  1. Very impressive car, my wife and I test drove a Cruze hatch and were both rather impressed.
  2. Other than the current SS, and the Trailbalzer SS, both of which were decent vehicles.
  3. Methinks the entire world has seemingly become a crap show...sort of like a less pleasant version of Shakespeare "all the world is a stage..."
  4. Cool...I am waiting to see if there are incentives on the GTI or better interest rates in say August or September when 2018's come out and they want to get rid of 2017's. Unlike a lot of other car makers, VW is not currently having to put money on the hood of its cars to move them around here. My middle daughter just graduated college, and is looking at cars. She wanted to go drive the Mustang, so we went and looked at a Focus St and and Ecoboost Mustang. The Mustang was especially nice, but I still really like the GTI much, much better. My wife does also, so that is the way i am kind of leaning right now.
  5. Would be right at home in the rolling junkyards of rural Ohio as is... Ohhhhh..... Vintage American Muscle cars have pretty much disappeared from the roads around Columbus, even on weekends. Saw my 8th vintage American muscle car since January out and about, 68 Mustang convertible, white on red...
  6. Meh....just another average day in Detroit....and yes...the guy in the Ford never made it!
  7. Something like that...!
  8. What is about to happen with every car maker on the planet due to a weakening economy...
  9. ...I made a resolution to myself not to say bad things about domestic car makers when I came back, but this is almost like fishing in a barrel...
  10. Still rather dismal news of the US auto industry we have had with Ford and now this...could we please get something more positive, like a YouTube video of a thug beating up a paraplegic? Kind of scary times for both GM and Ford, really...
  11. The law is not about justice, it is about power and money...and please don't ever forget that...
  12. Agree strongly on the clubs feature...
  13. Glad to know...I love that truck! Ohhhhhhhhh so very true on the GM thing!
  14. The site is doing well...a few new members I really like, it's running well, we have excellent content...
  15. There is a real dearth of new cars I actually like well enough to live with for 60 payments or 60,000 miles. Nothing Honda builds excites me in the least. I would honestly rather live somewhere I could take public transit vs. driving anything (outside of the NSX) Honda builds right now. Pretty much feel the same about Ford, KIA, Nissan, most of Toyota, M-Benz, BMW, Hyundai....and the list goes on. Really the only modern TDI VW's worth owning were the 2015 with the EA 288 motor. The earlier ones the 2009-2014 had a ton of issues...inter-cooler icing, HPFP implosions, turbos, they ran the gamut... But they tow like an angry mule and sound like liquid sex when they are warming up in the morning... I think he was....did you get rid of your diesel truck?
  16. Hard pass indeed...it is vehicles like this that will sell to the masses in droves that kill my enthusiasm for cars.
  17. Our Jetta was the best most reliable car I ever owned before I sold it back. I was regularly getting 58 miles to the gallon on the highway. I have gotten in the sixties and even into the seventies with a friend's 2016 Prius.
  18. I am sure you suffered horribly with your bad day at work...(not!) Highly jealous! Chris Thanks!
  19. It has me thinking about buying one...astonishing that a small SUV will do that well...
