  1. Camry Hybrid would be an interesting car for an anti hero. Perhaps someone wanting to end the human race for the good of the planet and they drive a Hybrid... Hmm...plot possibilities are interesting. Tundra= too ugly to die. Any more thoughts? Chris
  2. ...and please, no one reply Camry. Your really lame if the guy who wants to end the world in your movie drives a Camry. Chris
  3. Here is the question-you are producing a big bucks Hollywood movie with a script you've written. The villan/anti-hero dies at the end in a brutal car wreck that ends his (or her) life and the life of the car in a spectacular fashion. What would be a great, sinister car to blow up? Here are my thoughts- 1. Modern Porsche (cayman perhaps) painted black. 2. Suicide door moredoor lincoln from the 1960's, again, black. Would hate to destroy a vintage car, but we could use a Parts car as a stand in. Great anti hero car, suprised it hasen't been used more. 3. What else? 69 Charger R/T. Every other 69 Charger ever made has been destroyed in movies-TV, why not another. 4. I'm going to get flamed for this but...new Camaro. Sinister enough for the sonofabitch who wants to end the world as we know it. Again..black please. 5. Along the lines of Camaro...(new) Challenger would make a great car for a sinister charactor to drive in a movie. What else would be a good, sinister, in charactor car for a bad guy to drive/chase/die in? Your thoughts, please. Chris
  4. Boxster S is very affordable...one of my sons friends dad has one... I wonder how one would do at the local autocross? Chris
  5. The Challenger is really growing on me as well. Hopefully they keep it in production for awhile... Chris
  6. What would be cool for you is a 68-72 Lemans. Affordable, Pontiac, available, good looking, good driving, parts available... Think about it my friend. ...and I hope you have better luck in the partner department soon. Chris
  7. I'd actually like to see it (new Camaro) in white...I love white cars. (off topic) Maybe they'll even have racing series for the new Camaro like they do the Mustang...wouldn't that be sweet...Hmmm...35 white Camaros rubbing paint and running full throttle around Mid Ohio, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta, Road America, Daytona, et al. (on topic) Glad the Camaro is providing jobs for people. Chris
  8. Sooo glad you got it...and your son is going to love it! What a great practical car for a young man...nice, safe fuel efficient ride to haul your friends on a two hour one way road trip to a ball game. I hope he takes good care of it. Chris
  9. ...and 2015 sounds like a nice round number. HMMM...GM...the performance years at Chevy. Start-Small block, great bodystyle 1955 End-Special Camaro, 2015, 60 years later.
  10. ...Any color so long as it's Tan or Maroon, right GM4life? I really hope you get one. Your enough of a GM guy that IMHO you "deserve" to enjoy one. Chris
  11. Agreed, it's a damn fine car and I'm thinking one might be in my future... Parked next to a black SS/TC sedan at lunch yesterday... Chris
  12. ...that generation of Blazer is just tits for running around in the summer and having a little bit O' fun in the mud... Chris
  13. Hopefully your restoring that pre-WWII car you've been dreaming of... Chris
  14. I just read today that they want a 39 MPG fleet average... Divided on this. Would love a new camaro, but not even fuel efficient sporty cars like the MINI hit 39 MPG. But I am tired of giving my fuel money to idiots in the middle east. The Camaro will be around for about four or five more years, and then the next wave of fuel saving automobiles will hit. Better get a Camaro while you can. Chris
  15. Exactly, sixty eight. BTW, how are you doing? Chris
  16. ...and another good deal on a truck bites the dust... Oh, well...guess you could always finish the Camino... Chris
  17. I'll send you a set of depends adult underwear to go with your beige car...and then keep a set for myself as I like the color also... Glad to hear you held on and got the deal you wanted. Chris
  18. Seattle is awesome...one of the guys who is a friend of mine from the Miata club is looking at a job in Seattle, in IT ironically. Chris
  19. How do you like the Zoloft? I am thinking about using medication, if that tells anyone the stress of my life and how I am feeling. Autocross Sunday went very well...work is O.K....country is in an idiotic blue funk fbrought on by lots of people. Chris
  20. On the age thing...I think the biggest thing that may hurt it amoung younger buyers is the price. A lot of people under 30 don't have good jobs, and the job market is softening. So, not saying the car isn't a bargan..it is....it's just a big jump from a Tibron or TC or Cobalt at say 15-18K Vs. 28K say for a Camaro. Which may work in the Camaro's favor if it is somehow seen as less common and more desireable. Chris
  21. Okay...ripoff is too strong of a wording...but...Japanese cars need some styling innovation. They really don't have much in the way of good looks. Chris
  22. I'm not a truck guy but I love the thought of a ZR2 S10. Something about THAT truck... Chris
  23. Nice looking cleanup Job, DF. Maybe you need to self employ as both a graphic artist and a car detailer. Would be one way out of dealing with our recession...I mean depression...er...economic clusterf###. You and Sixty Eight could do some automotive photography on the side and make some $. Chris
  24. About the only way you can counter human stupidity. Chris
  25. I wish that GM would build something like the Original S-10 trucks. I owned two and they were both wonderful...100K ++ use out of both trucks....bought a muffler for one once...other than that just normal maint. Both were 4 Cyl 5 Speed trucks, and both ran 30+ (usually about 32) MPG in mixed driving. As a 4WD, they are an awesome truck for a little slippin and sliding in the dirty stuff...esp. with a 4.3. THAT is my idea of a small truck. Also liked the rampage and Rabbit truck...both were decent small trucks, esp. the Rampage. Chris
