3 in Detroit shut down car production when the US entered WW2 for 2-3 years. Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz were devastated and needed external monies to be rebuilt. Somehow...these automotive companies survived... Sure...Duesenberg and Packard died before or after WW2.... but we picked up the pieces...with the other surviving manufactures. Rebooting and retooling and companies that survive come out stronger. The weaker ones go away, sure. But new companies take their place. Newer, fresher ideas get spawned. Its a good thing. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes... yeah...Russia, another politically honest country.... Is political propaganda at its highest in human history for 2020?
  22. I dont believe China's numbers. I dont think the US has surpassed China. I think they are being very secretive about their numbers. Just like how they hid the outbreak in the beginning. I think they wanna try to spin their shyte into a positive in a weird shyte way. All of a sudden...with no vaccine or solution...after an explosion of infections since November...China's infections are miraculously stopped somehow in March? GTFO with that propaganda!!! If a lockdown is a solution...then Quebec and Canada would NOT be in the "exponential" phase right now!!! Because Canada and Quebec has had a somewhat lock down itself last week or so... Keep in mind...Self Isolation and lockdowns do NOT stop infections. It slows them down. Wuhan is said to be on a lessor shut down...or it will be in the next few days... If China does not record any more cases then their numbers are truly false. The virus is still out there. Especially when asymptomatic people are roaming around WITHOUT the knowledge of them being infected... In NO PHOQUING way did China test 1.3 BILLION people to know who has what... I have no proof of what Im saying. I dont know of any media that suggests what I say. Im just using my logic.
  23. I will repeat what I said before. Broken or unbroken that Covid19 will eventually break. We will have to pick up the broken pieces and start over again. Nothing unsurmountable. Nothing that humans havent done before in the aftermath of sooooo many set backs that we have faced as a species throughout our history. After plagues, wars, natural disasters...
