  1. yea... i pulled that window sticker off of gmbuypower... it tells you the vehicles... the color engine... you can check every option... also... i was on GMC's website... and it gives info regaurding the 2500 & 3500... and it appears as if the 8.1 is not in production anymore... and it also appears the vortecMax outpowers the HD 6.0 in hp and torque...
  2. heres one at my dealership that i was thinking about.... 3. well GM has updated GMbuypower.com to allow consumers to find the GMT900 silverados. And apparently we have already 9 at my dealership, while our competators have 0... dont know if thats true... should go out to the back to check what the train has brought us... but this should be a great month for the silverado as GM has increased the inecntives from just 2,000 to 4,000 to help blow out all avalible classics... hopefully the factorys will be able to keep up with demand. and fill our inventory to 1000 + silverados... with the options these trucks are going to have... dealerships will need to better manage their inventorys... between the 4.3 v6 4.8 v8.... 4 different 5.3 (allumium/iron & flex fuel/non flex fuel) and the 6.0 v8... these trucks (crew cabs) can range anywhere between 27,000 all they way to 46,000 sunroofs 2 different interiors 4 trim levels that are nearly all different... hopefully GM dealerships can handle this truck... and handle the volume it will provide with the years to come...
  4. all chevys except aveo come with electric throttle for better throttle response... according to our product trainers...
  5. Thats fords best... vrs chevys best on the 1/2 market... and some people say its not a fair fight... but... if its not a fair fight why do people still keep buying fords? if the chevy is such and obvious winner
  6. might need to wait a bit... but check out these videos... got it up on you tube... hopefully you guys all have quick time cause that plays it... dont know if youtube changed the format... ford vrs chevy... again notice... the G80 reall makes sure the chevy has all 4 wheels grabbing the road... where as the only wheels trying to get traction was the fords passenger side front and rear... dodge's limited slip... on rollers... cant go up the ramp like the chevy... notice wheel spin...
  7. 6.0 has AFM... its 367 hp... alumimum block... with vvt5.3 is the only v8 w/ flex fuel... 315 hp... 335 tq 16/22 mpg... only truck over 300hp to get over 20mpg... the tug of war style... was definatly a fight for traction... but 2 vehicles with 4x4.... you'd think it would be more of a fight then it was...
  8. didnt see any denalis there... or any reg cabs for that matter... but the GMC's look nice as well as the silverado.. completely different... from every angle... didnt look inside the gmc tho...
  9. the Chassis stress simulator... was two alluminum railings... that the truck is sitting on... and they strap the right rear wheel of the truck to the alluminum railing and then with hydrolics they reposition the allumium railings... so that in the first example... the truck is balanced on two wheels... the front passenger and the rear(strapped wheel) on the driver side... and in this example they showed that although the truck is dangling at a 45* angle... they could still open each door with ease... that they could still open and close the tail gate without the structure of the box/chassis changing... they showed us that because of this stiffness... they could make the body panel gaps even closer together because the truck isnt twisting... the bed and cab are now only 1.1 inches apart... and even with this thing dangling on 2 wheels... as they put it back on all 4 wheels... you could see the cargobox(bed) only twist about 1/4 inch... in the second example they wanted to show wheel play...so they forced the rear passenger wheel into the bed of the truck (aprently this is where they broke the ford)... the leaf spring was upside down... so it was plenty obvious that that hydrolic was doing a number on the truck... and still the wheel had more to travel... before it actually hit the fender... but in this example all 4 tires were on the allumimum railing... it was quite intresting... this was also built into a display of the G80 locker... with allumimum rail on one side and rollers on another... and ford's 4x4 couldnt climb it... dodge ram couldnt climb it... but the silverado 2wd took it with ease...
  10. dont know about the GMC's but i'd say the WT on the silverado is better then the LTZ... i like the pickup style dash... very nice
  11. Well... today we got to witness the silverado's unvailing... we got to crawl through the vehicles look at the various layouts... GM's accessorys for the vehicles.. we got to drive them, we got to tow them... we even got to ride the competition to compare how high GM has set the bar. ... we were demenstrated the advantages of the locking rear differential, the standard stablitrac on crew cabs, as a stunt driver tried to simulate accident avoidance, we even got to tow with the vortec max's 6.0 367 hp a 6500 lb trailer... according to one of the facilitators when the built the chassis stress simulator... the silverado wasnt finnished so they tested it on the competition... and tweaked the best selling truck in america to the point in which insurance called it totaled... the new silverado really raises the bar... and its really a great truck... looks clean through out and handles very nicely... the LT interior is imho much nicer then the LTZ or Tahoe interior... these trucks ride, steer, sound, look amazing and hopefully will increase sales and give gm the credit it deserves... and if someone tells me how to convert mp4 videos to a format i can actually play... i can show you a video of the silverado and a f150 tied together... and i'll bet you can guess the outcome...
  12. wasnt it yota that said... "i sense much force in you"?
  13. the duramax production is capped... they originally assumed less demand so yes... it was part of the orignal product plan to put the duramax in the silverado seirra suburban yukon... i beleive there is a plan for a smaller desiel to go into them...
  14. yea... i agree our inventory is seriously tilted toward full size SUV's and trucks but the worst part a friend of mine wanted a vehicle under 15k... our cheapest new vehicle in inventory at the time was a 18k cobalt... we didnt have any aveos... and we have to tell customers to come back later... now we have 1 aveo... about 3 cobalts, a malibu a bunch of hhrs... but being the 2nd largest dealership in the western united states... we ought to have an impressive selection of cars!
  15. yea... i cant either... ride and drive here is oct 16... we should have them on the lot before then... we already have some out of production... at least... but i dont believe they are in transit quite yet... but these vehicles will be awesome... gonna be a great few months for me... money will be great, sales will be up!
  16. not to nock the idea, or saying it doesnt happen... but search engines arent the also to inquire about weight loss & penis enlargment to see what truths the internet holds...
  17. the torque steer is manageable... it can be eliminated on front drive vehicles...
  18. so yea... i was driving to the beach here in cali... and what do i see... A GMT900 silverado on a billboard w/ a z06 behind it touting 5/100mile warranty doing there little floating thing... when are we actually gonna get these things on the lots? and isnt this bad that i'm the salesman asking... according to my sources... GM is getting some reserves in texas so that they will have plenty for a while...
  19. ive experianced it... and i can definatly see how it would save lives... i have had traction control keep me from over accelorating off of a hill... i've had stablitrac keep my car on all four wheels... this stuff works and STABLITRAK is rated 2nd to seatbelts for saving lives in accidents... dont remember by which association tho...
  20. well stablititrac is a list of traction sensors... i beleive 4... according to that movie...traction control is acceloration ABS is deceloration many more recent traction control moduals also helped to avoid accidents... or use ABS to individually brake each wheel... Stabilitrac has also roll over sensors... some traction controls were not full speed traction so over a certain speed... they were turned off... but stablitrac has 4 sensors i believe... A G meter going forward... A G Meter going sideways A G Meter for vertical stablity... make sure it doesnt roll and the most complex one i believe is the spinning G meter... and it compares all those sensors with each wheel speed... and uses ABS to adjust each brake to steer the vehicle to saftey... its amazing to see it work...
  21. your right... more along the lines of... FORD CUTS 1/3 of white color... in other news... toyota is selling more tundras then they want to...
  22. yea but GM is saying theres is the best full line auto manufacture including trucks SUV's Luxuary makes as well as ecconomical rides...
  23. it could do it... but performance would suffer if the engine has to be efficent with both fuels... a E100 would have some major gains... but the E85 wouldnt cost much to do... its just different plumbing... nothing too fancy...
  24. ahhhh
  25. where u from ?
