  1. Okay, I'm a post whore but I'm also a car nut. Went to a car show with my son Joel last night. Pro touring 69 Camaro, Cortez silver, car just had the look. 58 Chevy Apache rat rod, also had the look. 70 Cougar XR7 Convertible, red, black top, white interior, pro touring, best car in the show. I just love these little kitties. This one had kind of an Eliminator vibe, even though they never built an Eliminator convertible. 65 Falcoln wagon, Primerd, lowered, polished Americans. Another cool car...an unmolested, never touched 67 Chevy II drag car that looked like it was right out of 1974. 4 door, all original paint, bias ply's...this thing would drive balthazar crazy and it's a Chevy. It was just that original, untouched, and cool. Silver 37 Chevy Street rod that was running a very healthy big block. Chris
  2. Bertone coupe is cool, thanks for the link. Doubt that's collectable, Oldsmoboi. The little P1800 wagons are awesome though. Chris
  3. Thanks for the link, Y-J. Anyone with any more info on the GMC trucks of this era? Chris
  4. Your welcome...I have a few more of the 59's I'll post, and a few more Pontiac pics from the yard I'll post later. Chris
  5. Should be a well detailed machine when it's done! Chris
  6. There was also a one of one purple Corvette that was given away as an award to a GM employee. McDorman had THAT car also. Chris
  7. A well known local collector, Bob McDorman, has the 8th SSR built, and it is purple. He's also the guy that has that sweet 59 El Camino I was telling you about...and he also recently put up for auction the very first 1960 (IIRC) Corvette ever built, serial number one... Chris
  8. Think Prowler was with Plymouth till the end, I could be wrong. Think it became Chrysler when they wanted to continue building the car after Plymouth died. However, I am going to steal a page from balthazars playbook. I'm going to thiunk of Plymouth in terms of RWD Fury's Superbirds and Roadrunners. I'm going to gracefully forget the crappy FWD minivans, the K cars, and the rest of the crap. There is some sanity in living pre-1975 when it comes to domestic cars. Chris
  9. Does anyone here have any info on Pontiac V8's in GMC trucks in the 50's? I know they did it...just don't know the when and where. Any info? Chris
  10. Camino-SSR looks good in that color... I didn't really like the SSR that much when it came out but it is growing on me. I saw a Studebaker Pick up, one of the last ones with the front end that looked like it was off of a lark. Chris
  11. Actually I may get mauled by a bear. I live in Columbus, Ohio but work in Chillicothe, Ohio. Down in Chillicothe a bear is on the loose from the southern Ohio woods. they've tried to catch it, with no luck.
  12. Amazingly, I remember talking to my Grandfather about Civil War veterans he had met. The world has become much less conflict oriented since the 1980's...we don't think about the people who fought for our freedom often enough, IMHO... Chris
  13. Actually, I am 90% sure that I am wrong but I thought I remembered a few of the 78-87 Era Cutty's with a Manual shift... Chris
  14. PETA people can be asshats. However...in this case...Camino is right. Whatever happens to her is too good for her. Chris
  15. 65 Malibu A 65 Malibu post would just be badass as a tan sleeper with a 454 or 396 big block. Too bad this car will never have that much fun... Chris
  16. A shaggin waggon for Oldsmoboi... Chris
  17. Time for a shiny car...the 59 Sedan Delivery I was telling XP715, Sixty Eight, Camino and Balthazar about...more pics later...
  18. Amazing how much everything has decayed and gone downhill in the 15 or 16 years I've been coming out here... Chris
  19. That will buff right out....
  20. ...an old Impala for gm4life...to celebrate his (much cleaner) Impala...
  21. Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick...in better shape....? For VinSeattle
  22. Neat old Pontiac for XP715...
  23. ...another neat old truck. If I don't do anything else before I die, I'm going to own a vintage pick-em-up... Prefer one in a little better shape, though...
  24. This 58 Chevy must be running a big block, as its front wheels are in the air
  25. This 57 Chev. is not as nice as the red one...
