Dream Car Garage: $30K Edition
Except only one of his picks was new, and even it broke the rules. I won't even get into how good or bad the picks were. Highly debatable. Especially on the Equinox. Especially when you factor in MSRP.

Random Thoughts Thread
I just sold my realistic new dream car- Limestone Golf R DSG w/ DCC and Nav. Guy bought it as his daily so he can park his Flying Spur Speed for the winter.

Ultimate Dream Garage: 500-599 HP Edition
Guess there's no point in me even doing a 600HP one.

Dream Car Garage: $30K Edition
It really is. Quiet, smooth ride. Cavernous rear seat. It is fantastic highway flyer.

New GTI Sport DSG New Passat V6 SE w/ Tech Pkg Used Mustang GT Track Pkg 6MT 986 Cayman S Used Wrangler Unlimited Sahara This was a tough list for me. I really wanted a convertible, and that's what made me pick the Wrangler over a 4Runner Trail. I also pretty much had a throwaway choice on one of the new choices, because I didn't want to burn a used car pick on a family ride and be stuck with a compromised 2nd new car. So I just chose the biggest, comfiest, best highway family hauler I could get under the price point. I almost chose a Malibu 1LT w/ options, but even though the 'Bu handles better and is more fun to drive, the Passat rides a little better has more room, more features for the money, and has a sweeter powerplant. EDIT- Just discovered the V6 SE is $30,100~. That's my pick.

Dream Car Garage: $20K Edition
The Cruze is a terrible sub-20K car, imo.

Dream Car Garage: $20K Edition
I'd rather buy an E46 330i ZHP with lower miles and better condition than a rough M3 by a landslide.

Dream Car Garage: $20K Edition
@ccap41 Love me some E46 M3's but for the quality of cars you get for 20K, I'd have to pass.

Sales: Sales Figure Ticker: November 2016
These sales increases are being bolstered by models that aren't even new. Aside from the Alltrak, the rest of their line is carry over. And in fact, some of their trims have been culled, creating less options. These numbers will continue to grow in the coming months as the Atlas comes out, the new Tiguan hits our shores, and the CC is replaced. Passat and Jetta aren't terribly far from replacing either. Throw in the EV models they are working on, and possibly even a truck in the coming years, and it is more than possible they can rebound from Dieselgate and continue to be successful and grow in the future. They just have to take the right steps. It is not a time for them to be timid.

Rolls-Royce News: Rolls-Royce Teases Project Cullinan Prototype
Man, haters out thick on this one. This vehicle does not appeal to me in the slightest, but it's no surprise it's being built. SUV's are all the rage right now. This is RR take on that. This brand has never been about innovation or creativity. It's about excess. This continues that. People will eat it up.

Dream Car Garage: $20K Edition
Fun thread. Although under 20k MSRP on the new car is tough. I'll do mine tomorrow.

Ultimate Dream Garage: 500-599 HP Edition
This was a near impossible list to put together. Many of my all-time favorites occupy this bracket, and I left out some of my very utmost dream cars. E60 M5 Audi RS6 Avant Porsche 911 R 458 Aperta Vanquish Zagato Volante It pained me deeply to leave off the 550-2 Balboni Gallardo, Diablo SV, 575 Maranello, LFA, and 427 Vette.

Cadillac News: Cadillac and Endurance Racing, Take Two!
Guys, relax. Chevy was already competing in IMSA, and this body is on an established chassis. It also uses the engine it has been for several years. GM was going to race anyway, there's no harm in them rebadging their effort as a Cadillac. The development costs for this were very low in the world of sports car racing.

Cadillac News: Cadillac and Endurance Racing, Take Two!
Good for them. I wish them luck. Maybe this new class will make the IMSA WeatherTech series exciting. The last few years have been a snore. They've catered to the ugly Daytona Prototypes and they organize the races poorly in many cases. They need to condense GTD and GTLM, keep Prototype Challenge, and put all 3 classes on every venue, rather than splitting some of them up. I see your point but i think these endeavors are good for brand image and awareness.

Would You Rather: Lux Hot Rod Edition
Man, shockingly civil and reasonable response. Fwiw, I agree. The Bentley and AMG SHOULD have immensely better interiors given their price points. I just wish Cadillac would stop fooling around and go straight for jugular. The only thing worse than building a car that's as good but looses based on subjective stuff is not even trying at all. If Caddy made a Ciel and it lost based on something trivial like styling preference, seats, even ride, I, and most others probably, wouldn't bat an eye. It wouldn't lessen the car in my mind. As for the list, everyone could do a 100 list and then we just tally votes.
