  1. Smuggle the Healy out and put it in my garage. They have lots of cars...they won't miss just one... (kidding) Chris
  2. Actually I agree with the driver thing., I want to see the Camino back on the road... Whatever happened to the Mothertruck? You still have it...right? Chris
  3. White...BTW...didn't a member here use to own an Impala named Casper (or Caprice...might have been a Caprice)
  4. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/j...et=0&page=1 Clarkson's take on the New Honda Insight, FWIW. Chris
  5. Oldsmoboi, I am glad we have another railfan here at C and G. As far as cars go, I prefer diesel to hybrid. A Hybrid car makes no sense to me, as it takes a certain amount of energy to move a certain amount of weight, and a Prius isn't that far off of a 1960's Bonneville in what it weighs. Chris
  6. Only strange because we are used to getting a POS Kia in blue or red, and not getting the exact car we want. Life magazine, back in 1966, figured out the number of combo's for an Impala. Seems like there were about a million and a half different combo's, depending on how you wanted your car. ...and so, mr. Camino...would you like your Kia crapbox with the babycrap brown interior or the dog crap brown interior? Modern cars really suck bigtime in a way. Oh...and I just love balthazar. I learn or remember all kinds of things reading what he writes. And it's just nice to have someone else that is fanatical about the way things used to be from GM. Chris
  7. ...$h!.... Chris
  8. Agreed....you should have no problems. Just skip that 94 Sebring ragtop you've secretly been lusting after.... Chris
  9. Potatoes... Chris
  10. ...hmmmm...I might have to change my mind...the black 97 comes with leather... Something about the two tone 95 just feels more right, thorugh...can't put my finger on it. Chris
  11. Camino-I had a similar issue when I bought my 55 Chevy...sucks to wait, doesn't it? dfelt-the red and black one with 143k looks wonderful, I like it the better of the three vehicles you've posted. I would however negotiate like hell. When I bought my Miata, sitting right next to it was a Honda Pilot, 2004, 85k...and it went out the door cheaper than your two latest vehicle links. To paraphrase Teddy Roosevelt, talk softly and carry...cash or excellent financing. 2k off the top of either vehicle seems reasonable to me. When I bought my Safari van, I offered them 2k less and was serious...and thye took the deal. Good luck...(and again, my vote is for the red and black one wiht 143k) Chris
  12. Happy birthday, Nick! Chris
  13. Glad you enjoyed it back here where it is green, Cubical. I would love to see your Mustangs sometime.... Chris
  14. ...and remember the Chevelle was emasculated after 70. IIRC you could get a 307 in an SS Chevelle in like 72. Heavy Chevy came with a 307 when you wanted it that way. Irony of Irony I know of two cars that came with a 307 and a four speed from GM...a red 69 Camaro that my friend Allen bought new and a blue Ragtop Chevelle that a customer of mine used to own. That Chevelle was blue on blue, 72, bucket seats...NICE car. Damn, I miss the days when these cars were everywhere and on the street every day. Chris
  15. The Gt-37 or T-37...hmmm...actually remember that one....one of the guys on the football team in high school had one...don't remember the guys name...but he had red hair and the car was white. It was quite a nice car...similar to the Heavy Chevy, which came out in 71 IIRC. Was nice when GM offered things in different flavors and every flavor was good. Mostly what I get out of this thread is sadness and a nostalgia for when times were much better. Methinks those times will never be here again. Chris
  16. Ding ding ding...we have a winner here, methinks. Chris
  17. Depends how sensitive you are to the smell as well...I've known people with alergies to still have problems after the whole ozone thing... Chris
  18. Not just no but hell no. My mother in law bought a Chryco minivan that had been owned by a smoker, dealerhsip tried all kinds of stuff for a year...about once a month...didn't get the smell out. Tried independant detail shops, etc...still no luck. 21 year old University student running into said van, totaling it...and van being crushed and melted...that got rid of the smell. Once it's there it's there. Chris
  19. Saw a 68 Charger R/t in rural Ohio, parked alongside a very healthy looking Duster. Dark Blue T/A firebird, another one, nice. Austin Healy 3000. Chris
  20. 200 cars is not a very large sample group. I wonder if they got some bad brake pads from a vendor or something. Now if it was Toyota... Chris
  21. I always drive under the limit in PA. they seem to be as much as a Nazi state as Ohio when it comes to speeders. Sorry to hear about your ticket. Chris
  22. Last gen WRX-STi is an awesome car, Sixty Eight. Nice choice! Really like the sound of that flat four under acceleration. Chris
  23. Indy 500 Party, my son's 16th birthday, a road tour of southern Ohio with a bunch of car clubs (had everything from vintage British cars to Ferrari's show up) and another trip to southern Ohio with my family yesterday... TTS is a great car....looks good with the other Audi. Chris
  24. Your in much better health than I am. Chris
