  1. hrmmm gm had earlier told its dealers expect in august... hence the chevy.com saying late summer...
  2. thats just what we need... a deisel that revs to 8200 rpms... put it in the cien... no one will recognize it as american
  3. most banks wont loan that low on a used vehicle... so... its actually fantastic... when i was there at the dealership... gm was offering 2.9 on all certified... but we didnt sell certified... and the second best rate was like low 6%'s for used...
  4. dont forget V for Vendeda... he did an awesome job in that movie... but i just was waiting for the... Mr Anderson... My name is NEO!
  5. i think this is more acceptable... but the price of vehicles will dramatically skyrocket if this is to be met and hp will remain... we can always go back to the 140 hp v8's... ohh god... how that would make the 4th gen f-body a classic if power were to decrease in such a fashion... =) the corvette could get 32 mpg if the lowered the hp rating a little and gave it a little bit better technology... hell some people get that already on the manual transmission corvettes... and if the corvette can get it, so should large sedans with lots less power... but with direct injection, diesel cars, vvt, afm, the volt, 2 mode hybrid systems, 6-7 speed transmissions, more manual transmissions, and maybe a few other goodies i left out, should be able to boost all of gm's line up of cars to receive an average of 32 mpg and with 15 years to generate some steam we should have the fuel cell... and some better technology, in the 60's if they could dream of a 505 hp vehicle getting 26 mpg on the highway they would have thought you were mad, they'd think of the viper and say, yah... thats how you do it... with like 13 mpg...
  6. maybe this one will be more to their liking... showing all the advantages of the g80... this video also shows the 2wd tundras limited slip is better then 4x4 dodge's and 4x4 fords... but still not as good as 2 wd chevy also let them be aware... limited slips... slips a whole lot more then a locker... thats why jeeps humers... anyone who knows anything about offroading will go out and get a locker... open differential were designed to allow the wheel with the least resistance get the power, so when going around corners you wouldnt break your axel... then the limited slip came along to have clutches to give minimal power to the alternate wheel... but never enough to power the vehicle forward... thus... its designed to lose traction... also limited slip was later profected for racing at high speeds to keep both wheels powered through turns to keep the vehicle going straight... but do you really want to take a truck at high speeds? my perfect example of how the locker is supperior... as you'll see in this video... the 20% grade... in my backyard i have a hill even steeper with a dirt road... without the locker you must pretty much red line 1st gear before starting the hill or else you wont make it up, and if you dont use 1st you wont have the torque to complete the hill... with the locker... you may come and go at any speed without ruining the road, without destroying the suspension getting up this hill my brothers 4x4 2006 tundra... perfect example how my 3500 practically idles up the hill and lucky to get it on the first try... http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?d...98108&hl=en
  7. yea if you remember at all when they were designing the gmt900 tahoe they said they put the anetena in the window because it cost like .05 mpg... so... they are doing everything they can...
  8. i think i forgot.. More relevant product... but you get the point
  9. hubida hubida hubida thats all folks
  10. i'd so like to see the The Most beautiful Thing on Wheels slogan come back... and the built to last 100,000k miles... put in there... in 1937... our vehicles were built to last 100,000 miles in 1937... we were The Most beautiful Thing on Wheels today, we offer you... the gm 100,000 mile warranty, and we offer you the solstice, the g5 gt the g6 gxp, and the new g8 sedan
  11. funny... i like it... all except for the M-series cause chevy would never do that... that would work for the g6 on epsilon II... but pontiac is already getting ripped a little for copying bmw...
  12. probably dealer option like the porsche
  13. so the gxp g6 coupe is supposed to come out this summer... when will gm start advertising it? and will it run a gxp comercial grazing over each vehicle...? is the gxp g5 ever gonna come out? similar front facia as the g6 gxp but with the cobalt wing? Pontiac needs trim levels like chevy that are the same for every vehicle... not a gtp gt gxp and value leader? they need to stay consistant... a ls lt and ss models (obviously not the same as chevy)... and it wouldnt be to bad for pontiac to have a performace stripper edition for the aftermarket or dealership add ons... but if you know, hey if it has trim level XYZ option, its got power windows and an mp3 player... or whatever and if its trim level ABC, its got leather seats remote start etc...
  14. i think scion missed their target anyway... i see the b's used by soccor moms and green freaks... and i see the a's used by similar crowd... but not young... the tc... yea that might focus a little younger... but mostly women...
  15. soo.. is the hardtop solstice ever supposed to make production?? and if so... is GM planning a next generation solstice or is it just gonna hang like the mazda... for like 15 years?
  16. 08 or 09 should have the new 6speed option i think probably 09 but in my opinion the old 5.3 was faster then the new one... just cause the exhaust opens up a little bit and your lurched forward... i think 1st gear is more timid then the 06's but thats just my assesment... and everyone at the dealership... they were going for fuel ecconomy, so you dont get the same raw acceloration that you did with the previous models... maybe it just seems like it... who knows like my best friends sister... goes to upgrade lt1 to ls1... are you sure this is a v8...? it sure doesnt sound like one...
  17. i like that one better then the first... although a good paint job... i think the frontal hood shot is the least flattering on that car but... also add in there... we wont tell you its more beautiful, but we will tell you the facts... the gxp 260 hp turbocharged solstice, doesnt takes its competition lightly, with a 5.5 0-60 time, that beats the porsche boxter... which do you pick?
  18. lol i told my brother that as he was looking for a new car... got turned away by the high mark up on the srt4 at the time... but hes a toyota humper anyway... and was like naa man thats not true... my stock corolla beal all kinds of z28's
  19. wooo.... perhaps you guys dont remember, that when the concept debued GM said if produced it would be the worlds most expensive vehicle... costing a little over 2 million per unit...
  20. everyone's entitled to their own opinion... accept my wife has a shirt that says "everyone is entitired to my opinion" but... thats the thing here... the sequoia didnt really need a bigger bulkier apperance... currently i beilieve vehicles are starting to slim down and look sleek rather then huge... so i believe they missed the boat, but if the market was to get bigger and bigger... then they'd made a good try... but like the GMT900, although the vehicle is a little bigger, it doesnt have the apperance, most customers said it looked smaller then the GMT800's...
  21. i wasnt saying that the chrysler statement was false... i was saying toyota doesnt have a statement in their advertisement about the tundra's power to forget the GMC denali...but to answer your question... a used z28
  22. see thats the difference between gm and toyota... at gm... they said... lets see if we cant make the LS1 into a v12... and use it in the cadillac Cien... then... they said... it broke the camshaft... so lets make the camshaft stronger! whala! no massive recalls... on a concept i guess if toyota put half the effort into their vehicles that gm put into their vehicles or even their concepts... toyota wouldnt have to pay so much to their pr department
  23. wonder who is responsible for recent designs... whenever we do anything in the army... we do a quick aer... After Excersize Review... first we go and ask... What was Supposed to happen: and someone at toyota will say, Make the sequoia bigger, and give it some stylish que's then we ask, what really happened...? silence...? things to improve on? ....? things that went well...? ...?
  24. can we please stay on subject... if you want to look over SAE numbers... please complain somewhere else... i know i'd be upset to if a vehicle i had was overrated... but simple statements like , will never help a discussion or win a debate. it just makes it look childish... lets just pay attention to the new ways of measuring power... accept the previous vehicles for what they had... whether it be toyota or GM, lets just leave it alone, and focus on the topic at hand.now the question is... how can one company advertise it has the most power, when clearly it doesnt... i never heard any, most power for under 20k like the SRT4 originally advertised... just straight up, 381 hp, the most powerful truck in its class... doesnt that call for a lawsuit or something along those lines?
  25. well got a nice pontiac transform your ride email this morning... not a bad little email... i think i could save a bundle... 0% for 36 + 1000$ off... 750 because i already got 1 pontiac... and 500$ off for milirary... so 0 for 36 + 2250 off... wow.. not bad might make for a good deal on a gxp g5 if they made one i dont think they do tho... ohh well i got enough vehicles...
