  1. mmmmmmmm . . . the Other always was my favorite Ferrari.
  2. NO! BAD RAZOR!
  3. Maybe it is just a regular album? This is the first I've heard of a new album from Metallica, and the title made me think it's a holiday one. Now I'm even more confused. Edit: After checking out the forums on metallica.com, it appears it'll be a regular album.
  4. Well, their version of Carol of the Bells with the Trans Siberian Orchestra was pretty cool. I'm wary of an entire album like that, but if it's all instrumental, it might work. The idea of hearing James growling Silent Night accompanied by the world's most overused wah pedal doesn't sound too apealing.
  5. I used to go to BON occasionally. That was before I knew anything about internet forums, and realized that C&G was actually much better for information on Ford. All I ever remember about BON was a bunch of FoMoCo employees bitching all the time. That, and porn.
  6. Nah, and actually, if I'm reading this right, I think we actually agree on pretty much every point here. How true. Usually, I try to stay out of it, but sometimes I just get into the mood for arguing.
  7. I did read the entire thread, but the fact remains that any defense of that interior is a futile effort.
  8. The same reason America allied with a mass-murderer like Joseph Stalin during WWII. Or gave weapons to the Taliban and Saddam Hussein. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. This week, anyway. Next week, who knows?
  9. That's kind of like trying to convince someone a morbidly obese hunchback with a pegleg and a missing eye is beautiful because they have perfect skin. Ain't gonna happen, man.

    Gay Cars...

    Wasn't that a given anyway?
  11. I saw the new facelifted Accord the other night. It wasn't anything spectacular, and I wouldn't have noticed any difference had I not caught sight of the cool detail work in the taillights. Methinks it's about time for Pontiac to bring back their honeycomb pattern. Something this cool shouldn't be wasted on a Honda.
  12. Those swoops that Chevy keeps putting on the sides of their cars. I know it's a heritage cue and all, but it looks weird and cartoonish.
  13. And suddenly Olds' decline starts to make more sense. Those taglines through the 80s and 90s sucked. I guess the "something" they were trying to start was the phasing out of the product line? My favorites, although cheesy, are the 50s rocket ones. And this one: "To design progressively ... to build faith ... to sell honestly ... to serve sincerely" sounds more like an oath of office than a sales pitch.
  14. I think I've been inadvertently boycotting them for years. At any rate, I certainly haven't been helping them much. From the article, it sounded like those dealerships were specializing in larger trucks and SUVs, and made it sound like Americans were incapable of building a good, small, efficient car. Of course, even our efficient ones don't offer 0.3 liter engines, so it's true that they're not designed for the same cultures. Which to me sounds like the real issue here. A backlash against American culture because they fear that it might overpower their own. I'm sure European Fords and Opels are still allowed. Hell, Land Rovers probably are too. And, uh . . . I thought America had the higher safety standards. If not, why the hell did it take so long for the Elise to get here?
  15. Ummm . . . I think it's unacceptable too . . . I was drawing a parallel to show why "Jap" isn't acceptable either.
  16. Those aren't Aura wheels. Look closer. the circle design is still there.
  17. That greenhouse reminds me a lot of the Civic and Accord.
  18. Yeah, but if you think about it, the N-word is just negro, the Spanish word for black, said in a think country accent. Both are just unrefined versions of more acceptable words that have taken on a negative connotation over the years.
  19. GM: Corvette Ford: Mustang GT Chrysler: 300C Asian: G35 Coupe European: Do Europeans even know how to build a good sub-50K car anymore that isn't the 3-Series?
  20. Now there's something I'd love to see. Someone blasting through the slalom in an XLR to the line "Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops!"
  21. Ummmmmm . . . . What exactly are you talking about? The completely unrelated, though identically named hatchback thing that's sold overseas? Or the Mondeo, the great mid-sizer that ford should've brought to the US five years ago? Or perhaps something entirely different altogether? PS: that sketch of the Montego pisses me off. Such a great drawing that translated so poorly into real life.
  22. A short, curly-haired redhead with green eyes. So naturally, I'm dating a girl who's 5'10", has straight brown hair, and brown eyes. Personality is everything, and she certainly has that. Quite the goofball, to be perfectly honest. Edit: Also, one particular feature isn't nearly as important as the way it all comes together.
  23. Ah, a coupe Passat to steal customers from Mercedes-Benz. Kind of like the W8 Passat that was meant to steal customers from Mercedes-Benz. And the Phaeton that was meant to steal customers from Mercedes-Benz. And let us not forget the wonder of an SUV, the Touareg, that was meant to steal customers from Mercedes-Benz. With all the success these models have had, isn't a "coupe" Passat the next logical move? Volkswagen needs to step back and take a good look at their company's name. The car of the people. Somehow, that seems to have been forgotten.
  24. Anyone else think "No Pilot's License Required" would have been a much better tagline for SAAB than its current one?
  25. Thank you, z28, for reminding me why I keep coming back here. The members' great senses of humor. :P
