  1. At least it's not the 79...my dad had a 79 88. I have lots of fun memories of high school dates in that car. It's amazing the number of girls you can molest in an Oldsmobile. Chris
  2. But Chrysler more than made up with it with the 3.5 As a former Concorde owner, all I can say is that your going to be very, very happy when you finish your swap. Hell, your making me wish I'd kept the Concorde and fixed it up. Chris
  3. My grandfather had a blue 54 Hudson Hornet. One of his best cars. Traded it on a 57 Olds ragtop that then got traded on a 59 Buick (yes, we've had a B-59 in the family I discovered) which then got traded on a buick 225 ragtop which then got traded on another buick 225 ragtop which he had when he died. My grandfather had great taste in cars. Had a neighbor once who had a restored two door hornet in a funky 50's green and white, beautiful car. Chris
  4. Camino...that would sound good with a 60's style alternative soft rock band backing it up. Chris
  5. Keep us posted. Although another Bonneville would be sweet also if this falls through. When I bought my Miata they had a Bonneville in maroon on the lot...sharp car. Sandstone is a decent Impala color...But that Bonnie looked soooo good in Maroon. for some reason GM cars just look "right" in dark colors. Chris
  6. Keep us posted, I hate having car problems like that. That Era Riv is one of my fav....I want to see it stay on the road. Chris
  7. They are following what they did for the 4th gen Camaro and Firebird, since it worked so damn well before. Will GM ever learn from its mistakes? Chris
  8. Camino-my wife drives a first gen xB. I agreed with you, and said that Scion would be a "one hit wonder." I would lay good money on the line that Scion will be gone in 5 years, probably sooner. Chris
  9. ...it's gonna happen. Question is, what will the automotive world be like a year from now for the domestics? Chris
  10. He still wants a Miata and he still has the Gutless Cutlass at home. RWD could outnumber FWD two to one in Cory's garage... Or if he gets a Genesis, it could be 50/50. All he would need then is an AWD Audi to have all of the bases covered. Chris
  11. Actually the MK3 Jetta is just an amazing car, light, drives well, neutral for a front wheel drive car, decent highway car. Been thinking I'd like to find a decent MK3 myself. Guy across the street from me has a red one like your old one, although it is a TDI. Myself, I'm not much for the Genesis sedan...but your thinking coupe, right? Chris
  12. The Impala is a nice family car... Chris
  13. (drove behind an xA in traffic coming home, passed an xD on the way to work) Let's just hope they take their current product lineup with them. Chris
  14. I actually saw three red Challengers today, two R/T models and one of the orangeish SRT8's. Chris
  15. ...and now our rail systems are much better off. Wondering what a post bankruptcy GM would look like? Chris
  16. ...Looks damned good in white.... Chris
  17. ...if nothing else...you live in PA. You could make back the cost of purchase by plowing a little snow with it. Chris
  18. Seriously, though...when you get to where you've got a little bit of scratch, vipes, what are you going to buy? Another Jetta? A GTO? New Camaro? Miata? I'm interested in what your thinking... Chris
  19. 56 DeSoto was a great looking car, paced the Indy 500 that year and is one of my fav. 1950's cars. Been awhile since I've seen a 62 GP, always loved that body style. As for a 71 Judge, a few years ago a 71 Judge convertible showed up at a car show here in Columbus, and it was a real 71 Judge ragtop, not a clone. Rare car...I think they built 60 something of them, but I can't remember and its too late to look it up. Chris
  20. But the Jetta ended up being a pretty decent car though, didn't it? Chris
  21. Yes...it should really rock, Cory. And please don't take my earlier sarcasm wrong...I am really happy you've got the 'balt. I'd like to see the stereo install pics when you get it done... Chris
  22. That Camaro looks good in red, better in other colors, imho. Can't believe the new Camaro really came out that well. Chris
  23. ...Oh...and silver ain't bad either. I took the day off of work to take my son in for a medical appointment, and we dropped by the local Chevy dealer on the way home. It looks great in silver also... Chris
  24. ...also, driving home from class Monday night, top down, beuatiful night, alongside the river on riverside drive (duh) a wonderful 78 Indy pace car vette. It was intoxicating...sky...stars...river...the vette rolling along beside me with the rumble of the V8 through the night air. Someday I want to own a 78 Indy Pace Car Corvette replica, but my wife thinks they are ugly. Ahhh... Chris
