well... except the interior... the interior is beautiful... i cant take anything away from it... i look at the Magnum/Charger interior... and then this... and i feel releived that DCX has not given up on interior design...
but the outside of this car... my god... the taillights and headlights are 2 times the size they need to be... and the taillights are an extremely awkward shape... the way the backup lights are integrated into the taillights doesnt help with the awkwardness either...
that randomly thrown in there "character line" that runs from the front wheel well all the way to the back quarter panel... is extremely ridiculous looking and has no coherence with the rest of the car...
the black plastic window insert on the c pillar looks like garbage...glass is cool too guys...
the greenhouse overall looks far too tall for any car... let alone a chrysler which has been leading the trend in small greenhouses...
the headlight shape and size makes the grill look like its about 2 square inches... the aggressive slant of the headlights also does not match the rest of the car, which is trying (but failing) to be elegant... oh and that that "elegantly sculpted" hood looks like DCX let a 5 year old go to town with a rake...
the lower air dams... why not continue that middle crossbar all the way across? the abscence of it on the central air dam makes it look really cheap and unnecessary
the randomly thrown on side marker is clearly a "oops forgot the side marker..." design... they coulve easily modified the shape of the healights a bit and included it in there...
the overall length of the car looks squished... as if they had this vision for a long, low slung sedan... but then remembered it had to be mid-sized and instead of shrinking it proportionally... they just squished it into the length they needed
in all... im proud of DCX... they managed to show me that a car uglier than the avenger can indeed be made... unfortunately... they make both of these cars...
