Just so you, Camino and 'blu know that Impala is for real for real, talked to the guy while I was at work today. Car seems like it will be really really good. 'blu, you sure there isn't an Impala in your future? Chris

I like the idea of a trailer or a 5th wheel, esp. if you can hang on to the Silverado. Chris

Sports Teams you Hate!
Who do you most like to watch lose in a sports sense? Me personally I hate Penn State and the Lions. Can't stand Jo Pa and his boys... Would gladly watch OSU go 1-11 to watch them beat Penn State. Also, I've lived in Ohio for 21 years but...I have no love at all for the Browns or Bengals... Steelers all the way for me! And I also can't stand the Cowboys, pretty much. And in Hockey I have no love for the Edmunton Oilers...at all. So who do you love to watch lose? Chris

Keep us posted, dude. Even though your buying a ratty Firebird scares me more than a little bit...I am still living through you a little bit.\ Going to be buying a better family type car, probably going to be a GTI VW 4 door...thinking in August or so maybe. So a Firebird is going to be out of the works for awhile. Chris

Rumormill: Bob Lutz drops more Buick Regal GS, high performance wagon hints
This is a prime time for GM to do this because the current Acura lineup is weak from a visual standpoint. Even my non car friends find them ugly. Chris

+1 and then some. I'm glad someone else thinks the Altima is goofy...and the Accord...well..I won't hold it against oldsmoboi for liking them but I find them ugly as home made sin. Insignia Coupe...would be good! Chris

'76 Berrick
Nice looking old Buick...although if I was going to drop coin for an old RWD V8 car, methinks I'd buy Camino's wagon. Chris

I would get a diesel if you could afford one... But that's just me and probably not realistic... Chris

Check out the 460 Ford powered units. Yes, a few more tranny issues, but most of the guys I know that tow with them prefer the 460 Ford powerplant for wahtever reason. Don't IMHO buy a 350 powered or 351 powered motorhome, even a smaller one, as they are under powered. And seem to use as much fuel as the ones with the larger motors. Good Luck! Chris

That's one reason I kind of am holding off on buying an SRT-4 Neon. The motor bay is soooo tight in those. The Cobalt SS and GTI VW both have more room to work. Chris

The Intrepid Project
Fun to do your own work, isn't it? Glad our fav. Intrepid is doing well. Although I do know where a ferry sunk in lake Michigan, and there was an Intrepid on that ferry. Want to fish it out so you and whitenight can share resto stories? Chris

Exactly. These cars aren't going to all jump to 25K overnight. Be a picky bastard, get yourself a really good 'bird. Believe enough in your dream to be willing to do it right, even if you have to wait a year. I've waited a long time almost every time I've bought a car, and when just the right car comes...nab it. In the mean time, save cash. Money talks, bull$h! walks. Chris

And you guys for real need to quit this...I am laughing my butt off. Seriously, the old 30's pontiac and half the other cars are better starting points than what Knight posted. But I really do hope Knight gets his bird in due time...and I hope its a real bird... Chris

You guys are being too harsh... $7 for some of that Motor majic from autozone ought to bring that 403 right back...$10 for some of that new finish car wax...$3 for one of those pine air fresh deals...a gallon of anti freeze...and she'll be ready for the show circuit. Chris

Push comes to shove
Wish I'd have known, Camino. Co worker just sold a near perfect 97 Z71 for 5 grand...and it was black, too...and manual shift...and an extended cab...and had a nice aftermarket stereo with an Amp. Good luck! Chris

Ouch...poor Solstice, 67 GTO, First gen Firebird...wow! That 67 GTO IIRC someone drove off of a cliff in Greece, if it's the car I'm thinking of. Posted pics of it awhile back as a joke project for Camino. The Solstice looks fixable, as does the G6 Satty posted. They could possibly be "real" cars again, Methinks the redbird is a gonner. Chris

Maybe you can sell the redbird to the US Air Force...they could use it for target practive...preferably with something nuclear. Chris

That Red bird would make a good parts car for in about ten years when you can afford a Trans AM and doing it right. Assuming you didn't need sheet metal, glass, mechanical parts, interior parts, trim parts, or a vin tag that hadn't rusted into oblivion. Seriously, if the Redbird was a 71 GTO I would use it as a parts car. And that ain't no 71 GTO! Chris

The number of people right now out of work or under employed is staggering. Methinks the real unemployment rate is closer to twenty percent, given what I see, Chris

On the road again...
Won't it be nice to be minus one car payment??? Glad she's on the road! Chris

Incredibly Stupid Designs of the Mundane
I can say this, because my wife bought a Toyota (Scion) and I'm not just an idiot on the internet ranting...or maybe I am. The general cheapness of damn near every Toyota product. Not only does our scion feel cheap, the Lexus lineup does as well. Toyota has invested megabucks in advertising in our hockey arena, and they had a Lexus IS-F on display there the last game we went to. It still had the same sort of cheap under engeneered feel that our Scion has. Chris

The intelligent designer of the universe, for the human Body. Why would you use the same equipment for both pleasure and waste disposal? I mean what diety/designer in their right mind would combine an amusement park with a sewage treatment plant??? Chris
