  1. This Rolex is amazing. I don't know anything about it but it looks GREAT! It looks similar to the Breitling Navitimer (although it came first). I dig that look but those watches are to big for my wrist. There's so much information that they need to be larger but they're too big for me.
  2. I haven't' gotten into nice clocks yet but I would like to. Watches are higher on the list though hahaha. I hadn't realized Bulova had a watch go to the moon as well. Omega is on a completely different level than Bulova though.
  3. I don't necessarily think it is the best animal but I think they use the animal the best in this 3-D ornament. I think if some other companies did the awesome 3-D hood ornament, this may not be *as* cool as it is. If Ford actually used a mustang horse or cobra snake on the hoods, that'd be awesome! Orrrrr if Dodge put a real Viper head on a hood, that'd be freakin cool. Buuuuut, as it stands in reality, this leaping Jaguar hood ornament is absolutely the best.
  4. Omega Speedmaster, an absolute icon in the watch world. One day, I'll get myself one.
  5. Hahaha I certainly won't expect it but it can't hurt to ask! My last rental from Ford was an EcoSport... Last rental from Lincoln was an MKX or Corsair. I've had both but I don't know the order.
  6. I'll have to do that. I have to call them up and check on a recall issue anyway and see when they can get me in. I wonder if they'd let me take one home overnight as a loaner vehicle...that'd rock.
  7. This is how it's showing on their site. To me, it doesn't look like any ADM.
  8. Not sure if this really pertains to this topic of not buuuuuut, my local Ford dealership has 3 Mach-e's and 1 Lightning right now. It seems kind of odd for a small town of ~10,000 people. Yeah, we usually get these but it seems odd to have so many EVs all at one time. The Mach-e's have been here for probably 2, maybe 3, weeks, at this point. The Lightning has only been there for a few days. After going to the dealer's website, it looks like they have two more Mach-e's "in transit". The Lightning is apparently a Pro, which I thought were reserved for fleets only...? They have $1,000-1,100 in rebates on these EVs as of me writing this. I find it funny the description on their website for the Lightning Pro. 🤣
  9. I've seen 4 or 5 of these things out and about. They're cool looking vehicles in person.
  10. I think this thing looks pretty great on the outside. Of course they botched ANOTHER C-pillar but it isn't the end of the world here. the interior looks great BUT, and there's always a 'but', the all-screen setup is atrocious.
  11. Isn't it's peak charge rate only like 55kw?
  12. Yeah, I don't even have the ole Twitter. I've resisted getting anymore social media than just boomer Facebook. I don't need more BS to mindlessly scroll through. I do need to get the app though. I keep forgetting when I'm at home to download it.
  13. Does that mean it'll get the fast charging that comes with Ultium? That's the only real knock on the vehicles and I don't even think that's a big deal as it's much more of a commuter car to be charged at home anyway.
  14. Yeah, didn't they announce the cancelation of the Bolt within the last year or something?
  15. Nope, the Raptor version comes with a 3.0T. The 2.7T is available on XLT and Lariat trims, per Ford's website.
  16. I honestly just kind of love where Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are going right now. They've been on quite the hot streak the last few years, in my opinion. The new Colorado/Canyon look great. What about the new Ranger with the 2.7 v6?
  17. They did actually say they were acquiring land for these chargers. "One big reason Mercedes is willing to spend billions to acquire land and install thousands of charging stations is to improve, eventually, a Mercedes driver's EV experience, according to Markus Schaefer, Mercedes-Benz chief technology officer, who spoke to the media during CES this week. ...That means finding safe, clean, and convenient places for the stations and a technological back end that provides benefits to Mercedes drivers. " This also isn't just got Mercedes but for every automaker but they did state that they would prioritize Mercedes customers. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a42408047/mercedes-high-speed-charging-network-evs/
  18. And replaced with the Equinox EV supposedly starting at 30k. There's still next to no chance there is a 25k Tesla. Have you not watched what they've done with pricing of everything they've ever sold? Their Model 3 that they said EVERYWHERE was only 35k, was only sold for 5 months before they got rid of that model. Yeah, they may make a few but it'll be in model year 2 and only for a couple months just to say they did it. Don't you understand that? Not anybody will be able to get a 25k Tesla, the same way I can't go buy a 35k Model 3. The cheapest Model 3 is 40k, before federal tax credit.
  19. Tesla is, at a bare minimum, 2-3 years off for this. They haven't shown anything or made an official announcement and we all know how long it takes them to get anything from announcement to customers' hands. I think it's also safe to say that 25k will never happen. If they hit 30k on the nose, that would be a big win but I don't think they will ever sell a 25k car. If they do, it'll be for a couple months, just like the 35k Model 3. They did it to say they could and then immediately axed the trim/model. If I remember correctly, the 35k Model 3 only sold for 5 months. But, GM does have an EV in that price range already. I don't like it, but the Bolt and Bolt EUV are under 30k and are on sale now.
  20. The thing is, they VERY rarely have those issues necessitating a fix. You may be able to diagnose and fix issues on your Samsung but that's because there was an issue necessitating a fix.
  21. The one I had for 6 years, I replaced the battery for $100 and it was like new again. I would definitely recommend doing that when your battery finally craps out. It's much more financially justifiable to spend $100 on a battery versus ~$1000 on a phone. I'm on year 2 of a 13 Pro and it's telling me it has 87% battery capacity. Not bad, not great. If I keep it for hour years, I may replace the battery next year if it gets bad.
  22. 100% and why, at this point, I have zero reason to ever consider a non-Apple phone. My iPhones have all lasted between 4-6 years.
  23. SO if GM was selling EVs to mostly tech people, would you still call all of them lemmings who just want the ease an EV provides? NOBODY wants maintenance on an auto. This isn't specific to tech people. I do find it funny that we complain about how expensive EVs are compared to their ICE counterparts and yet when a company does something to make them more affordable, they're then criticized for it.
  24. I pretty much hate everything Nissan but why do you think they'll go away or be bought out?
  25. almost the entire top 12 or so items all make sense, to me. It's no different than any new form of engine that scare people. They just don't know yet and frankly, EV's are incredibly expensive and saving on oil and brakes will not overcome the 10-20k price increase over a similarly prices ICE. Just because they're a concern, doesn't mean they will never learn and/or adopt.
