  1. Damn, Italian sounds good too. Too bad there are so FEW good Italian resteraunts here in Columbus. It's a 45 minute drive to one up north or a 45 minute drive to one out east for me. Jealous that your at another car show... Chris
  2. I just worked a Saturday of overtime, and my wife and I are going out tonight. Steakhouse here we come.... Off topic I know, but it does sound good. Chris
  3. Actually, both first and second gen Neons were great cars. My only complaint about them is that 99.7% of them are Autotrajic trannys. Almost, Almost, Almost bought a first gen Neon ACR that was a Chrysler prototype/pre production car that had made it into private hands somehow. But yeah, Dollar for Dollar great cars. Chris
  4. I'm glad other people here like to read, I thought maybe I was the only one. I do want to re-read Gullivers travells. Read it as a boy and loved it. Right now I am reading Bleachers by John Grisham and Monkeytown, a novel about the Scopes trials. Chris
  5. Even my republican friends think that he is a complete utter MORON. How we elected this dixie cup for TWO terms is beyond me. That being said, I'm going to be paying off a few of my sons medical bills. God I can't wait until Bush is out of office. Chris
  6. Holy cow, priced right, nice color combo, looks to be a great car. I think Tammy has a Chevy in her future! Chris
  7. Awesome! Thanks, Chris D. for posting this. Chris
  8. No kidding! Chris
  9. ...after driving the Camry for about five days, he will... Chris
  10. Depends, I live in Columbus, own a 91 mazda MX-6, 97 GMC Safari, 05 Scion xB. All of them have been on the road in Ohio there whole life and none of them have any outer body or frame rust. Toyota simply screwed the pooch on this one. chris
  11. ...and actually I think you are right about the J-Body Cavaliers devolving over time. My wife and I had an 85 Cavalier when we were first married, two door type ten coupe. 43.5 mp.g. once on a trip, thing was one of the best running carsa I'vce ever owned. Like my old RWD Cutlass, I STILL miss that car. Chris
  12. M30, Sir. The Cavalier isn't worth fixing up...IMHO. Unless by Solid you mean no rust, in which case I would say go for it if only to flip it for some cash. But seriously, M30. You won't go wrong. Chris
  13. Kenny, my college room-mate my sophomore year, drove one of these. 7.5 miles per gallon is about right. Chris
  14. Saw a G8 in white at the Pontiac Dealer down in Circleville. God what a car! Chris
  15. Actually best dashboards.... Really liked 60's Pontiacs better. Much nicer IMHO. Also liked the "dual cockpit" of the old Mustangs and C-2 Corvettes. Those were sexy. ...but Chrysler had some great dashboards also. Chris
  16. Maybe instead of a key you need a brick? Chris
  17. Actually I own one of each...Toyota it is rumored copied the Astro-Van for the xB. Apparently the Astro van is a popular vehicle in Japan, and supposedly Toyota had an Astro in the design studio when they penned the xB. Don't know if this is true, but the resemblence is uncanny. Chris BTW, Funny thread guys, thanks!
  18. +1 Great!! LMFAO Chris
  19. The Cobalt and Malibu are great cars, both seem to really be selling well around here. Glad to see the six speed and the xfe. Chris
  20. Really nice early 50's chev pick-em up, and a nice black GMC truck from the same era. Chris
  21. They do...this is a major F.U. Off topic story though about GM frames. Our Safari was hit behind by a damned SEMI TRUCK. My wife was sitting at a red light and she was hit from behind by a truck doing about 25 m.p.h. It pushed the Safari THROUGH the intersection and about 30 feet beyond. When the body shop went to fix the frame, they pulled the Safari onto the frame rack and pulled a few measurements....still to perfect factory specs. That after being ass-ended by 80,000 pounds of fully loaded coal truck. The body guy just backed it off of the frame rack, and the body shop issued a credit to the insurance co. Now THAT is a damned frame! Chris
  22. Cool site, thanks! Chris
  23. Who makes the best Heavy duty shocks for a Safari van? I use it for hauling and I may soon be using it for some towing, and I need an upgrade. Chris
  24. How much dead dinosaur juice is your G6 drinking? Trying to talk a friend into buying one, and would like some real world numbers from owners, please. Chris
