  1. It would be bullet proof, and the AWD system is fantastic. My boss and my wife's boos both drive one...I think both of those Subies will outlast Gravity. 15 year old examples can be found on Craigslist regularly that have only had semi regular oil changes and the occasional tires/batteries/wiper blades and the like. My daughter wants one of these, but then again she prefers ladies to gentlemen in terms of partners...she finds it kind of funny that she likes these so much and it is so stereotypical a "Lesbian" car
  2. Absolutely fantastic list, Frisky-Love the Miura, and I love that we both chose a Chiron. I thought really, really hard about an F40.
  3. Thanks for keeping C and G current and up to date!
  4. Sweet-Thinking about buying a Focus ST, and love me some F150......look forward to seeing you around!
  5. newer... Koenigsegg... Chiron... And back at Olds Hurst...yes, love the Iso...thought of that one for my list also at one point...
  6. There are several Rolls Royce phantoms sued by Montgomery in WW II, one of them is here in Columbus in a very private collection. A member of parliament came to speak to a group here, and the collector who owned the Rolls drove it to the Columbus airport to pick the gentleman up. Pic is of one of the cars that stayed in England, any of the cars 9the one in columbus or the two or three in England... will do... The one in Columbus from what I understand still has markings from its use in WW II. Third car... I want the actual car that Mario Andretti drove to win the 1969 Indy Five Hundred...
  7. Agreed...peoples contributions to these threads are getting better and better! My list of the high end half mil cars... Go big or go home...I like roadsters and two seat convertibles...car #1...Ferrari NART California spyder http://blog.caranddriver.com/eddies-money-the-family-that-sold-the-27-5-million-ferrari-275-gtb4-nart-spyder/
  8. Thought about you half an hour ago. i had to leave the campus where I work for a continuing education class in HVAC and motors at TRANE. Coming back, someone blew a red light and took the twin brother of your old Jeep Grand Cherokee out of the world. Sad to see the jeep get nailed...glad you are alive and kickin!
  9. ...and yet they are more than happy to build vehicles in China and ship them here.
  10. Love the range rover choice!
  11. See, we are brothers from another mother...i sued to ahve a 55 Chevy, Fiat and Mini are two cars I love, and the Audi is a fantastic choice. Thanks for this list, loved it!
  12. See, I learn something new every time we have one of these threads
  13. Agreed....
  14. That would be really sad if they did have to sell...I would love a Ducati.
  15. Only if you bathe or have teeth and they realize that your not from around those parts...
  16. My list... Lower list of cars...trailer park edition... 1950 Mercury 4 door sedan....love the look of that era car. Polish the chrome, keep the factory Flathead with 3 2v carbs, and the original paint job with lots of patina. 1964 Ford Fairlaine, always did like the look of the thunderbolts, would like to try a sleepr version. 4 door sedan, but with a K motor 289 a la the Mustang hipo cars...a posi...would make an interesting weekend cruiser. First gen Ford F150 lightning, would make a decent hauler for projects I do, and be kind of a unique vehicle. 90's Lexus LS 400 for a daily, would make a nice long running comfortable commuter. Would like an older CJ7, solid, nothing fancy, would make an ice vehicle to take camping on the weekend. High end list tomorrow.
  17. If he wanders south into Vinton county, he will need the sidearm...just sayin...
  18. Apparently the people cooking meth down in Vinton county Ohio have been selling to more than one automaker. Where is Walter White when you need him?
  19. Modern cars are so complex, buying an R title car has some real drawbacks for me...
  20. You followed the spirit of what I was asking completely. I would really, really like to get more discussion going on 1950's era cars here. We used to have a lot of good ones. 61 was the last year for DeSoto IIRC....Would make a neat car! Always did think the 56 was one of the best years for post war Desoto...love the look of the DeSoto Indy pace car that year. 4 door cars of the era deserve a bit of love IMHO also... I always did like the 57 Pontiac. Very clean design IMHO. Your idea of the 83 Eldorado sleeper I actually find really interesting. Drew might not like you converting it to RWD though. Tucker was going to be one of the cars on my high list, but since you chose it, I will choose something else. 17 Escalade probably won't bring half a million, but we will assume you moonlight on the carpentry stuff as a contemporary rap artist, that ought to add about 400K to what someone will be willing to pay for it. Thanks for your response! And next time I will drink either more coffee or less coffee in the ayem, whichever it will take to make things more clear. Think I am going to probably add the F150 lightening in the same body style as the 6 cyl truck you posted up for my list.
  21. These are neat vehicles, a have a friend who is a realtor who owns one and loves it...hers is white...looks good in that color. Chris
  22. I did not knwo being uglier than Klingons existed, i stand corrected!
  23. I can see that. You ahve gotten me more interested in cars from that immediate era...lots of neat stuff built during that time frame. I like some of the old Mopar wagons of the era also. Ingested a Klingon....?
  24. Not surprising. I see a lot of stuff that could be easily repaired totaled because of this.
