  1. The CLA is uncomfortably close to the Cruze. If anything, BMW has devolved. The 1980s BMW cars were a hoot to drive and decently built. Modern BMW cars have lost their way in almost every way.
  2. Ohhhhhhhhh absolutely! This car does not even rate a test drive IMHO. WRX, GTI, Ecoboost Mustang, ST twins, BRZ, Miata, Fiat 124 all better than the SI in so many ways!
  3. I just enjoy busting your chops. Really, I enjoy your posts, you are like an excited and passionate puppy dog. Just refrain from peeing on the carpet and chewing the furniture and we are all good! Actually looked at the Conti again the other day at the local Lincoln dealer. It is growing on me a little bit.
  4. I !!!!! Want!!!!!!one!!!!!!!!!!!very!!!!!!!!!!badly....... myself!!!¡¡¡!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡!!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks! Why¡!!!!!!!!wait!!!!!!!!!for the next t chapter when you can have the whole BOOk!
  5. Then buy the Damned Lincoln already...it comes with heated seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. If they become as accident prone as Mustangs leaving car shows I am going to invest heavily in futures for curbs, light poles and shrubbery.
  7. Given the number of exclamation points I think the Canadian winter has frozen your finger or something. Hey if someone wants to spend eighty grand to announce that sexually they are a vanilla that lost their virginity at 26 I am not going to be the dude who stands in the way.
  8. As far as Balthazar and his points go...The CTS is more dynamic and fresh than anything Benz sells IMHO There is a decent portion of Americans who are as smart as a bar of soap...
  9. Europe is a very closed market as is Japan. Cadillac has my respect for doing very well in the only open and free market on the planet.
  10. As for being built in North America being American... No...that would mean that a VW GTI is an American car. Which it clearly is not. It is a German car built in Pueblo Mexico. An Impala built in Oshewa Ontario is pretty much an American car... But not completely, just as a Cruze built in Mexico is not completely American either.
  11. Chrysler is no longer an American company. The cars in question are built in Ontario. Auburn hills is in Michigan. Marysville is in Ohio. Honda is not an American company either. Nor is BMW which builds cars in Spartanburg.
  12. Given our boyhood proclivities for the Dukes of hazard and Dirty Mary crazy Larry, we have a long proud tradition of cheering when Mopar products die. We are only having a little fun here. As for me, I like the Challenger, it really is growing on me. Was driving out of our subdivision the other night when a challenger was pulling in...my daughter was like Ohh my gosh what a beautiful car... Was really nice sharing that moment with her. Notice that the cop car that dies here is a Mopar also... And speaking of Mopar carnage....the Blues Brothers did in a few Mopar police cars...
  13. ...and I would agree with this also. That it is...an Italian company building cars in Canada...I do not consider this a domestic car in its own right....
  14. The Challenger is really growing on me...
  15. Good science fiction inspiration for a bug species that invades earth and destroys all human life...cockroaches and Civic R's can be the only life left, and the Civic R will still be the ugliest thing on the planet. Please tell me when you ride together you take the Jeep....
  16. There are so few colors with cars any more...i talked to a salesman who said customers really want it that way. Works out very well for my older son, who drives a Silver Acura TL...and loves to speed...there are a blue billion silver Acura sedans on the road here in central Ohio...it blends in really freaking well...even at triple digit speeds...
  17. Enjoy the trip! A bit jealous of your new(er) Jeep....they are a very sharp ride...and I think of you whenever I see one on the road.
  18. Amazing photography, but the devil is in the details and Hyundai does not do well with getting the details of their vehicles right.
  19. Don't know about you but I am seeing absolutely zero vintage American muscle on the road here in Ohio...lots of exotics and other stuff...but zero old American muscle.
  20. People still really want diesel cars. VW Diesels of the late model variety are selling for stupid prices now that they are fixed and back on the market...
  21. Perhaps their is an aesthetic link....people who drive the Type R probably wouldn't a mind a president whose hair looks like cotton candy spun from goat piss...
  22. So long as they are plowing them into inanimate objects and not other vehicles, that's not entirely a bad thing. Given the visual aesthetic of the Type R, the human tree of life could use a little self pruning for those wiling to drop coin for that...
