  1. The current Camaro is a beautiful car, but it needs to lose about 800 pounds at least...the next generation will be just as hot I am sure. Will start getting excited when the spy shots start coming out & the REVEAL gets closer!! Was disappointed with the new mustang, looks like the same car (pretty much) I DO like those renderings out there that are based on the 2nd generation, one of them is red. Always had a fondness for the 2nd gens. as I came of age to drive then, and drove a lot of different ones. Had a lot of fun & good times in those 2nd gen Camaro models. The view looking over the hood was awesome - loved the heat & air controls on the left side of the driver (so no one could mess with them!) Driving to the dunes & concerts & cruising the main town strip. lots of history in these personal cars.
  2. Why are the wheels on all these concept drawings 1/2 the size of the car??
  3. What a way to bring national attention to sinkholes! Sheesh, with our beloved Corvette - unreal No kidding about that photo, the cars look like toys...it's amazing
  4. COMPLETELY insane pricing. I swear this company is going back to its old ways that screwed them up in the first place. Good luck selling this vehicle.
  5. CADILLAC ULC This one kinda grows on me from 2010 - Except for the whole side of the vehicle swinging up to let peeps in. I'd drive this for sure (in Caddy's 1973 Dynasty Red) Don't hate on me folks.......Leave that for the 2015 Lincoln Navigator
  6. I'm thinking the same thing This is NICE! (and there sure is enough goodies jammed into this car....) I just love the look of a Coupe, this is so sharp. Crest isn't THAT bad, you can definitely tell it's a Caddy Crest - Can't wait to see one in person.
  7. Probably not (imho) Those Benz 4 bangers are pretty huge engines engineered for the power. Unless you meant 'soccer moms', they're always over-stressed!
  8. I'll bet that 355 HP Turbo 2 Liter would be an easy swap, we'll have to look into that for the 2000 C Sedan, nuk...nuk...nuk...!
  9. 84k sold for 2012. Probably most were V6s. Somewhere around 88,000 2011's were sold I believe. These are pretty good sales numbers considering all the other cars out there now (as compared to 30-40 years ago) The Zeta Camaro is a beautiful car, but it's too big & too heavy. Looking forward to seeing the Alpha bodied Camaro, although I am already worried it will still be too big and too heavy. I do like smaller cars - a 2,800 pound Camaro would be very interesting! Chevy will make just a handful of these. They are too expensive. If GM offers a Z-28 option on the Gen 6 Camaro, it will be 5 or 6 grand more. Whatever. Totally not interested in it because of the price, don't care HOW much fiber is in its diet. I miss the old Camaro days. The 1st & 2nd Gens. I miss the 'ala-carte' option choices - I miss VINYL seats, there, I said it. Even sitting on them when they were steamy hot. I miss the cool tiny trunk with the full-size 14'' spare in it. There was no room, but who cared, you were driving a CAMARO! Ramblin' here - GM should have made a Z/28 they could sell 10,000 - 15,000 - 20,000 of instead of 300 -
  10. Z/28 & 75,000 who'd have thunk that... I guess the days of 250,000 Camaro units per year are way over
  11. LOL, no they are pretty easy to crank...only power locks are standard on the base 'L' model. It's pretty cool...you can turn the ignition off & then 'oh, I forgot to roll up the window', then just crank it up! Last car I had crank windows on was my '88 Fiero Formula...they worked flawlessly, along with the rest of the car. 89,000 miles in 7 years with only one problem, replaced the temp. gauge on the dashboard. I miss the 80's
  12. Gizmos BREAK, they always do! I don't NEED a TV screen on my friggin' dashboard! I like the crank windows in my Yaris' - they help keep my 22'' biceps in shape
  13. Which, for an urban environment with minimal needs other than carrying 2 or 3 people and while being on a tight budget (either by necessity or by a conscious choice of frugality) is really all one needs... Why have a ton of gizmos if they break down all the time? THANK YOU
  14. Thanks Ocean, always like your posts. Just especially fond of this car, it always give and never takes. So many cars out there end up being money pits if you want to keep them for an extended period of time. I believe many car problems (no matter who the maker is) are due to lack of maintenance & hard driving. We're a throw-away society - most drivers just don't care...they put gas in it and run it through a car wash a few times a year.
  15. The first 2 generations of the Yaris/Vitz have sold in excess of 3 1/2 million vehicles in 12 years...hardly a 'fail' by any auto manufacturers standards I would imagine. Drive one or two of these cars for years and rack up 100 or 200 thousand miles on one and you will see why they still build them. Reliability is unreal. Things do NOT fall apart on these little cars! At 40,000 miles your typical GM, Ford, Chrysler, Kia or Hyundai vehicle is feeling like a 40 year old hooker...not the Yaris, it's just getting broken in - to me, it's not bland, just basic point A to point B transportation that is really fun to drive. You sit high with excellent visbility. Stereos are great - gas mpg's are way conservative. It has decent creature comforts and everything on this car always works. You can even run through 3 or 4 sets of tires before you need a brake job! People who 'blindly' stumble on this Toyota are really very fortunate to have done so - Thanks for the review
  16. This will only be an improvement. The 2nd generation CTS coupe is one of THE nicest looking cars on the market. Will be neat to eventually see one close-up & in person
