  1. Lolololoi oohhhhh if Opel was so American why did GM never make any money off of it and sell it off? Eff Opel. Eff it. It's no longer a real GM, and that's why it's an awful Buick, and the Lacrosse with decent deals is the better car, more luxo in every way, more car and more better and also made in America...till it's not. No kraut assembled that car, and Chinese buyers love American brands, that's why the Lacrosse prints money there. For the same money I would get the Lax over the Stinger. But for the same money I would get the Stinger over the Regal GS. Therefores this is a tautology. Its true cos it's true. Simple math. 2+2....-2= 0+2 Da real GM is da real GM and deep GM going away.
  2. Japan prisons are way worse than French prison. It's the difference between fine wine and stale piss.
  3. Kia nuff said? What's funny is how Kia can market a RWD car and make it viable but Chevy brought the SS and it was to GM not worth continuing. BTW THE Buick Regal... Is not even an American engineered car. I believe the operative word was 'fukk the Germans. Eff 'em' And of course Opel is now a Peugeot. There's nothing American other than a badge engineer that designed the Buick badge (probably from China too). I have reasons to believe there's moar American and proper German engineering put into a Kia than a Buick. So sad. 🤣 If you are a GM, red blooded Pax Americanan - You would hate the Regal. C'mon Toyota buys it's sports cars from Subaru and BMW now, how the hell is the Regal different in terms of the process of calling it a Buick the same way Toyota calls those cars 'Toyotas' because Buick buys the Regal from the French.and because GM
  4. When the Koreans and fuck it...Lincoln even, I mean you expect the Koreans to rise like Japan, but even head stuck in their ass Lincoln is coming back... And Buick and Cadillac share a measly engine. You like the style of the XT6 moar sure....sure... All I know is that Lincoln is doing with their crossovers what GM did with Alpha platform. So fuck yeah Camaro is the better performance car and the Mustang is a cushy pony car. And the Aviator will be a true luxury SUV and the XT6 will be a cushy minivan without sliding doors. 😎
  5. @dfelt rly? Lincoln Aviator being cheeep? cadillac xt6. cheeeeeeeep. the stinger GT mops the floor with the GS because RWD. In no way is this Buick compelling unless you get a TourX. At that point it does not compete with a Stinger.
  6. And if what @smk4565 becomes real so too will be the death of road trips, drive/thru diners and the whole of middle America. Hmmmm just like middle Earth. Was Tolkien perversly talking about real life? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
  7. The price of battery density and kilowatts has decreased...but the costs of making good batteries has been sharply increasing because lithium, precious metals and other raw materials have a finite supply or are controlled by countries we don't really get along with. I completely agree with Balthazar here. Tesla will never make an affordable car in any traditional sense. Their cars have to be jam packed with tech, because they sure as hell won't wow you on interior quality or luxury features. And tech when new is the easiest to markup or promise like the $5000 autonomous level 5 whatever...which Tesla goes to great lengths to obscure that it's refundable if they don't deliver it. They got so many refund requests there that they put a moratorium on the option!
  8. I never did check to see the aftermath of that thread. What a treat it was to see. @FAPTurbo@Intrepidation@Blake Noble@A Horse With No Name @ccap41@balthazar@Robert Hall Thank you for the community service.
  9. I think the problem is that they have two platforms here. Some auto analyst somewhere mentioned this too. Tesla has two platforms which may have been a big blunder, as their factory is tooled for component sets that while similar...aren't assembled in sequence.
  10. The AT4 looks awful in the CGI photos but much better in real photos. Meanwhile the Denali.... Why can't they just make the entire truck chrome? Why haven't they done that. If for example Denali formula for pricing means 100% increase in chrome trim compared to like an SLT means a 100% increase in price....just imagine what they could charge for a 100% chrome exterior truck. Even paint the sidewalls of the tires chrome. GMC badge only chrome. Bedliner - chrome. Frame....chrome...Underbody - chrome...Interior...chrome...camera feed in the screens, chrome. Rear-view mirror, peerless fully reflective...you guessed it...chrome. So much chrome. So much wow. So much luster. So much shine. Make it into the Denalicade.....
  11. Hey you beautiful piece of professional grade heavy machinery - way to be. These things look bigger every time. Rolling fists of American justice. I almost expect these things to be more military grade than like an Abrams tank...
  12. I think that they decided to even do this on the Continental... Remember the concept doors for the Navigator? What if they did a special run of that too? That would mean that Lincoln wants to take risks again. Luxury car makers are all about risks with design or entering new luxury white spaces. How the hell did Hyundai make comparable (usually better too) to Lexus luxury cars in a decade? By taking risks!
  13. Apple is in the same problem any lopsided market mix companies have. They didn't realize that the iPhone is the only product that people will buy independent of their respective ecosystem of tech. I have an iPhone, a Windows laptop, an Android tablet and a soon to be repurposed old PC to be turned into a Neverware Chromium - Linux based cloud PC. I have it all. But I mostly use GApps. Now if you have an iPhone you have options. It introduces people to Apple. If you have a Macbook tho - you want an iPhone. If you have a Mac, you want an iPhone. If you don't buy an iPhone, you won't buy a Macbook. Period. So that's the thing. Their golden goose needs to be the best of the best. The standard of the world. Hmmmm where have I heard that before? Their new 'notch & science' theme... Blah blah blah
  14. Yup pretty much. And even the bleeding edge innovation in this sector was pretty much hubris. Face ID and it’s competing face unlocks. Emojis or whatever that call those. Beauty modes on cameras. Notch. Bezeless. Nothing that really revolutionizes it.
  15. They make the donor car at Flat Rock but the mods are done by a firm contracted by Ford to make it OEM vehicle.
  16. I love how the owner, to maintain the pride of his or her image debadged it. The truly the finest case of having a sleeper car...when no one know's its a Mercedes... That's a Mercedes? (That's a Buick meme) OHHHHH WOWS.....take my money!
  17. Well I can state that all luxury makes now have superficial status vehicles. BMW X1, their 2 Series Gran Coupe...which makes no sense as it can't be a proper Gran Coupe if it's just a streched out Mini... A Series, CLA....GLA, MKC, NX, RX.....the list goes on. At the same time....the CLA does due to as something as simple as modern tires and like, a wider transmission spread is faster than the proper status vehicle that the lowest priced Mercedes used to be like 20 year ago.....if that's even a thing. I always thought the first gen Verano was great. It had 'Galvano Chrome' even before Cadillac got it! That was some nice fake metal trim, like the highest quality fake metal trim GM has ever made.
  18. @oldshurst442 It's because millennial find driving to be a novelty, and therefore don't have standards for proper cars. Why do you think we're obsessed with vehicles that are unreliable, made by shoddy OEMs and usually are too dumb to fix our own cars. There are exceptions, but we're a but of sheeple that get cooked by all the Tim Crooks everywhere. We're fascinated by all this autonomous tech that bankrupts us on our underwater cars. And when the stuff breaks half the car won't work. And student debt, no one asked you to take it on, go to insert Princeton or whatever here, drop out because of Fortnite, you could go to community college, get a diploma and get a much better P/E right out of the gate. Beeejeezus.
  19. In terms of the front end design inlaid hoods are very good and look much better That's the unfortunate part of D4 is that they couldn't engineer a different style of hood. I think the Continental project was very low budget as it began but when new leadership came they demanded a better product and convinced Bill Ford and then CEO Fields to spend money on Lincoln. Woodhouse brought a great concept but there was no suitable platform for it. Apparently the concept was built on a Panther.... I just find it odd that the Koreans are doing RWD better that anyone else in a way. They're beating American RWD with luxury appointments. They're beating Japanese RWD by having better targeted and more refinement. They're beating German RWD with far better value. And they're beating Italian RWD with almost or already on par American/Japan reliability with the best warranty in the business. The only thing that Genesis lacks is options and body styles. And that hurts because top tier luxury buyers want to feel special and different. While people who would otherwise not consider a luxury brand immediately look at Genesis as being almost or already as credible as Acura, Lexus, even Buick and Lincoln. Then the real savvy defectors from Germans also join in.
  20. They already build it! Now get it to market and put it in a real product. Imagine if the XT6 was RWD and had Black Wing. Escalade is for cowboys, while XT6 for the sophisticates...who am I kidding it's for suburban families, with a high mix of female drivers... Ah if only. I mean you can always pretend that it's a high performance piece because Cadillac.... But I doubt how Cadillac can truly differentiate again...like Porshce, BMW, they're all getting EVs. At that point Cadillac must be alluring and build a no compromise vehicle that will court the naysayers and kill the haterz. And sell plenty in China to be viable, that's not even an option.
  21. Well as said before here by @Cmicasa the Great nice talk Reussy, but you introduce a V8 for your most luxo sedan and the wave of interest and sold out in hours single highhandedly saved the car. Go figure. As much as the LF3 is great, I bet if the ATS-V had a V8 option too, and maybe just a little nicer interior - you would have Camaro buyers upgrading to it potentially, a fire breathing German killer, and a wicked fast furious car...except now with the option of matching soundtrack. This electric stand is an option. But I bet that certain buyers will still pay top money for a real combustion engine with big displacement and no fewer than 8 cyclinders.
  22. Is there a point where even HD truck buyers that need the diesel engine simply can use the extra grunt? What is like the maximum limit. Will they hit like 2000 torques and still have more? Or will like the universe intervene, cause a prototype engine in this class years down the line make a black hole, swallow the earth, be the truck engine of doom... 1000.... Ten 100 torques engines.... In one. You can't even tow anything with 100 torques. But multiply nothing by 10, and suddenly you can tow all the American Freedom. All of it. Thirty five thouserrraand. Pounds. Seems legit.
  23. I wonder if a lifer GM Cadillac-er was thinking there's ...there's kids out there that want to buy their parents a classic Cadillac. Referring to me. He/she is part of the deep GM. The deeep GM. .... And then the deep GM commandeth "BARRA! KEEP THAT CARRR!"
