  1. Me too. A bunch were running around when I was a kid...they were more common than Camry's are now. God, I miss those days. Chris
  2. Nearest Chryco dealer to me is going down...but the dealer I wanted to see live (Whiteside) lived. Chris
  3. ...there are indeed. I just never aspired to own...er...um...a Cressida. Chris
  4. I could deal with that... The Challenger is really growing on me. Maybe Chryco should keep the Viper plant to build Challengers, bring out a Wrangler and Grand Cherokee that resemble their previous and not current efforts, and deep six everything else. Maybe they could keep the RAM. Chris
  5. I don't think that Toyota is terrible, I just don't think that they build very creative cars. IMHO, since the Celica of the early 1970's, the only two creative cars they have done are the second gen MR2 and the first gen xB. Other than that...they are just...bland.... Glad your enjoying what must be the last 84 Cressida on the road. Chris
  6. This is in jest, but BV was the first person I thought of when I saw this... http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightline/2009...;mktid=cj260233 Chris
  7. With that vehicle actually I think White. Chris
  8. ...and you are posting plenty of pics once it gets here, right??? Chris
  9. Actually, I just know that gm4life and I disagree on both issues...but I really respect his and Drew's and everyone elses Love for GM. And I do mean love in the most profound, sloppy sentimental sense that there is. Actually, now that SMK is gone I love every single person that posts here. We just need to get over it and all have an all GM caravan somehwere...did I hear "road trip" Chris
  10. And here again is where we agree... The economy is going to get MUCH worse IMHO. I think it will be 2022 before we really start pulling out of it...I would guess things won't start to turn around much before 2015. Chris
  11. Camino...was that 68 442 RED with black stripes? I know you live in PA and I live in Ohio...but I saw a 68 442 also. Chris
  12. ...oh...and I want to see GM get through this and go back to being a privately owned company. I am not for GM being owned by the government forever. ...and yes I believe government has their limitations, and no I never thought you said that all government was bad, gm4life. We can disagree about religion and politics...but thankfully we both love GM. Chris
  13. You were NOT the person I was thinking of...and your an Idiot if you thought that I thought you were an Idiot. Back to the debate, my friends. Chris
  14. If your going to turn into someone like Sixty-Eight, my sawzall will be attacking that nice pretty Impala soon to be sitting in your driveway to take out the B post thingie.... Seriously...as far as the government goes...If I had that Impala...I would take it to lunch with friends, where the employees at the resteraunt would be educated in government run schools. I would drive it on government owned highways, and enjoy a vaccation in a government provided national park. I would use government police to keep it safe, and government prisons to lock up anyone who tried to steal it or hurt me while I was driving it. The government does a lot of good things. My wife works for a local community college, and they help a lot of people get their lives on track. I'm all for the government saving GM, as I think GM is worth saving. Chris
  15. Then you won't be offended if the Cobalt SS generates more than a little automotive lust in me? We're all still GM guys in one way or another. Glad you've got an open mind, Drew. Also glad that unlike other posters your mind hasn't fallen out on the pavement. Chris
  16. Sorry to hear about your bad luck...but this is your model plane, right DF? Chris
  17. Non Political thread...but here's my two cents...while I hate Reagan, I damn sure enjoyed riding around in my buddy Shawn's brand new 84 TA with the T-tops out when Reagan was president. Not everything about the 80's was bad.... But the thread was over with the first pic in the first post. The Hurst Cutty is one of the coolest cars GM ever built. Everything else so far in this thread is just a foot note... Now if we had a 55 Bel Air or a 65 GTO pic...that might be a different story. Chris
  18. Too bad we don't have a time machine so your family could enjoy the cool impalas of the 60's and 70's. Lots of families were Impala familes when I was a kid...thinking about how much we've lost makes me sad. I still want a 72-75 Impala ragtop I think... Chris
  19. I could see buick...if you had, again, a parts car as a "stand in" a 1950's buick would be great...esp. if you did your screenplay in black and white like the movie Sin City or something. Next...
  20. It looks good in silver though...would make a nice "matched pair" with the wagon. Chris
  21. Lived in Atlanta, it is both awesome and a great place to live. Chris
