  1. Have you had any issues with it so far? i really want to pic up a V6 200 in the next few years, plobably a limited Platinum or an S.
  2. Oh my haha. I am in the process of digging myself out of a hole and rebuilding my credit after a bankruptcy roughly 4 years ago (very long story). I have bounced my actual score back pretty good, but I hadn't had a single load, credit card, or anything except my student loan outstanding and despite the score and because of the bankruptcy and no credit for so many years I had no prayer of purchasing a home like I want to in the next few years. I have a plan to make things better, but it is slow going and unexpected things don't help haha. I can at least pretend to know what I am doing, whether I do or not is still to be seen.
  3. True, how a company handles such issue has one of the biggest impacts on customer perception.
  4. Easy now, so far haven't had any real reliability issues and am aware of what could happen. The tires on the car look to be practically brand new so i was not expecting anything like this so early. The only extra expense as far as being a VW =is that the oil filter was more expensive. I prefer using mobil 1 synthetic so the oil itself is no more for the synthetic European blend. Same with windshield wipers, they don't make them for this particular application in the cheaper brands, but i didn't what cheap wipers anyway so technically no extra expense there. The cooler months are usually a bit tougher too because electric bills soar, mine usually triples. I also had just done a bit of holiday shopping which had kind of drained me.
  5. I agree. Very happy to see VW gaining some sales. i was worried the whole diesel thing could have been more disastrous than it has been, saleswise anyway.
  6. true, but still judging here they could make it much, much worse haha.
  7. Apparently V6s bring even better brakes and some nicer interior materials. I love the luxury interior offered on the 200C. I was surprised how solid it is. The one we had reminded me of my brother's Audi in Chassis feel. I feel the 2.4 is adequate, but just such. Honestly, I feel that way about most of the base power-trains. A v6 is still high on my list fr a future purchase though I love the 16+ Malibu Premier 2.0T as well. Maybe when it is time for the Camry and Bug to go (or the bug to become a weekend toy) we can get one of each for our drivers
  8. And it is just a 10,000 dollar car basically, I didn't exactly splurge, but had to have something lol.
  9. Very true, I live 50 miles from work and spend over 2 hours on the road everyday.
  10. I still like the 200, but yes, time to put the investment into what sells and that happens to be CUVs. It looks like with just a few exceptions, cars were basically down across the board while CUVs are gaining. I wonder how many people are holding out or the 18 Wrangler and 17 Compass which should both far surpass their predecessors.
  11. I kinda didn't expect to have to buy tires already, just had a freak blowout.
  12. Thank you sir. And yes, maybe a couple years those higher end tires will be joined by rims and nice coilover suspension
  13. Yeah, I think they would be decent for a daily driver. Would be nice to get some high end tires, but things are a bit tight right now.
  14. haha. Found a set of cheaper tires with a 40k warranty on discount tires. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?pc=12893&ar=45&rd=18&cs=225 Thinking about these. Cheaper brand, but the reviews are surprisingly positive and they do have a 40k warranty. Thoughts?
  15. Haha, going to start replacing the tires 1 at a time and should have a full set by spring lol. I hate to hear that about your cat. We have both cats and dogs and love them both.
  16. THis is not my week. Got a massive flat on the way home last night in the rain, not repairable. Running the mini-spare until I can get a replacement.
  17. With them apparently having the design, etc nailed down, I still don't see it being cancelled or them just now figuring out a platform wouldn't work.
  18. If this had been posted a year or 2 ago i could see it, but now, i am just not. Mind you, I would rather see jeep put their development money into smaller off-road vehicles like the Comanche and maybe a 2 door Renegade with the half soft top would be neat. iI don't see the GW as really extending the brand.
  19. Seeing this makes me glad the never tried to build the stinger.
  20. I just don't see it as it would be very far along in it's development at this point. I didn't think they were going for a Tahoe size rig anyway, but rather Durango and Mercedes GL (or whatever they call it now) size which already use that platform.
  21. I can'r put my finger on it, but there is just something about this design, as similar as it is, I just don't prefer to the previous model. In any case, if I was looking for top end midsize car with FWD and the top engine I would be hard pressed between the 200C V6, Malibu premier, and Accord EX-L V6.
  22. I hope they do, routing for them to get past dieselgate.
  23. Bah, bug some damage from road debri in the winds the other night. THink it popped the hose off the washer bottle causing all my washer fluid to leak around the foglight bulb on the passenger side blowing it. There is no actual physical damage I can see and the actuall light casing isn't even scratched. My luck though lol.
  24. Haha, it just screams lazy and halfhearted to me. Seriously, i understand a few changes have to be made from concept to production to make it viable, but went from a sporty sedan with a cool shape to blah, blah, generic, blah lol.
