Sales: December 2019 Sales Figure Ticker
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Sales Figure Ticker
Maybe you didn't realize the 2019 Silverado is brand new and the "been for decades" thing is irrelevant. You also must be picky and choosey with your STL prices as I drove past two stations this morning at 2.29/gal. Here is a REAL image of gasoline prices in the STL area, not whatever you are looking for. Even premium prices are lower that whatever you were searching for. That's a very reasonable price and especially if you have a membership, get your gas there as well. Because he said "5--6 bucks per tank". -

24 gallons * $0.60 = $14.40/tank. -

Phoenix is more an anomaly as the rest of the country averages $0.60/gal over regular. https://www.erieinsurance.com/blog/regular-and-premium-gas Sorry, I read 24-28 and assumed 28 was pretty standard but with the crew cab being the most popular option that is a 24 gallon tank. I don't see 26 anywhere. https://media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/vehicles/silverado/2019.tab1.html I'll take a national average over one single station for statistical comparisons. -

It is not 5-6 bucks a tank more for premium in a Silverado. 28 gallon tank * $0.60 premium = $16.80 per tank. If your premium isn't 0.60 we can do $0.50 = $14.00 per tank -

Watch the Ford Mustang Mach-E Unveiling Live, 9 PM Eastern: Comments
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in LA Auto Show
FWIW, it looks like they sold 113,066 Mustangs globally in 2018 so even a 10% drop still keeps them over 100,000 units. Just in the US, there wasn't a 10% drop though, -4.42%. Using -5% as an estimate, we can lightly assume they sold ~107,400 for 2019, globally.- 179 replies

Yeah, I didn't see international sales but I think the Mustang was doing pretty well over in Europe but I don't know what kind of number defines "pretty well". I think the Mustang has been so iconic for ford that they would be willing to lose *some* money on it before actually calling it over.- 179 replies

That is wildly inaccurate... 346,048 Equinoxes vs 75,842 Mustangs. file:///C:/Users/capalupoc/Downloads/Deliveries Quarter 4 2019.pdf https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2019-us-muscle-car-sales-figures/- 179 replies

Ford and Lincoln are no longer(finally) just badge-jobs. Not long ago all Lincoln's were was a few small changes and they called it a day. Now, Lincoln gets their own treatment and share only underpinnings. I think it was a year or two ago they came out and said all of the switch-gear would be Lincoln-specific as well, so you really wouldn't see Ford when sitting in a Lincoln. I think that might have been when the current Navigator came out. -
I don't think it is anything major but add in the cost of DEF. I think it's supposed to be roughly a full tank per oil change but I believe that can vary by quite a bit based on weather and driving.
-
Oh weird, I assumed the other order but I see how it is flipped..
-
The Traverse is the most surprising on the list, to me.
-
Yeah at those speeds and loaded up, it sounds very respectable, also including the climbs through mountain passes through thin air. Does that have the n/a 3.5 then?
-
@surreal1272 What kind of fuel economy did you get on that adventure? How quick/slow were you going(most of the trip, at least)? N/A 3.5?
-
Did you make that trip solo??? That's quite the drive to do on your own and 45 minutes of sleep says it!
-
It seems by 2022 there will be quite a few offerings across the board.. and like Drew said, by 2025 most lineups will be electrified.
-
I can almost GUARANTEE it would not be louder than an AMG because they can't sell them loud and you're talking about a family-sized SUV. So Yes, AMG has done this before with the ML63, GL63, and G63 and everything proceeding those. The X5M and Cayenne also probably makes some great V8 noises.
-
-
There have been AMG V8's in SUVs for a bit already and a long time in the G-Wagen. It wouldn't sound the same, but they both have a unique and gnarly sound.
-
Exactly my thinking, haha.
-
I know I'll screw up what's actually "the best".. I'll choose five of my favorites. I know it's kind of the same thing.. but not exactly.
-
Wow, first, that's really cool that's even available and second, holy shet that's expensive!

I'm still yet to see a GT in person...
