indeed, its been a while since "kill buick, pontiac, hummer, sell saab, get 20 way pwr seats in a caddy" has been mentioned. on topic, does this mean that if one wants multiple experiences in a zeta you have to go down under? what does this mean for the invicta concept?

well it seems scum knows no nationality, just this week we had people around here stealing the urns off of graves for scrap money... such a waste but evidently not enough money so someone decided they would go after bigger fish in the form of a memorial statue cast in the 1930's to honor WWI vets. http://www.independentmail.com/news/2008/m...oughboy-statue/ honestly humanity makes me sick sometimes.

so um... is there anything gm can do anymore that will make the majority happy? i'm thinking no.

Camaros, turbos, mpgs and the underappreciated V8
cletus8269 replied to Intrepidation's topic in Chevrolet
good post. i was discussing the Z06 (when new) talking about hand built this and weight saving that and 505hp to boot when a nurse in the ER decided to join in the conversation and boastfully state thats just great in an era with outrageous gas prices and the need for everyone to conserve leave it to a yahoo car company to bring out some gas hog sports car that has no purpose on the street but to say look at me and my salary. not skipping a beat i kindly informed him on the advantages of the Z06 as opposed to a lambo, porsche, or a ferrari. then proceeded to deliver the death bolw to his rebuttal, the fuel ratings of 15/25. nothing sounds better than silence from the other party. theres no excuse for a car company... gm, fomoco, or mopar, to not have at least one effective economical v8 in the line up. v6 is hitting the v8 ranges now and i feel certain days like that of the t-types are about to return. -
if you got a geo you better clean her up and put it for sale! insanity knows no gas price! geo = cash?

hehe a lot better than the ssr super bowl ad, they could get away with the "r" version on adult swim considering the kind of stuff they show. be a lot better than the volt ad where the bulldog is licking the guys foot...

supose why older cars from the 50's and 60's never made it to 100k miles before being traded or sold. granted most jobs were close to home but people just didnt run all over God's green earth like we do today. thats one way to conserve. eat at home, pick up stuff to and from work. does anyone else agree? my sister used to drive to work, come back home for lunch, go back to work and finally come home. 4 trips? understandably she takes it with her now but high gas shouldnt have been why these trends stop.

so on my way to my date tonight me and two other cars all got cut off in our respective lanes... a guy went across all three of us from one side of the road to a turning lane in one fell swoop... in a tC with the window sticker still in place. at least he wasnt on a cell phone so he could fully concentrate on the task that was at hand. i will have to say that my conclusion as to the many toyo terrors is just that. they have a high share of the market therefore numbers are only going to show that toyo drivers are being stupid. mainly we got the fast and furious crowd to worry bout though, in fact some kids got caught street racing just last week on main street... i wonder why they cant figure out how easy it is these days to call the cops with a cell phone?

yeah i like the 1LE's a little more too ( thats the 3rd gen road racer right?) if so i saw one on barret jackson go for 50 a few years ago... the guy that bought it just brought it home, red on red. had all the paper work tags and everything... was just over the break in miles.

when i worked at office depot through school there was a guy that worked there whos previous job was at a grocery store. there was a regular customer who did spank her kids in front of people when they misbehaved. he told me the funniest thing he hever saw was an arguement between that lady and another customer cause she spanked one of her kids. the woman threatend to call social services. Mike said the lady didnt skip a beat... held out her own cell phone and told the lady to call them cause she'd whoop them when they got here too. classic. we had the "richie spoiled" kids too never forget there was a guy 2 grades ahead of me that got a 69 ss red camaro for his birthday/graduation. he raged that car out in a years time. he even went so far as to shut a garage door on the hood cause he said he didnt know it was that close. what a loser.

GM RWD Update: FWD Impala remains, Zeta to merge with Sigma
cletus8269 replied to ZL-1's topic in General Motors
its really sad. its also very odd, my dad actually predicited this abot 5 yrs ago when i was having a conversation with him about all the cars rumored to be coming out, v8 this rwd that, 400hp, 500hp. he asked me why i was getting so excited and i told him just look at the dealership lots... other than a truck or a vette what gets you going? he casually agreed but he was born in 58 and he remembers what the insurance companies did to the musclecar era, and what happened when gas went up. he told me that if i wanted one i had better grab it cause there will more than likely be a 5 yr window and it'll be 1974 all over again. its a shame the next 3 years will be the best for years to come. -

well first amendment allows people to voice their opinions no matter what or how wrong they are hehe... wonder if he'll want a-1 or 57 to go with his crow? on a side note at the bottom of the page http://www.unitedstatesoftoyota.com/ -
anything unda a $1000 price hike is barely worth mentioning, whats $200 when you are paying $12k?
-
it never ceases to amaze me how much money someone can put into a car... and it be in primer the entire time they own it. cars meant to be in primer, i.e. rat rods, are excluded from this bunch.
