  1. I mean, that's what's listed on their website. Do you always add destination charges to your pricing? I doubt it, unless it fits your argument. The $28,145 is not employee pricing. Hahaha exactly... so why compare the two???
  2. F150 owners don't as much either. Maverick owners very likely are buying because of efficiency. I'm sure they didn't exactly want a teens city number for fuel economy. Raptors also probably have 28-36 gallon tanks. My MKC with it's little 15.1 gallon tank couldn't get 300 miles out of a tank unless you were driving all highway and also drove it to E. Sub-300 mile tanks is pretty annoying, to be honest. I know these Mavericks have 16.5 gallon tanks, so that is a pretty good improvement, and a 2.3 would still yield over 300 miles now...most likely.
  3. They're listing it as starting at $28,145 on Ford's website right now(2025s). I don't know where you're getting 31k from?
  4. Yeah, that wasn't a very efficient engine though, so I assume they still had a MPG/emissions target in mind.
  5. I really dig what this is. I want to say I'm a little disappointed there wasn't some power bump here, but they know the aftermarket will handle this easily and anybody wanting more power was going to do that regardless. Those wheels.. are FANTASTIC!
  6. With this kind of editing, No. I do not think a disclosure is necessary. Eliminating things around the subject don't necessitate a disclosure, to me.
  7. I have no issues with that use-case. The adjustments absolutely were an improvement.
  8. So it can charge at 11kw level 2 chargers(if they're capable of that) but we don't yet know about the DC charging speed yet, correct?
  9. The variable compression is SUPER awesome but it couldn't be used in a more bland, boring and underwhelming way. This is very Nissan. I also understand it doesn't need to be used in a sporty vehicle to be "cool". It's the total output in a 3-row SUV that makes is suck.
  10. It has to be. It still just seems odd that they'd save enough to not just use something that's already in their EVs.
  11. Practicality got the best of ya... smart. So what made you go the minivan route?
  12. Hmmm that is interesting. I wonder why 7.2 isn't more standard, if they're already accepting L2 charging. Thank you for looking this up!
  13. Yeah, 50kw is certainly better than 7.2 or 1.2 from a house, but it's not great either. Then again it'll be full(or close enough) just by running into any store or eating anywhere real quick.
  14. "fast charging" isn't all that fast for a small battery. 30 minutes for like 35 miles of range added is really slow.
  15. Kind of along the same lines as @G. David Felt. Here in the midwest, I wouldn't surprise guests with something like that, as I feel that's not exactly good hosting either. If it's going to be something drastic, I think you should either ask guests ahead of time if it's something they'll try/eat or you should probably make a much safer backup dish if you're going to surprise the guests. In short: Ask ahead of time or prepare a backup, IMO.
  16. Their website states "... and Google built-in integration."
  17. Everything I've read says the Silverado EV does not have Android Auto/CarPlay. I haven't looked into the others.
  18. it would certainly force a lot of people into EVs. $1/gal in tax seems pretty insane. That's, what, 20-40%, depending on your state/area? That's pretty insane.
  19. IL's has skyrocketed in the last 5 years. It doubled in 2019 and has gone up every year since. I believe it's set to go up again in June or July. Your link and graphics aren't the same information. I am finding it difficult to get an accurate number.
  20. For what it's worth, IL's gasoline tax is currently set at 66.5c/gal of gasoline and 0.545c/gal of diesel. IL's the 2nd highest in the nation... The lovely state of IL.
  21. I understand what you're saying, but what does stave vs federal cover when it comes to those roadways? I know we're having a lot of work done to major roads here on the IL side of the Mississippi River right now and it's been a complete mess getting home after work. But, if I remember correctly, our IL state gas tax went up a couple years ago. Surprisingly enough, I did notice more road work after that passed. So hopefully that means the money is actually going where it should.
  22. I'm glad this breakdown was in the article, because this was the first thing I thought of. I didn't think I was paying anywhere close to $250/yr worth of 18.3c gasoline tax, which I'm not, according to those numbers. I can understand the EV tax being slightly higher due to the pretty significant weight different, but this is too much. This proposed tax should probably be cut in half, maybe more, IMO. $100/yr doesn't seem unreasonable.
  23. See, that seems to make a lot more sense because that's only L2 charging. That isn't *all* public charging, that's just all L2 charging. Thank you for this information!
  24. Yes, I know all of this. The statement was the whole area's average rate, which you and I both know is not accurate. His personal rate is similar to mine. I'm at 11c-12c per kW.
  25. No way you guys have had that for a year already?!? It's been that long??? There is no way the average public rate is 25c/kW. This is as believable as taking 30 minutes to fill a tank of gasoline. I've gone through looking for screen shots of the screen for public chargers in the Seattle area and I could only find 36c or 48c/kW. I'm sure some are lower but I do not believe for one second the average is 25c. I will gladly admit to being wrong, but I sure can't find these.
