  1. The Alltrack looks like a nice replacement for my Jetta at some point, indeed...
  2. Fantastic list!
  3. Will be checking it out!
  4. But for those who embrace Science, technology and reality there is a bright, bright future. Did you check out the article I posted for you?
  5. Most technology has social elements that resist it when it first came out...basically human behavior....people whined like crazy when steam ships started taking business away from sailing ships...
  6. Cool....we will see how many incentives VW can pile together when I am ready....
  7. Could we all please remove the sand from our respective private parts and act like adults?
  8. I think most of us would just rather see something else from Rolls.
  9. Always a nice surprise. Thinking a Golf Alltrack might be a nice car to look at to replace the Jetta with.
  10. Sadly correct...but that does not mean we have to like it! They essentially built an uglier, more expensive, less competent Lincoln Navigator with nicer materials.
  11. I do agree that the Cadillac lineup looks fantastic.
  12. https://www.brookings.edu/blog/techtank/2016/11/30/5g-technologies-will-power-a-greener-future-for-cities/ dfelt, here is an excellent article for you on what that future will look like...enjoy!
  13. Yes, both companies are becoming more product focused and investing in some cool stuff....
  14. No one who si sane wants to go back to the mess we had in the fall of 2008...
  15. ...and even in the mid 1970's, the Deville name still meant something while Continental was in sharp decline.
  16. Although I would put Cadillac ahead of BMW. If we are talking 2002, then BMW would be ahead...but BMW has become so focused on riding their legacy and building cheap lease deals that they no longer as passionate about product as the once were. Cadillac is now MUCH more passionate about product than they were 15 years ago. Also, Rolls and Bently are kind of type cast (like an actor or actress gets type cast) into building a particular type of car...with Cadillac and Benz, there is a lot of room for creativity. CTS-V wagon and Mercedes Unimog come to mind...
  17. I live really damned well on what other people in my income bracket spend on credit card bills....steak dinner this weekend...you betcha...plenty of cash....not going to Chase! My children and their friends have adopted the same mentality. Not all millennials are sloppy financially.
  18. Believing all of the rhetoric of any one individual is an intellectual fallacy, and does not indicate clear or rational thought. Also, discounting or trying to discredit any information that runs counter to an established bias you have is just sloppy thinking. I will leave it at that. The funny thing is I used to flag races at Mid Ohio, Nelson ledges and the like, and used to know a lot of guys in the Porsche Club and Corvette Clubs. It is a warm and friendly rivalry, and most Corvette drivers and Porsche drivers are complete gentlemen. Making it an either/or dichotomy not only is intellectually sloppy, it is a discredit and disgrace to the people who actually own and enjoy the cars...and have the actual kahunas to drive them at speed on a track...
  19. No different than me using a credit card to buy a $350 router for my woodworking shop in my garage and paying it off at the end of the month. credit cards are like that Router...a tool to use.... Use either a woodworking router or a credit card improperly though and you will get hurt, physically or financially.
  20. The people who remember the real Lincoln as a Luxury make, the Lincoln from the 1960's, are now sitting in a pile of their own feces gradually coming to grips with the fact that this strange person sitting in front of them calling them "mom" or "dad" is somehow biologically related to them... The pic above is not of a continental, it is a glorified NYC Taxi painted black and given some different sheet metal.
  21. Tesla is in deep crap financially, something people do not want to realize. We need to top trying to slut shame people into change, and bring them actual options. As Wings said in the fast charger thread, people in America will buy electrics when they become a viable option.
  22. Sadly, we have also inherited some of the narcissism and overly militaristic tenancies of the ancient Greeks as well...
