    I think they just aimed high with their initial announcement and there was enough wiggle room to be able to lower the prices, this is just my opinion though.

    First off, calm down. These are just renders. Second, it's so similar because that's all the user who created did was use bits and pieces of the current gens to make the Escalade.

    Hopefully they tighten up that front end some. I get the design language but I think that rendering is too basic. This will likely have those vents directing air around the front wheels and that rendering doesn't look like those work the same as the Silverado/Tahoe.

    I don't know a single auto enthusiast that doesn't think a V Series Escalade was/is a great idea. I still cannot fathom why they still haven't built one. It seems like such an easy money grab. The only thing I can think of is that the AWD/4WD system simply cannot handle 600hp/tq and they still want it to use a real 4WD system. If that were to be the case, take apart a G63 or G65 and re-engineer it.

    While so much of it is taken apart, you should dynomat everything. I've ridden in a vehicle where they dynomat-ed the wheel wells and it is amazing how much noise is coming from the tires and pavement. At that point, what's another $500-1000 to dynomat the inside of every panel and it would truly be whisper quite inside and out. I'm looking into putting a dynomat on the insides of my wheel wells because that would be great. Do you have everything taken out already and you're just waiting to start purchasing things or is there still plenty of disassembly to go? Project pictures??

    That's a really nice nip and tuck of the E Class. I think it just looks a little "tighter" and I like it. There's been talk of a new rotary for decades at this point... I'll only believe it when there's one at an autoshow.

    72k isn't worth it, IMHO. That's just absurd.. What the price difference for 50% of that battery pack for 400 miles of range? Or 500 miles of range?

    There are plenty of swaps that are done just because they can and want to. Stuffing a Ferrari 458 engine in a BRZ is one that comes to mind. They can into all sorts of issues but just wanted to because they had the skill and money. Anybody doing real swaps like that are just doing it because they want to, more than anything else. Like @balthazar said, in the end, it's just because they want to.

    Personally, I doubt it will ever go down but if it just stays the same over the course of 5 years or so and accounting for inflation, it will be "like" it goes down. We have no clue how low it will or won't be as a Ford or Lincoln. I think it is assumed it will be a Lincoln, from what I've read. That is just speculation though as Ford and Rivian haven't released anything about it yet.

    Very nice. While 60k+ is well out of my price range, it isn't all THAT terrible considering what you're getting and the performance and packaging these offer. We will see how things pan out though. Maybe it turns into a huge flop, maybe they get 200k sales a year and sustain that. We shall see.

    Yep, I have really high hopes for the R1T. Hopefully my hopes aren't becoming too high and then I'll be disappointed but I think their whole business plan and partnership(s) have me thinking they will be very successful.

    It's not terrible but if gives off a gimmicky vibe to me. I'd go with a Rivian well before one of these, and they're made and owned in the US and not partially Chinese owned.

    I'm not 100% sure but I believe we have the Commercial Service as we have an old building that's zones both commercial and residential and we have a 3-phase service. I'll have to check out our bill as we've only been in it for a just over a month. But, here are my rates.

    I'm on a bus every work day, 30 miles each way for work. I agree it would be absolutely wonderful if they were whisper quiet but I've never had an issue with the smell. I've never noticed them smelling bad or smelling of anything.

    It's interesting to see them already into so many different things yet they are able to use their same basic skateboard-style platform for everything. This is a very promising business strategy.

    Only because it was a pretty big marketing tool they used to sell their vehicles. "Buy our vehicle and never pay for fuel!"

    Oh I was just joking about going in in a Cardinals' uniform. I would expect him to go in in a Rockies uniform. That was when he had his best years. He had a pretty good send off here in STL being able to play in a World Series and making another playoff run the following year... he only had one playoff series prior to STL and he got 5 playoff series in STL. in 1.25 seasons. It's a shame what the Expos organization turned into. I have very little personal history of them being in Montreal because of my age but before they moved nobody went there and they were always losing. It seems like they were once a great organization and there had to have been a change in ownership or management that turned them south(both literally and metaphorically).

    I remember watching this game live and his first at-bat in a Cardinals' uniform. He was appreciated more in the 1.5 years here than he ever got in MTL or COL. Check out 2hr, 12 min and 30 seconds in. Welcome to STL big boy!

    He should go in with the birds on the bat. I'm very glad to have seen him here and glad he got to make a World Series appearance with us. Also, I have NO CLUE how somebody couldn't vote for Jeter to be voted in. It should have been a 100% vote, hands-down.
