  1. Neat interview with this one...and listen to that Big block olds with the cam stumble. NASTY!
  2. It has a nice "higher end" feeling to it, and I have heard great things about the driving dynamics. However, I love the Fusion in its class, and for me personally./...I still like the Fusion better.
  3. I love Columbus, but if I had to do it again, Pitsburgh would be my choice!
  4. That wagon was awesome, and reminded me of how much I miss seeing 1960's GM cars on the road every day! But methinks a Transit Connect would be the order of the day at some point.
  5. I do also like the Le mans for its own sake, an uncle of mine had one when I was a kid, and then traded it in on a 72 Firebird, which was also a great car. LOVE the ragtop!
  6. About a week ago I was sitting at a bar, reading a copy of the Columbus dispatch and watching the Ohio State football game. The Columbus Dispatch does a write up on a local high school athlete on Saturday, and their write up was about a girl from Marysville who played Golf, IIRC she won a state championship. She was also very passionate about older rock and roll music and cars. Her car of choice? Mommy and daddy had her set up in a nice black 4 door Civic SI. The good, bad and ugly of the situation is that we've pretty much lost a lot of the younger generation to American small cars. You think it's some kind of accident that Black Viper owns a Honda and a Vee Dub? As the parent of three teenagers I can tell you, the cars kids are into are NOT domestics. As nice as GM4life's write up about the Taurus was in another thread...this ain't the kind of car that will win over younger fans. Camaro, Mustang and Challenger are fine for us as forty something males...but....we are loosing the battle. The other group we are loosing the battle with is the hispanic population. they love domestic trucks, but seem to really prefer import cars. THIS needs to change!
  7. He's already an "old man" but then so am I. It's an impressive car, and an excellent write up!
  8. If you can play guitar anything like my son, I need to take a road trip to hear you play! Yes, especially when the newer cars are not as fun to drive... A modern Civic weighs almost as much as a 1970 GM midsize car....
  9. Agree on bloated whale.... UmmmI love jags but...not that one! Ace Iron and Scrap is paying $210 a ton right now...I'd be rolling that puppy across the scales and collecting some cash....
  10. I do too, you know how I love sixties Pontiacs and you know how I loveragtops
  11. Agree on more choices...
  12. Ice Cream
  13. Thanks for the competition, some neat cars here...
  14. ...and is also more in tune with what most traditional GM buyers would want in a car.
  15. Neat looking old Ford... http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs912.snc4/72530_458793628255_81759638255_5444146_1197210_n.jpg http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=5444156&id=81759638255
  16. Or this... http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs452.ash2/72504_459286128255_81759638255_5451835_649304_s.jpg
  17. Or try this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/140470012942
  18. +1 big time....! Actually I think GM and Ford are much better....
  19. I agree with this...
  20. Agree with SA, too nice for a work truck...but a damn fine wagon. Methinks you need two, one as a parade vehicle, one as a work vehicle...
  21. I feel the exact same way that you do, 'blu. My only domesticchoices would be a used SS Cobalt coupe, an older SVT Focus, or a very old and ahrd to get Neon ACR...or the difficult to work on but fun SRT-4...which is still around ten grand for a six or seven year old car. Ten grand for a seven year old car ain't gonna work when it's gotta haul kids all over creation and run the auto-x on Sunday. Metrhinks a dose of vintage Pontiac could set me right as well...but then again, I was about 4 years old when a 69 Firebird coupe was built, and I'm 45 now...different time, different place, different era...
  22. I see one really cool vehicle (mothertruck) and one ratty, olive drab work truck/tow vehicle.... good luck, keep us posted, and don't forget about our little 72...
  23. What's wrong with the donor truck, and what parts do you need off of it? Looks like the donor truck could be an excellent work truck with a little help!
