  1. well thats pretty much what the C6R looks like... so... it doesnt even look like a chop to me... http://seriouswheels.com/pics-2005/2005-Ch...p-1920x1440.jpg
  2. no offense frank... i didnt take the time to read your article... but... we are generally tired of journalists not even giving the general its chance.... Personnally I sell Chevys every day... from Aveo's to Corvettes, and from Equinoxes to Suburban... from small to big... and i can tell you... the impala is one of my favorite... the competition has nothing on it in my opinion... camry accord altima... okay now i've taken the time to read it... and while the LS is plain... you neglected to mention that with a dead battery the over sized trunk remains locked... (one thing i dont like about electric release & no folding seats on the LS IMHO the camry accord and altima have an extremely bland interior with a confused design... on the dash, as well as less ergonomic seating... Keep in mind i drive 2004s & 2005's every day... so i know which i appreciate the best... and to tell you the truth my favorite sedan to drive is an 05 impala... while the 2006's are nicer... i have less experiance driving those because they arent as common as previous rentals as they previosly were
  3. honda uses... best of all... its a honda
  4. ... air planes have a lot of wind noise... and quite frankly i'd be happy to have that problem... going 210 mph... but the 2002 camaro ZL1 660hp was capable of 225 if i remember so i dont think the corvette ought to be too far away from that...
  5. not when you beleive was a reason that almost killed you... Many saftey devices are very dangerous... example, seat belts... if you get into an accident sometimes it wont unlatch... (probably less occurances these days) air bags... airbags can kill a person if they sit to close to the wheel, like i do... I'm almost 6 feet, but i almost always slide the seat as far forward as it will let me... ABS... well if you know how to brake... do you really want the car to try control the situation if you can see a resolution... I had a customer that was considering the LS impala because it was one of the only to not have standard ABS in its class...
  6. ive had one or two customers that will not purchase a car if it has abs on it... for various reasons... but none the less would not...
  7. well here in cali you are only allowed 4 lights on in the front... if you have 6 lamps on you can get pulled over
  8. probably pretty good considering the 7 spoke
  9. they are probably doing this to test a tahoe with a 6.2 or afm on the 6.2... or hybrid with the 6.2... whatever... i imagine there is some part of the Yukon that is kept with that concept... if thats what it is...
  10. agreed... it is what that segmant needs without stomping on the cobalts looks...
  11. if i remember correctly i read somewhere it was by law... to fill it on a new vehicle... for us as soon as it gets off the truck we give it 1/4 tank... and fill it all the way on at point of sale... the used cars always get 1/4 tank...
  12. the duramax production is maxed... it was supposed to be used in the suburbans and tahoes when it was originally designed... but they underestimated the demand and decided only vans & HD truck.... why they havent designed a smaller one or another plant... i donno...
  13. Ahah i win.. they were all cars that were offered at dealerships umm yea, i donno
  14. my parents had a rabbit when i was a kid... omg that thing couldnt go over 50 on the freeway, nor could it go up steep hills
  15. all this means is... GM vehicles will be sold at a slightly higher price... and its another several million dollars GM will save per year... its part of the total value promise... at our dealership we give customers 2 free tanks of gas...
  16. well you see that's a trick question... because I'm led to believe socal is the largest market for all automanufacures...but the best in cali is threeway up in bakersfeild.. they have no competition tho... they are the only chevy dealership in like 50 miles of their location... we compete with over 100 differerent chevy dealerships in the los angeles county and surrounding areas... so to be second best is an accomplishment but I'm wondering what is up by 13%. last month I didn't see any improvements over the previos year.. was july up 13% up over july? or is it talking about I'd august results?
  17. Well Friday I overheard 1 of the head business managers discussing how GM was breathing down our dealerships back for being down... GM apparently is up 13% (and it might just be a certain segment, or just overall) but our dealership (2nd largest in western Devision) is down on sales... so i got to thinking... What is up 13%...? did anyone notice a certain segment that last month was up 13%? and why would our store be down? if comparing between augusts sales... I wonder if this has to do with inventory from 2005? because August we still had lots of inventory... durring GMS last year we blew out 1500 brand new chevys in just 4 months... the inventory crunch never hit us last year really
  18. ohh and also... its at pebble beach right now... it got its first 400 mile drive to be shown off its first week in the family...
  19. update... pictures inside http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2433166
  20. ... yes, but regaurdless a impala from 20-30 years ago... gets what 12 mpg? now they are 21-31?
  21. well i know the E85 vehicles generally have lower eps results by 1 or 2 also these vehicles have the AFM correct and the Sticker does not reflect the AFM advantages... at least according to our product trainer...
  22. thats why its not a big player in the global warming as it was 20-30 years ago.... fuel consumption has declined for decades emissions have declined again for decades like they said... a brand new car emits less smog causing elements traveling 12k miles a year, then a vehicle from the 60's that is parked all year round...
  23. umm i'm not sure what he was implying... but motor vehicles are the biggest contributors to fuel consumption, but, they arent the biggest contributors to global warming... and i think he was complaining about dcx making the fwd trans.... not the cars actually being fwd...
  24. this is my understanding as well...
  25. hell they did this to us on the 2007 tahoes... they sat on our lots for like 2 weeks before we could sell them... the only thing we were holding on to... was GM's going to annonce the price on Jan 10th... well Jan 10th rolled around, Actually they still arent quite sure... January 12th... I think it was like the 14th or something before GM annonced the price, and still a few days later before we actually got the window stickers mailed to us...
