  1. in that case why did they have to go back to the drawing board and add steel tubing? why not more aluminum? why need to add anything at all?
  2. "IIHS says it comes down to four protective steel bars that Ford installed on the SuperCrew that are left off the SuperCab. The tubular bars, welded to the frame and placed in the front wheel wells, also are missing from regular cab F-150s." So the correction was to do the same thing they did to the SuperCrew. They must have thought the smaller configurations would weigh enough less that they wouldn't be necessary. That's why they have these tests. Good thing they corrected it and brought the safety of not just the SCrew but of the smaller cabs up to a high standard. exactly. people keep crowing about how strong the aluminum Ford is, when really steel came to the rescue. what exactly IS military grade, anyhow?
  3. except Ford "corrects" poor crash performance with STEEL reinforcements. . . http://www.autonews.com/article/20150729/OEM11/150729843/new-test-shows-disparities-in-ford-f-150-crash-protection
  4. doesnt work for me, they forced the current design language onto the old body. not that the other face looks a lot better. . .
  5. the logo makes me think someone looked at the current Chrysler logo for too long.
  6. so, then. did the license the BLS or the 9-3? i know they shared a platform, but this picture is of a mostly complete car...
  7. wow, how incredibly ugly. but it will sell because of the name. if that was a chevy badge in the grille you couldnt give it away.
  8. What are you talking about, the Terrain IS REFRESHED for 2016! It has a new face and tail lights, as well as some interior changes. It also received the 3.6L V6 powertrain back in 2013 to make it more competitive. GM is not sitting on the Equinox/Terrain as much as you think. you need to reread my post. we know it has a refresh for 2016, but I was saying it is too little too late, should have been done 3 years ago.
  9. yes the Terrain is selling well, but to say that is why it doesnt need a refresh is the same as my argument that the Sierra doesnt need a refresh. I know the Terrain will be new in 17, so why wait until 16 for any changes? They should have come in 13-14. The last Sierra went 7 model years without any refresh, does GM think the current one is so bad looking that it needs help? These are some of the thoughts going through my head.
  10. what a waste. this could have waited another 2 years, while the terrain that actually needs work was jokingly "refreshed".
  11. I don't want/need a midsize truck. I have owned a '95 Chevy S10 and an '80 Dodge D50. I just need 4 cylinders and a 6 foot bed. For me anything more is overkill.
  12. http://jalopnik.com/the-ten-rarest-normal-cars-barely-ever-made-1666703964 I have seen two.
  13. The author should note the three vehicles referenced are the same size. Maybe they meant Terrain instead?

  15. I had an 81 Dodge D50. Same sort of feelings. My 95 S10 was close, but no cigar. Still a good truck tho..
