  1. Nice looking Z there, BP!
  2. I'm with 'blu on this one...
  3. Critical injuries still happen with modern cars. I have a guy I race against who has a modern BMW (1 series). He got rear ended, and spent 2 and a half months off of work and in rehab. Insurance company fixed the car even though it had like 18 thou in damages...
  4. Having owned (a long time ago) a two door Omni that was a decent but not fantastic little car, I'd have to disagree with the article. I've seen Turbo Chryco 4 bangers of the era embarrass SS 396 Chevelles at the drag strip, so...no I wouldn't call these a failure. ...and the smaller miklls are fu n to rev too. Looking forward to test driving a sonic myself, I've heard lots of great things from owners about how much they love their cars.
  5. I have a huge fetish for vintage alfa's like this one... Since I posted a Miata for myself, I'm going to post this for Balthazar...
  6. I think that this might be a Camino for Camino, but can't tell for sure through the foliage... No doubt about the last two being El Camino's... And a shiny Olds for Olds, just to spoil the mood...
  7. http://www.cars-on-line.com/58286.html Five grand, running project, needs TLC...
  8. http://www.cars-on-line.com/51969.html Just needs some detailing and chrome work...
  9. Wow, last driven and lic in 1965....it's been dormant my whole life. That being said, I know a guy whose uncle has a Dusenbueg that's been dormant for equally long....and won't let anyone else see the car. It's a closed body style 4 door, and will see the light of day again, some time... But wow, less than 10,000 original miles on the Tucker...
  10. http://www.cars-on-line.com/59666.html A little over 19k, but also here in Ohio... 1963 Buick Riviera Buick Riviera . COMPLETE PROJECT TEXAS CAR. Starting bid: US $3,000.00. Right at 10K and right up my alley... http://www.cars-on-line.com/59510.html A code, factroy 4 speed...and Ivy green, my fav. color for the fastback Mustang.... I'd change the interior from green to black, through... Way over ten grand, but way cool...I'd be tempted to leave it unrestored, almost... http://www.legendary...y_GT350_Project As is listed in the Shelby World Registry, this special GT-350 was shipped to Don Wagney Ford in Vandalia Ohio on October 19, 19 65 with a total invoice price of $3,657.25 including freight and a new for ’66 optional rear seat. After a brief period of time with the initial purchaser, the fastback was purchased by a man who would ultimately be the caretaker of the car for the next 46 years. Seeing road use for a few years before going into long term storage, it was in the same storage area that the car remained until just recently when it was acquired by Legendary Motorcar Company. Remaining largely intact, with a little coaxing the 289 fired up and ran remarkably well. In addition to this, electrical components such as lights, wipers, heater blower, charging system even functioned as they should! Having been a little neglected for a few years, but being such a very special car, it is in need of and certainly warrants a complete restoration. It is an excellent foundation with great provenance to begin with. The car even comes with a copy of the original title with all stamped renewals dating back over 40 years!! With major milestones such as the 50thanniversary of Shelby American taking place, interest in Shelby products has only gotten stronger and this GT-350 is a true diamond in the rough and ready for the next chapter of this special history. The transition from the 1965 Shelby GT-350’s to the 1966 Shelby GT-350’s involves a period of 252 cars stuck in the middle. Essentially providing the best of both worlds, the carry over cars as they are called feature the suspension components, integrated tach/oil gauges on the dash from the ’65 model cars with all the brilliant cosmetics of the ’66 including rear quarter windows and a functional back seat. They are a rare breed and quite sought after by collectors for these very reasons. Presented here is a very unique opportunity to acquire not just one of the 252 carry over cars, but one that has been with the same owner since 1966. 12. I prefer fall myself. I'm not racing tomorrow...I'm just too tired and need to spend time with my wife.
  13. Thanks GMCTG and Turbojet for your additions to this thread...all I can say is keep them coming! Oh, and I love the patina of the unrestored Tucker, the aqua/turqoise one. Fantastic, one of the neatest car shots in the whole thread, IMHO.
  14. Not to go off the topic of Verano, but I hear the same daily. Every one likes the look. Some are interested first based on the looks and then others on the smaller size and equipment. Great car, and a lot of demand especially for 6MT models. Not as luxurious inside as the Verano, but an edge still in tech and really fun driving dynamics. Rides better than the TSX in ways too, thanks to the new amplitude reactive dampers. I was very impressed by the Verano, except for the soft seats and softer powertrain feel. Like a luxury car in a small package. Day to day, the ILX sport and polished driving dynamics give it its own edge. I really will have to drive one...but I really was not impressed with the Civic SI I drove. Glad your getting good feed back on the Acura, and a 6MT would be a huge selling point for me. I hate automatics, and I am married to a woman who hates driving them. We have two teenage drivers in the house that learned to drive on manuals and pretty much refuse to drive anything automatic. Thus, the GTI or TDI thoruight for a 4 door replacement family car. I'll check out a 1lx, and get back to you.
  15. A very cool song, blue. every time I hear this, I picture myself driving a 62 Bel Air bubble top, cruising along some pleasant Midwestern main street somewhere...
  16. Get some sunscreen, and get a Miata.....works for me.... Yeah...I am in the refrigeration and A/C repair business...I've been busy....
  17. It should be interesting to see what happens. Politically, I think the republicans may win big in November, and if they do CAFE could go the way of the dodo bird.
  18. Sounds awesome.... HBB Moltie.... You would be assuming correctly....
