  1. Here in central Ohio SUV have money on the hood also. Market is very weak right now. It is a very nice choice. Just not the most interesting or the best, or the only rational choice. Plus, given the global nature of Automotive sales, will be around for awhile.
  2. You won't see one in my driveway. Yes, but this kind of ignores the unique problems that GM and Ford have as full line auto makers. They are not in a position to cut production to meet demand like Honda can.
  3. Happy they are growing in China! A smaller Wrangler type vehicle would get me into the showroom cash in hand.
  4. I still think the Ferrari looks better!
  5. Agree, in it's segment it is a fantastic product.
  6. I like the Earlier and later Ferrari's far better. ...and Actually I think the F430 is not boy racerish, to me it comes across as a little bit plain and under thought...
  7. Would love to bring that back to Ohio and restore it if I had the time, money and energy...
  8. I just hope everything makes it to market...I like both the 3 and the Fiskar....
  9. See, I can't quite warm up to the Lambo's styling. The newest stuff I like and the Miura I adore...but this generation leaves me really cold, actually. Sorry the cut and paste Image makes it look like a VW kit car....
  10. Pretty impressive to get all of this at the price point they are offering the Fit.
  11. Given how the last car was an animal but completely rental spec in every other way, hard pass for me.
  12. I would rather own this than actually almost any Italian super car. 60's Pontiac's are just awesome in white, I find. Were that 64 to be a convertible in white, take me home to your parents-I am yours... Ohh I like them. It's just that I will never own one and don't really dream of owning them. On a rainy afternoon at the library it is fun to look at a book full of them, or the one time a year I go to an Italian car show... But really the Italian machinery i lust after is in the band saw department.
  13. For Balthazar and myself... A very nice color combination. Agree, although for guys like us where the world pretty much went away after the early 1970's....it is not bad by modern automotive standards. That being said, I find even the Current generation Miata to be more attractive than either the Lambo or the Ferrari. Modern super cars are one thing I wish I loved...but really they leave me pretty cold.
  14. If we are going on looks, you and i would both prefer a 64 Pontiac wagon!
  15. I was being sort of sarcastic. I don't mind if people love Honda. Heck, my 24 year old son is doing quite well for himself and drives an Acura TL. It's just the thinking that they are the only car company on the planet that I detest. You mean like Consumer Reports?
  16. Number one in payout of bribes and favors given to Car and Driver to make the ten best list...
  17. F430, no contest. I have zero love for that era of lambo.... I would take a vintage Alfa to go with it....don't need five Italian cars....
  18. They are the largest Honda dealer in Ohio, and I struggle to figure out how. They have well over a thousand cars in stock....as far as I am concerned they can keep all of them. My 21 year old daughter is extremely tolerant of people and the salesman kind of freaked her out...to the point where she asked me never to take her back to that particular dealership. As I said before, what I really dislike about them the most is that from early November through new years they have advertisements on local radio proclaiming Jesus is the Reason for the season. I don't mind if people have faith, but wearing it on your sleeve when you are a car dealer is tacky to say the least.
  19. Raptor sounds fantastic but I cannot warm up to MB products...regardless of how brutally they accelerate.
  20. By your form of argumentation McDonalds must make some of the best food on the planet...Honda is resting on its laurels and has been for quite some time. Market penetration does not equate to quality of product.
  21. Considering that on chassis dyno's the GTI makes its advertised power at the wheels and the Civic is lucky to come close at the crank, yes. When my wife wanted to see the dash board lit up the salesman had to start the car because customers were not allowed to start it due to "the special extreme high performance nature of the automobile." They also got really upset when I suggested that a Mustang GT would be a better sue of 33 Grand that a Civic Type R, when they tried to up sell us to a type R. I merely responded with a Coyote V8 that makes 435 Horsepower is hard to argue with. Not to mention the fact that the Mustang GT is about eleventy billion times better looking that he Civic Type R. ...and with an APR Stage 1 tune a GTI makes about 265-275 at the front wheels, and will probably eat any naturally aspirated Civic SI on the planet.
