  1. I just found out that it's had AWD basically the whole time.
  2. I really don't. And absolutely, the CT cars definitely look better, I just don't see a resemblance. Also, the LED curling up the fender was already designed by Kia before the CT5 was released.. It wasn't something they threw together in the last 2-3 months.
  3. The CT5's trunk is anything but huge, it's 11.9 cubic feet. For reference, a Corolla's trunk is 13.0 cubic feet. More appropriately; C Class trunk volume: 12.6 cubic feet E Class trunk volume: 13.1 cubic feet 3 Series trunk volume: 17.0 cubic feet 5 Series trunk volume: 14.5-18.7 cubic feet Audi A4 trunk volume: 13.0 cubic feet Audi A6 trunk volume: 13.7 cubic feet
  4. I genuinely do not see any of what you're seeing. All of those things you pointed out see like such a stretch to say they took those design cues.
  5. I really don't think this is much smaller than any compact CUV. I'm surprised how large they are when I see them in the wild, not that they're actually "large" but that they aren't near as small as I think of anything with the Fiat 500 name.

  7. 39 years is the amount of time a business can amortize/depreciate the expense. That's both property and building(done individually, obviously). Depending on the equipment itself, they're depreciated over 5-7 years.
  8. Oh no sh!t?? I genuinely thought it was only in the Sport. Good to know. Okay, also good to know. I didn't really think they were done as the sales numbers still seemed fairly strong and those would diminish more if the supply was limited.
  9. Ford's was only in the Fusion Sport... I think that started at like 34k, when it was still around. Actually, I don't know if they're still making them or if they're done yet. @Drew Dowdell, are they done making the Fusion? The one downside i see to this, from Toyota's point of view, is this will be stealing some sales from the RAV4 or Highlander now. This is probably why companies have held off for so long in offering AWD in their sedans, they sell AWD CUVs with better margins.
  10. I've debated doing this myself. Is there a charge to post it?
  11. Oh yeah, I didn't think about that. If it was pulled from the RAV4, it probably isn't rated for the output of the V6.
  12. I don't like that black piece you guys have pointed out...
  13. For the respective class though, all it's really for is not getting stuck in snow and a little more traction in the rain. You barley need anything to the rear to just not get stuck.
  14. it makes sense as most are probably comparing to the 4-cylinder CUVs anyway. There also may not be enough room for the AWD system with the V6..?
  15. This is great news to try and keep the sedan alive but it feels like a slight miss without the V6.
  16. It sounds like they are following Tesla's exact footprints... "Production will begin in 2020. Fully equipped vehicles with the highest performance level and largest battery pack will enter production first. Our 180 kWh and 135 kWh packs will be available at launch with the 105 kWh to follow in 2021."
  17. Tesla will immediately generate more noise because...they're established.
  18. I think Rivian is the one trying to steal mojo, not the other way around. Tesla has a foothold in the industry. Rivian hasn't sold a single production-grade/registerable vehicle yet.
  19. What two mid-size sedans can you NOT pull design cues from and say they look similar? Everything has the same general shape. The Camry might be the lone shark that's pretty unique and hasn't gained the "coupe" body style. Those genuinely do not look very similar outside of general shape. One has a bumper out front, the other has the grille, the lights are placed differently and shaped differently, the side "vents" are shaped completely different(one is more horizontal rectangle and the other is vertical and "pointier"). One mirror is on a door, the other on the body.
  20. It looks pretty sharp, IMO.
  21. I think there is a happy medium between 6 years and 72 years.
  22. Oh I don't think it is sustainable at all. Once people start to default on these 84/96 month loans and sales start to drop, because it feels inevitable, they'll be forced to extend model years. We could only hope that prices would hold steady for some time as well in doing that.
  23. Agreed. I firmly believe this is a big reason prices have jumped so high in the last 15 years or so. They are amortizing the billions of investment over only a handful of years instead of a decade and they need to recoup ASAP because of it.
  24. Now THIS saddens me.
