  1. LOL - What is there to add to that ?? Hilarious...! It's a BENTLEY, Bentley folks...leave a big honkin' gas powered V8 or V12 in it !! Jeeves, filler up please? ..and of course, premium Jeeves, but you know that already why I keep telling you that I don't know...sorry! Here's the BP card, thanks boo
  2. Thank you so much for this review - love to read about all the latest cars at this site. The last auto show I went to was in 2007-2008 in Washington DC at the Convention Center there...whichever year it was they had the newly redesigned 2008 Malibu there. I remember sitting in them and being so impressed with the way the interior looked and felt, the solidness of the car, especially liked the rear end. I am really disappointed by the way the 2013 Malibu looks, it seems like a step backwards to me. I'm reading about it here, looking at pictures and thinking..meh Then GM releases the 2014 Impala and I'm thinking WOW, that's NICE - I just don't understand what GM was thinking with the Malibu. So much work & time & money and it looks, well, bad. Your last paragraph says it all...I do hope they can make some fixes.
  3. Small cars can be a blast to drive, but there is definitely an advantage to having some steel around you. I feel safe & comfortable driving my Trailblazer around. On a fun note, hadn't seen the original 'The Italian Job' movie (1969) in decades. Saw it last Saturday night on DVD. The ending leaves you hanging, but it is a neat movie nonetheless. Just got to remember it is 43 years old...it was a completely different time (and filmed on the continent in England & Italy) The clothes, the Hotels, the people, it's a trip...and there are Original FIAT 500's all over the place! All the cars for that matter, really fun to see the old cars in some of these older movies. They TOTAL numerous cars in this movie, I kept thinking man how much would that car be worth today if it didn't end up in that gorge! And, yes, there are the 3 Mini-Cooper's of the time...bolting with the gold bars.
  4. Sweet, 135 HP (vs. Abarth's 160 HP) 19,500 base, decent package for sure. I want to test drive one of these 'lil guys one of these...years
  5. Toyota spent approx. 1 billion to fix the pedals, up to 2 billion loss if you include "future product damage' according to something I read at Forbes...so in the 'grand scheme of things' 150 mil. doesn't sound like that much (scary, I know - ) BUT, it's the 'help keep the company afloat' part that gets me. The economy sucks for jobs - people can't find work - people have lost their homes - so, right now, people are tired of hearing all the huge dollar amounts & carefree spending practices. I do hope they can find enough rich people to make their company profitable, because that is what it will take.
  6. See, they are catchy aren't they? Although, all panel on the drivers side, sorry, I gotta be picky here, it's my dream...er, nightmare?
  7. ...you're always a winner with C & G
  8. OMG I REMEMBER THOSE CAPRICE CLASSICS BRAND NEW - THEY ARE GREAT TO DRIVE !!!
  9. .... said no one else ever... LOL Yeah that has got to be a first, huh?
  10. I hope they keep thinking this way...
  11. Yep, I'll rush out & get one of those babies when they arrive...! Been GM/Chevrolet my whole life...I'll leave the exotics to the dot.com folks. It's fun to follow all of the cars, but I always gravitate towards GM first I'm drooling over a 2012 1500 Express Van in Wheatland Yellow right now...
  12. LOL, good one, you guys are a trip...! I had a feeling you'd get at least 50 mpg on the highway during one of those runs... I am really only good at guessing snowfall amounts before Washington DC snowstorms, but those are a thing of the past. I remember driving brand new Chevy Chevette's that had diesel engines...I though they were pretty cool (probably because they were different) I remember talking to customers and they got some high mpg's with those diesel Chevette's. They sure bogged down when you turned the AC on!
  13. Seriously, he probably has a great retirement package from GM, AND probably had the knowledge he could take the position at Fisker before he left GM...that is how these guys work. He takes over a position the LAST guy had for 6 months? Will this really help them sell a 96,000 dollar car that only brain surgeons, share partners & Hollywood movie stars can afford? I can only imagine the dollar amounts involved in this turnaround...enough
  14. He retired from GM after 30 years...due to the poor economy he had to go back to work to supplement his monthly social security check.
  15. Not into the idea of electric cars whatsoever...kudos to the companies working on them, tho, everything has to start somewhere. Maybe it's just a me thing, I know I will never get one. I'd rather drive a tiny car with a 3 or 4 banger in it than deal with an electric car. I'll leave the electricity for the heat pump & washing machine. I know when I die, the cars in the garage will have internal combustion engines in them.
  16. LOL, wish I had a dollar for everytime I did that to a Chevette, nuk...nuk...nuk...
  17. ...Apparently someone did! I guess we'd all be safe to say the guy needs some help. I heard in some newscast today he was at a convenience store in the same lack of dress, also - All I can say is, glad I stopped drinking...
