  1. lol I wish I was 19 or 20.. I'll be 29 at the end of the month..
  2. I actually don't think a car(Malibu or Altima in your scenario) would outsell the Bolt. Sedan sales have tanked so hard that these at least give off a CUV vibe and I think better yet would be an "actual" CUV like the Nox or Rogue like you exampled. Expensive sedans? People aren't buying them as they sit let alone if you tack on whatever the EV premium would be. People seem to want their versatility in the hatch area.
  3. lol exactly. No fanboy ever thinks they're blinded by their brand's Kool Aid. They just think their brand is the best.
  4. No probby! Pshhh.. I HOPE it is that when they needed the car Ford was struggling with production and they were just sending them to customers but If I'm being honest, I think they're playing the Ferrari card and don't want their car compared to anything else because if it isn't fast enough then they look stupid. I don't like that. I hope some owner lets a magazine loan one for a couple of days to get a good test done and kind of shove that in Ford's face.
  5. The EV blinders are on because you try and convert every thread into a thread where X vehicle should have an EV option or "look what this could do if it had 1200tq motors hooked up to it". "Convert" is the wrong word.. you bring them up in nearly every thread. And that's okay. But that shows you're clearly biased towards them like smk and Euro vehicles and myself towards Ferds.
  6. Better article, imo. http://www.caranddriver.com/features/lightning-lap-2017-19-hot-performance-cars-attack-vir-feature That car is an absolute MONSTER though. No doubt about that.
  7. I will not enjoy the Murano. I pretty much despise Nissan's product line but I'm not wearing EV blinders and saying a smaller vehicle has more room. I fit great in a Focus, roomiest vehicle on the market and I've driven Range Rovers and G-Wagens. Way roomier. It must just be how I fit in it.
  8. I know in IL if it was totaled out and I'm paid by my insurance company then it would have a "salvage" title if I wanted to buy it back. Not worth much with a "salvage" title or even a "rebuilt" title if you fixed a salvaged vehicle.
  9. Yeah there are a lot of vehicles that their visibility kind of blows now. I think a lot of that is due to styling but also crash ratings.
  10. Chevy is working with a pretty damn good product lineup right now. They have a lot of new vehicle that are brand new within the last 2 years and they're all towards the top of their class if not the top of their class. They don't, and shouldn't, be discounting much. They're probably just discounting to try and stay competitive and/or bring in some foot traffic.
  11. You, sir, are the one grasping. Only you defend FCA till you're blue in the face over their old, dated product line. I know other Dodge/Ram fans and they acknowledge they aren't in a very good financial state with old products. They still love what they love but they know there are other companies doing better. Serg is openly shopping them and nobody even wants them. I wonder why that may be?
  12. There were actually 2 Chevys in there, Silverado at #2 and Trax at #26.. but good lord look at the flood of Fords and FCAs.. I'm pretty sure that's the entire Ford lineup. No Lincolns but every Ford. lol 8-14 = Fords. Edit: Oops, didn't realize you guys covered that already.. I was reading on that site and just started typing.
  13. I think the Charger setup looks way better than the 300. Just the shape of the center stack alone and how the dash flows over it looks so much better than a rounded off square in the top center.
  14. I'd post pics but photobucket blows ass now... But throw up a LaX interior next to a 300 interior.. I'd wager good money which would be a clear winner to a group of non-biased non-car-people. True... but that's not GM's fault that FCA is letting the 300's rot.. They're still competitors regardless of how old FCA lets their models get. That's just more a props to GM for putting out a better overall product. But don't get be wrong, all of us car guys would prefer RWD and a V8 which only one of these two offer.
  15. Shouldn't a 300(a slightly more premium model) be compared to a Buick not a Chevy? In which the Buick kicks dirt in the 300's face.
  16. omg.. the raked roof line has zero to do with the driver's head room. That lowers the rear passengers' head room but nothing to do with the driver. Personally, I think you're just full of $h! and will do anything to defend a Bolt against any vehicle out there(because that's kind of what you do). It's a great vehicle. I like it as well but I have no clue how you can say there is more space inside of one than a larger Murano. I know there can be packaging differences that tweak some space here and there but a shorter head room is shorter head room. I can see more room that isn't measurable in the hip and knee areas that don't include how tight a center console or foot well may be or even side bolstering on a tight bucket seat.
  17. That interior is a train wreck of colors. Eliminate any 1 color and it would look better.
  18. I sure hope you're joking... Why in the world would they not measure them at the maximum positions? What benefit would there be to giving measurements that are smaller than their capabilities? We should call in an expert here.. @Drew Dowdell, You should be able to clarify for us on this subject.
  19. I wouldn't want that portfolio as a whole either. There's too much that needs revamped and the product lines are so weak outside of Ram and Jeep that they'd literally just be buying a name. I want Dodge to have a full lineup like the rest of the world but they just don't and it doesn't look like they will anytime soon either.
  20. Personally, I don't see anything specific that looks like the Acura more than any other CUV/jelly bean. Tail lights are angled in different directions, one wrap around the body, one spoiler is pointier while the other is round, one has the license place in the middle and the other on the bumper area..
  21. Yeah I can see the Escape because all small CUVs are shaped similarly, same as the rear of it.. It looks like most CUV rear ends, nothing special or significant about it.. But you're definitely on drugs if you think this solid, one piece, grill looks anything like the twin kidney grills on BMWs. It resembles KIA grills..
  22. Which part is Escape? Which part is MDX? This grille doesn't resemble anything from BMW.
  23. I actually like these things but they must be smaller than I thought weighing only 3161lbs with batteries on board.
  24. Oh, I read this "Cummins’ use of a low-emissions internal combustion engine-generator to augment an electric truck’s batteries and provide extended range “is one of the technology architectures we’ve specifically identified as having a business case,” said Van Amburg." and assumed that was implemented in this truck.
  25. I LOVE that it has a Volt-like diesel generator for extended range.
