  1. Nah, it was locked. BTW, I was doing some comparison research, and the long version is bigger in all dimensions to the last two generations of Dodge Dakota. And that was about the right size for a "mid-size" truck. I am worried that this is just too big.
  2. Maybe they mean mid FRONT engine instead of mid REAR engine. That seems more likely.
  3. Brand new Ford Transit (full size) on the road.
  4. Ford can do it, Dodge/Ram can do it, but Chevy needs to rebadge a Nissan. Meh.
  5. And yet all Chrysler brands are showing year over year growth for more than 48 months IN A ROW. GM and Ford wish they were working as well as Chrysler. Heck, a couple of months ago the Ram outsold the Silverado. This is being done with a dated lineup slowly being replaced with new product. Look at the new Cherokee, which has sold more in the first five months than the last model Liberty did in a year. In a few more years, the lineup will have turned over, THEN we shold be able to judge how they are doing.
  6. They would have been less upset if it carried a different name. It has a lot of history to live up to.
  7. Oh my. But you know what? Expect to see these all over college campuses in a couple of years... I showed this to my wife, she says it's like a pug. So ugly it's cute.
  8. you know what? the modern origin of that shape of headlamp is the Pontiac Aztek!
  9. another one. sorry for the cellphone shot, but it was spur of the moment.
  10. It didn't have the complete sticker on it yet, and we dealer traded it today for a black one. The black one is already sold, but stickered at about 60k.
  11. this is a big bowl of suck. those are some rare cars, I hope they can be saved.
  12. 2015 GMC Yukon on my lot. Pictures to come!
  13. 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 on a car carrier.
  14. Uh, yeah. The Cadillac Encore. Whatever. If you want to compete in that class fine, but stop the grille engineering. Seriously.
  15. why do I have 2 screens of mostly blank space before I get to the forum topics? I was better when everything was closer together along one side.
  16. "Mulally, who grew up driving an F-150 on his family's farm in Kansas, particularly likes the new truck's front windows, which dip down 2 inches for better visibility. "That's just an unbelievable innovation. You're sitting up there and you need to know where you are," he says. "I think that is absolutely a laser focus on what the customer wants and values." He hasn't noticed that the Super Duty has done this for almost 20 years? The exterior looks like the current truck with a new front clip. A mid cycle refresh. Yet the writer gushes about the daring new body? Please.
  17. I gotta say I am a little disappointed. It is a nice looking truck, but I guess I was expecting something other than a 7/8 scale Sierra.
  18. From the Detroit News: "... When the truck idles, it should use two cylinders. But because of a software glitch, the recalled trucks idle with most of the cylinders. That causes the vehicles to overheat and leads to the fires. All of the vehicles that have reported fires are trucks with V-8 engines. The potential hazard often is signaled by a continuous yellow “check engine light” and an “engine power reduced” message in the driver information center. Recall letters will be mailed Thursday, but customers can contact dealers Monday for appointments to get the 20-minute fix, GM said. Until then, customers are urged to avoid leaving their idling trucks unattended. Trucks produced starting Monday will have the software upgrade. 19. http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs/post--recall-2014-chevrolet-silverado-gmc-sierra-for-engine-fires?icid=autos_5158 4.3 and 5.3 affected. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra have engine software errors that can cause the exhaust components to overheat and cause fires under the hood. Owners should avoid leaving their trucks idling while unattended. Uh oh.
  20. Yesterday Spotted a Pontiac 1000, mid 80's edition in excellent condition. I thought these had all returned to their base elements by now.
