  1. We will never know...
  2. I guess we will see how the Mustangs go. Away? No. Adding one next to their other Mustang to drive daily? Yes.
  3. 100%. It would be too late to do so now but if they developed an EV version, I'd be all for it. Heck, even 5 years ago would have been plenty fine. A Mustang wasn't a "AWD 4-dr SUV" either, until they made one. Why, would it make you not buy one? ?
  4. I could me mistaken, but GM has the most generic CUV/SUV lineup of any company. Nobody has a more bland and boring lineup. The only ones that stand out at the big boys in the Tahoe, 'Burban, 'Slade.
  5. Pipe dreaming is exactly what it is. There's also nothing wrong with that.
  6. Then you don't think very hard. I didn't say "sports car SUV". "sporty" is not the same. Kind of like a sporty station wagon. I know that's a concept you understand.
  7. I don't think you're understanding how branding within a corporation can and does work.
  8. Mustang was a model as well, until it was a brand and they made a specific model based off the name. Based on that logic, why ever make a sporty SUV? I mean, "most" are just driven daily to and from work and Walmart. I'd even wager "most" Corvettes aren't driven all out every time either. Why even make the Corvette?
  9. General Motors has zero RWD-based SUV's that compete with high end sporty SUVs. In fact, GM has zero sporty SUVs across all 17 brands. Correct, and Chevy had no Corvette until they made the Corvette. That's exactly how things work.
  10. I still see zero issues with a Corvette-branded SUV sitting along side a Corvette. Make it Cayenne-sized and competitive and it would sell like hot cakes.
  11. Corvette is already a brand of its own as they don't even put Chevrolet badges on the car.
  12. I'd be okay with a Corvette-branded SUV as long as they keep the 2-seater as well.
  13. Welcome back! I have not worked at a car dealership before.
  14. ...what...? It's not hard once you're building up internals and drivetrain parts for 1000hp. They're already known to snap half shafts running bone stock so there's a starting point.
  15. Street racing or unsanctioned racing the Plaid would look even better, because unprepped surfaces. As we already know though, whatever they're selling now need more than just a trans brake. 45k in mods and you have an unreliable vehicle and a Plaid can "do it all".
  16. Correct but it's kind of a goal post move when you say this after also saying there's constant one-upping each other, except Dodge has eliminated their quickest car. Regardless, a Model S Plaid pretty well whoops anything from a factory showroom, including Dodge's 800hp+ machines. I love big V8 power but the Demon was kind of a joke. From what I've read, rarely can owners actually get into the 9's and to do so, you have to then make your car illegal on the streets, eliminating a lot of the cool-factor, imo. So take a Demon, and how much needs to get dumped into it to beat a Plaid? I'd assume it'll fall about in line with what a Plaid costs.
  17. Not sure. All we know is that isn't offered and they offer a less quick car now and Tesla offers a quicker car. ??‍♂️
  18. How long as the Demon been discontinued? 2 years? How long as the Demon been discontinued? 2 years?
  19. Well, Dodge hasn't made anything quicker since. They actually got rid of their quickest car, Demon.
  20. That's pre-Plaid.
  21. No problem, and I would not have thought they would give a 3rd party 100% control of the user interface unless that was the only head unit going in the vehicle.
  22. Hahaha Nahh, exactly what David said below your comment. ?
  23. Sounds like it's a UConnect system with a McIntosh page.
  24. 100%, fanboys of anything are the worst. Like, say, a McIntosh fanboy.
  25. I 100% agree with this and it is probably a superb system. My only issue was stating Mercedes doesn't have an extremely high end system in their autos, especially the new 4D system. Just because they're using an OEM head unit, that does not mean they aren't adding a processor into the system. Hell, even my MKC, Focus, and Escape had separate processors. The head unit is simply just the user interface. "The McIntosh in-vehicle app complements the Uconnect system. When you play audio through the McIntosh app you’ll be not only enveloped in an immersive and sensational acoustic experience with flawless sound, but you will also experience the look of the iconic Blue Meters with their charming dancing needles. Our team worked intensively to deliver an innovative digital simulations that perfectly emulate the analog version of the meters which are symbol of the globally renown McIntosh electronics. You can control most audio playback through the app. The McIntosh app allows you to get the most out of the McIntosh luxury audio system for a sensational acoustic experience that delivers music with zero coloration – just as the artist intended." From what I can see, they have the same setup as the others in which they just have their own app within the head unit to dive deep into the details to customize everything. Where are you reading they had control to design the whole head unit?
