  1. Is it also wrong when shopping on Amazon, when they're just acting as a middle-man, and there are some absurd prices found? Or do you just see the price and say "Well, I'm not buying from here." ? This is a $6-15($15 being really high already). This is different because Apple sets the prices they're to be sold at. They cannot change the price on these.
  2. There are ZERO cars available from an OEM that will lose 2 seconds or more in a 1/4 mile race making pass after pass after pass, in stock form. There is sufficient time to cool to regular operating temperatures on the way back to the start.
  3. I think their loophole is that it hasn't been titled yet.
  4. No, No they do not all take that long to engage. ^ That's a heavily modified vehicle cooling down, not an OE car. I don't think any OE car that should be overheating and need to cool down anywhere near like that.
  5. I believe you're underestimating the people/companies backing Tesla and Rivian. I don't think Rivian is even close to be able to do this yet but they have the backing that if their vehicles do take off well, they could get in on that as well. If not, their partnership with Ford and Amazon could do the legwork.
  6. And judging from this picture, the clearly used GM, looks to have held up great. Who knows how a Rivian will hold up?
  7. That updated interior looks great.
  8. While it looks great, that's a tough judgement call from pictures released by the company. We will really know the quality when it's in consumers' hands.
  9. IL is different here in the bolded part is NOT defensible.
  10. Damn, you can open carry without any license or permit in Washington?!? I also think it's ridiculous to not need any training or courses whatsoever to conceal and carry.
  11. Absolutely. It needs to be taken seriously if you intend on carrying a firearm. I see Ohio requires at least 8 hours of training to apply for their CCW permit. Seeming how I have quite a few months before I can even receive my permit, I intend on buying something smaller and practicing a couple times a month. I took the course with a full size Ruger SR9 but it's too large for me to carry comfortably.
  12. Yeah, it's scary to think there are states what require zero training. Even just a short class on the laws would be greatly beneficial to EVERY party involved. I'd wager most of the people carrying in states that don't require any training have no clue some of the places they're not supposed to carry.
  13. Unless those other options are on you or are extremely good at finding what's next to you at any moment, that's not super relevant. But, I do agree there are many other ways to stop a threat. One of the biggest things our instructor emphasized was your life HAS to be in danger and you also must be able to prove your life or another life was in eminent threat before you draw your weapon. If you pull your weapon and there wasn't an eminent threat, it's a felony. There are many instances of people doing the right thing and shooting under legitimate threats, and still face civil suits because people near by were traumatized. There are also SOOO many places you can't carry at that I realistically don't see myself carrying very often, at all. I mostly just see myself leaving it in my vehicle and you need the license to have it loaded and within reach in a vehicle. I'm fortunate that my close friend group are all pro-gun not not pro-idiot and we all believe some training should be required in order to carry a loaded firearm. It isn't a toy or like movies and you need to know what the hell you're doing when that is on your body or in your vehicle. That "peaceful" protest is a little debatable as they were on private property and were not allowed in the subdivision to begin with (gated subdivision). That was actually relatively local as it was somewhere in the St Louis area. I don't recall al of the details not but I know they should not have been there but the homeowners also should not have drawn their firearms. They should have stayed in their house and called the police and let the legal system do its thing as long as they are not making an attempt to enter their home. They were not under immediate life threatening circumstances. I also do not know Missouri law and what they are and are not allowed to protect. In IL, that would have been a felony, from the best of my very limited knowledge.
  14. I'm yet to go back to a theater but mostly because I'm cheap and it's way cheaper to rent movies after they've been out a few months than spend $50 for two people to go to a theater and get popcorn and a drink. I actually just took the IL concealed carry class this past weekend. I'm really glad it's a requirement to carry a firearm as not everybody should be able to carry. Unfortunately, my state sucks so it'll be 6-10 months before I actually GET the license. 16 hours(8 Saturday/8 Sunday) and the last four hours on Sunday are shooting/drawing/covering exercises. Anybody else here conceal carry?
  15. I completely agree and BOTH parties are extremely guilty of this. I don't care what side of the line one stands on, they're both wasteful.
  16. I couldn't agree more!
  17. That's unfortunate that they'll be rewarded for the ungodly looks, but I do agree that it'll likely sell the best.
  18. In case You needed help seeing it. What about this statement mentioned political affiliation or bias towards any political party? We can just agree to disagree then because ANY money spent, whether you deem it insignificant or not, is money wasted by the citizens that could clearly be used elsewhere.
  19. I have not made it political at all and even earlier I have very clearly stated that all administrations have been extremely wasteful. I have not singled out any political group whatsoever. I'm not saying to buy junk and replace it often. I'm saying they DO NOT buy junk AND they replace it often.
  20. Watch what? What about that comment is there for you to take personally? Oh, I guess because you work for the government. Well, don't piss money away and there wouldn't be anything to complain about...
  21. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you're an advocate for the government pissing money away on things that are not needed.
  22. From the above list, my exterior aesthetics list in order of favorite to least favorite... 1: Porsche 2: Audi 2B: Tesla 2C: Lucid Large Gap 5: Mercedes
  23. And HD vehicles aren't breaking down very often to begin with. Maintain them. If reliability is extremely critical, maintain them. And are you talking about just regular ole secret service vehicles or the ones for actual high ranking officials/foreign leaders that are armored and weigh 20,000lbs?
  24. They're also hard on them because they know they'll just get replaced in a few years. It isn't the tax payers' fault they treat their tools for work extra hard because they're careless. They are not abused anymore than any other HD commercial vehicle.
  25. How do they get abused more than any other commercial vehicle? They idle for 10 hours a day? Drop in a new engine, transmission, AWD system every 50k and it's brand new. The government just loves pissing money away for no GOOD reason.
